Soooo sad to leave..love Disney..Temperatures 32-40..(Celcius..ACK!!! HOT) practically every day..Crowds..moderate..waiting times without fast pass: 5-30 min..rarely 30 min though..

We arrived on May 1st at approx 5:30ish (Florida time), settled in..then headed for Wal-Mart to get some extra snacks/water/styrofoam cooler..

May 2..headed for Animal Kingdom..had breakfast at Tusker House..did Kali River Rapids twice, Ex. Everest..4 times..Primival Whirl..3 times plus did the trails, Dinosaur ride and everything else but the Safari..(we did it twice the year before)
We all loved Animal Kingdom..I think its our fav park.

May 3...off to Epcot. We did Soarin (10 min wait!..great!), the land, the Epcot Ball ride (not sure what its called but its a very good ride), basically covered ALOT of the front section of Epcot. Didn't do World Showcase this day..but came back on Wednesday to do it.

May 4..Blizzard Beach..great day!

May 5..Hollywood Studios..hubby and oldest son did Tower of Terror..We all did Rockin Rollercoaster twice. Toy Story Mania was great! managed to do it once though..line ups for Fast Pass were crazy..Muppets 3D was cute..not something we would return to but nice. Saw part of the Block Party Parade..kids got a nerf ball from the show. We did see the Lights, Camera, Action show..which was interesting. Boys loved it. We sat next to an overhead fan..thank gawd!!

May 6..our Open Day..we went back to Epcot..did the World Showcase..did the ride Malstrom..it was ok. Hubby bought me Designer Perfume from Norway for Mothers Day (the designer was there and signed the purse that came with it and all the bottles), it was hotter than heck so we did about 2 hours of it. We did manage to stick around the Canadian Pavillion and watch a performance by "Off Kilter" a great band..from our Home and Native Land of course lol. We all had tickets for a 6:00 p.m. show at Cirque du Soleil..La Nouba..GREAT!!!! it was really interesting and entertaining. Took the boys next door to Disney Quest for an hour or so..wonderful..good to know that we didn't need to bring money cause it was paid for by our theme park pass.

May 7...SeaWorld..watched Shamu show..dolphin show..wonderful! once again..HOTTER THAN HELL..cab driver said the temperature that day was over 100F!!! Hubby and oldest son (12) did Kraken..(rollercoaster) I opted out since I was crabby, overheated and had a migrane. (FYI>for both Manta and Kraken heights min..51 or 54"..unfortunately the youngest who is 8 was too short..he was not pleased and felt left out..:o( (and majorly cranky about the heat)..we did the Wild Artic ride as well..that was a nightmare cause alot of young girls screamed the whole time! (it was a similulator ride)..Manta was open but didnt feel up to par to go on (soft opening (pre-opening))

May 8..Magic Kingdom..Did Thunder Mountain Railroad..3 times..Splash Mountain..twice, Dumbo, Flying Carpets, Monsters Inc. Laugh floor (very funny!), Haunted Mansion oh ate at Liberty Tavern...omg..good! I've never been so excited to see Mash Potatoes again lol..we covered alot of ground that day so we must have covered mostly all the park...(there's alot of stores there)

Our 8 year old son had an accident..paramedics were called in, reports were taken..as we were going on the Jungle Cruise..he had one foot on the boat and it started drifting out..the Disney Cast member didn't secure it to the dock properly..(it drifted about about 1 1/2 feet) and his foot slipped off and he fell into the water between the boat and the dock..he got a nasty bruise/bump but recovered..as we said afterwards..if he would have went under the water under the boat he would have been in trouble cause it was too narrow an opening for an adult to get in to get him.

That was his "magical moment" for that day..gawd!

May 9..Aquatica..wasn't at all what I expected really. We did the roarin rapids 5 times but other than that we arrived at 9:00 ish a.m. and could have easily left by 1:00..too much crammed into a small piece of land in my opinion..its somewhat a mimic of Blizzard Beach/typhoon lagoon..probably won't return here.

May 10..Leaving day..sooooo sad..but we did have a nice Mothers' Day breakfast at Chef Mickey before we left. Hung around the hotel room and pool and headed for the airport at 2:45 but had to wait for a group of kids who's group leader didnt have his crap together so he was missing kids and paperwork for his return trip which held up the bus and some people were close to missing their flight.

In a nutshell..our trip was a fantastic one...I am contemplating returning for my 40th birthday next year..we saw alot, did alot, tried different foods, even ventured off of Disney's property for a bit..it was busy but a great rewarding trip with alot of quality family time.

Awesome! Glad you had a great time! Blessings, Sandra

Hire a lawyer and your next trip to Disney might be free... :D

Glad you had fun! We were there at the same time (Apr 29-May 10) and it was HOT!! We found that we really couldn't do too much in the afternoon because of the sun so we relaxed and swam in the pool most days and hit the park late afternoon. We stayed until closing and the evenings were beautiful, although still very warm. I'm so glad that your son is OK...I'm sure you received quite a scare. Things happen so quickly. Where did you stay?

We were there too! It was very hot and I found the rides busy. Toy story was outragous. Fast passes gone before noon.

My DH was wondering if any of you were at Spectro Magic on May 3rd. He stood by a man with a Nova Scotia shirt on.

HEY I KNOW YOU! LOL I posted to you at TP, 3rd reply. Asked you if the ride went down.

LOL!

Well again, welcome back!

Glad to hear you had a good time despite bumps.

I'm a bit worried tho-if it was that warm in May, what will it be like in August????

We are still here - arrived May 6th and boy is it hot here. We went on the Wonder cruise - May 10th -14th and are back at WDW.

It's still hot here.

August is really hot and really humid. Be prepared and drink lots of water.

I can't wait until our HOT July trip! Because we did all the park stuff in March, July trip is all about water parks, pools and RELAXING! LOVE THE HEAT! S :woohoo:

we stayed at pop century..we braved each and every hot day at the parks and surrendered ourselves to the pool in the evenings lol..

Welcome back!

Welcome back
Glad to hear you had a good time
Too bad about your son - did Disney offer up anything to help smooth it over?

BTW "the Epcot Ball ride (not sure what its called but its a very good ride)" is called Spaceship Earth
