High speed internet access and laptop computers: what a combo!

We are here at the Dolphin (1st time to stay here).

We were at DAK yesterday and MGM today. Crowds aren't as bad as I expected them to be (so far), but it sure is HOT!

How does the new Soarin' ride feel at Epcot - have you been on it yet?

What's the weather like?

I have a few questions..what do you think about the Dolphin hotel? Do you have a room with a view? Is the room colorful or neutral colors?

The weather is hot, but not as humid as I would have expected. In fact, I just checked Orlando weather: it's 87 degrees F; 67% humidity; 96 degree heat index.

Forecast for the next few days: HI's in the mid 90's/LOW's in the 70's. Slight (varying) chances for rain.

DOLPHIN: Had no real idea what to expect beforehand. It's nice - we'd probably stay here again. The colors are somewhat subdued, but not too boring: lots of blues, creams, mauves (I love the hall-way carpets!). We are on the East wing, 7th floor. Apparently every other room has a balcony, but ours doesn't. Our room looks out to another wing, but to the left is the boat dock (waterway to MGM, EPCCOT) and the walk-way to the Swan. Oh, and I'm looking at TOT and the top-tip of MICKEY's sorcerer hat as we speak, so I guess you could say I have a view of MGM . Finding our way around (mostly finding the restaurants) has been our biggest challenge. The pool area is nice. There is a lap pool in addition to the regular pool(s), and there is a sand beach. They have a nice looking work-out area.

SOARIN': We (DS & I) were here in May (and Mom & son trip). We rode SOARIN' then, but haven't been to EPCOT yet this trip. We loved it, but it was too short and we wanted it to go on and on! ADVICE: It's VERY popular. As soon as you arrive at EPCOT, run to get FASTPASSES! (and consider going early in the day to beat the rush)

HA! Easy one, philaround! You live in CT, we live in LA, and our plane only went as far north as Atlanta. Duh....!


....gee, I wish DH would get back from his meeting soon! While I love sitting here talking to y'all, I'm ready to head back out to the parks. There are still so many "DISNEY" hours left in this day!

I am taking my kids in 3 weeks for our first Dolphin stay! Anything else you can add about it?? We are booked for a club level room as I got a great SPG deal. I don't really know anything about except what I have read!

how long are you staying for? my parents just got back yesterday and they nabbed me a pair of gold mickey ears. if you're there still by thursday or friday would you be able to post if they still have some? my boyfriend wants a pair when we go there saturday(figures he wants them now since i asked him before my parents left if he wanted a pair and he said no. now he's seen mine and he wants a pair! lol)? thanks a bunch!

I'm jealous, too. And, I'm in Baton Rouge, so I could have come along!! Oh well, we leave in 42 days!! I don't know how you stand to wait on DH. I'd just leave him and meet up later- LOL! How long is his meeting? Hopefully you can get out there soon. And you should be able to stand that heat being from LA- no problem, right? I just hope that, by September, when we go, we will be "used" to the summer heat so it will ben o big deal. Where have ya'll eaten so far?

Plenty of gold everything (ears, antenna toppers). Lots of 50th merchandise: the usual like cups, pins, shirts, stuffed toys, picture frames, etc.

Magic Kingdom today. Again, not as crowded as I expected, but an unexpected thunderstorm hit around 1pm that shut things down for a little while. So when we went for our SPLASH Fastpass, there was a line with all the guests who missed their FP time due to the storm. At least it cooled things off.

Had a brief run through EPCOT before meeting DH for dinner in CANADA (FW was closing by then). Great meal!!
