We're All MAD here! SPAZZ hands, cupcakes, booze, and running...GSC Feb. 2015 PTR

I love Wolfgang Puck. I really do. Raglan gets good reviews too though.

Yes, you should ride Mine Ride. Once. It really is not worth the hype. If you do it on your trip with Savannah- you may not want to waste a FP on it at PHM. But honestly, I am game for whatever!!!

If we hit HS in our 4 parks adventure day on Friday.... then let's go back to Magic Kingdom or Epcot on Saturday!! (or both!) I could care less about most of HS.

DOH! I was totally thinking that PHM trip was before my trip with Savannah. You are right, I may not want to waste a FP on it! I have FAR too many favorites at MK. Big Thunder is a MUSTMUSTMUST for me at some point over the weekend and Haunted Mansion & Peter Pan.

Yep, I think on Saturday we should maybe head to MK again and then Epcot? Sporting our 10K medals, naturally! ;) Maybe another EE expedition. LOL...wait...I think we might DIE during the half if we do 4 parks every day leading up to it. :lmao: We'll see how our feet feel. (oh and we have to be back at Epcot in the evening for dinner at Via so maybe a mid-day break? I have no clue.) I took nearly the whole afternoon off this year and just sat/chatted at the pool and then ate a big dinner before going to bed at 8pm. I have to go to sleep early b/c I'll be up by 2am ready to go! :rolleyes1

I am beginning to think you girls are spying on Debra and myself...because we are on the same wave length as you!

I'm really so excited for a girl's weekend!! I haven't had one in YEARS. So what are you thinking about the cupcake crawl timing? Are you thinking we will meet at Poly or around the monorail resort area to start? I'm trying to get an idea so we can work our planning around it, I don't think Nicole or I are willing to miss cupcakes and booze! ;)

We are def. not missing cupcakes and booze. ;)

Via Napoli on Saturday night it looks like for us. And you Tammie & Debra.. so maybe we can just plan to get ADRS around the same time?

I am going to open it up to all the cupcakes and see who wants to join us and call and make a huge reservation...if you want.

Karen, Boma or Saana sounds just fine for me after the 1/2 on Sunday for 'brunch'.

Since we dont want to have to worry about getting to Boma before they close we decided on Saana...it also helps that we both want to eat there and know that we would never get our husbands there...humus and naan bread...protien and carbs!

Maybe we meet around 12:30/1 at Poly? Do Poly, Cotemp (is that the way the monorail goes?), MK (so Karen and I can run in with a picture of our medal in front of the castle), Grand Floridian.. back to Transport Center to head to EPCOT? EPCOT for evening.. till we head to Jellyrolls? I'd say we should arrive Jellyrolls no later than 8 ish or we won't get a table likely.

We were planning on slipping into MK for pictures too! :lmao:

Oh yes, I can see plans taking shape now! I know I'm sick, but when it's all ticked off in my head in a list, it makes more sense. Shower, lunchy at Sanaa or Boma, MK for our medal pics, bit of a cupcake crawl on the monorail and then ride it to Epcot! Jellyrolls at 8! :thumbsup2

Yay Tweedle, we just have to do that with the rest of our days. :woohoo: Do you remember any of the other places we were going to eat? This is why I write things down. I forget. :rolleyes2

I don't think we really picked other places.

Anything that's a must do for you? I'm open.

Let's see... Thursday- arrive, Expo, DTD (dinner at DTD?)
Friday- PARK HOP THE BIGGIES?
Sat- 10K Tweedle awesomeness. ?? . VIA NAPOLI dinner
Sun- PHM 1/2. Sanaa. EPCOT. Cupcake Crawl. Jellyrolls.
Monday- Breakfast somewhere/airport.

We could do Wolfgang Puck CS Thursday night if we want? Oh but if we do the DDP we would have 4 TS meals and still have 2 to fill. Raglan Road? Have you ever been there? I know they have a BAR, that's what matters. ;)

Friday we could rope drop EE and then we could do some FP+ at MK...oh that reminds me, I want to ride the mine train. You guys rode it right, was it fun? No clue what/where to eat Friday night. Edited to add: Ok, just read your PM and we totally have to do the TweedlesFourParksOneDayAdventure! ;)

Saturday we could hit DHS after the 10K if we want? Meh...I'm feeling so lackluster about DHS lately. :confused3 We have to pick a park to at least make some FP's at...

I love Wolfgang Puck. I really do. Raglan gets good reviews too though.

We are looking at Raglan Road on Thursday night!

What do you think is a reasonable time to start crawling...provided that we eat, sneak into MK for pictures???

Well that's because Karen and I are Tweedle mind readers. Nothing is safe with the Tweedles. We know all.

Ha. Kidding. We must just be kindred folk. Same thoughts & ideas. It just means we're all really, really cool! :smokin:

Not to imply smoking weed is cool. Because it's not. Nor do I smoke at all. Weed or otherwise. But the icon was there. And so I used it. Instead of a dancing banana.

And now this is just random.

MOVING ON.

No idea on the time. Maybe 2pm? Maybe we just all become FB friends and post things like "I'm about to leave here.. anyone close to this resort.?!?!" :)

Or we could do a private FB group and call it 'cupcakes'... and post there so the whole world need not know our exact whereabouts every second of that weekend? We did that with a group of gals on the cruise & it worked out wonderfully. Just thoughts...........

Dancing bananas are totally cool though...I was once on a board here on the DIS that wouldn't allow the dancing banana. Naturally I wanted to use it all the time then...tell me I can't!

Doing a FB group for the Cupcakes is actually a FANTASTIC idea...although I'm not sure how you would keep a million people from joining just to have someone to chitchat about the race with (who might not even intend on meeting up) It might also allow for more talking there and less clutter on your Cupcake PTR, Tammie. :thumbsup2

My daughter is actually AT a cupcake store right now hanging out. I resisted the urge to go in when I dropped her off b/c I CAN NOT eat any cupcakes until PHM. Seriously. I have to lose the weight I gained training for the PHM last year. It's slowin' me down in all aspects and crampin my style. :sad2:

what were we talking about?!?! I swear, I'm off track before you can blink. :hyper:

Well, the one we set up for the cruise (the small one of just the girls who wanted to lose weight) was set to secret. Really, they only got in the FB group by the admin person adding them in. So it would be whoever showed interest in the cupcake thread stuff that would request to be added. Not just random people. If that makes sense. In theory, our cupcake group, as it stands, would be about what... 15-20 people?

It's just an idea we could throw around closer to the date if we want. To easily check in where things are happening that weekend.....

Or not. Whatev. :)

Well...I am hoping that soon you will meet my side kick...it looks like she is almost in for this trip! She is not my tweedle but my "evil stepsister"...LOL...you ladies remind me so much of her! Thinking we will have to rename our duo to a trio, since Debra fits in with us so perfectly...now which characters could we be?!

Ha. Kidding. We must just be kindred folk. Same thoughts & ideas. It just means we're all really, really cool! :smokin:

I like this idea...now to figure out how to set up a group. I don't mind the clutter so much on the PTR, but it would be nice to talk that way too!

Way to resist temptation...I have lost 20 pounds since January 1st...but today I blew it big time...took my boys to the movies and of course got a free popcorn coupon...and of course I loaded it with butter...then the boys wanted pizza for dinner since sister was on a date and dad took off for a long boys weekend at our cabin...so of course who ate it too!:(

off to facebook to figure this thing out...

I decided to do a weekly update here, to keep myself accountable for my running and just everything going on...and then never started doing it and something like 3 weeks has passed. WTG Karen! :thumbsup2

I guess this will be a big update!

A few weeks ago Savannah cut all her hair off! She has wanted to for a while and finally bit the bullet. It has to be straightened after she showers but it's so much shorter, it's easy to blow dry and straighten. She LOVES it and it really suits her personality. I told her she looks less like a homeschooler now. :lmao:

We've been to the pool, which officially made it feel like summer for us and today we're headed to Six Flags. My typical pool photo for the year:
20140617_121532.jpg

I am usually a sun worshiper(I do have a serious Vitamin D deficiency), but uh...sun isn't as kind to you when you get older, so I'm not spending as much time outside. I'm also pretty busy with work, so don't really have the time. Today is the first day I have off and technically I have to go do a petsit before we head to St. Louis/Six Flags for the day.

I did get a night out with my girlfriends last week! We have not gone out, all four of us, in TWO YEARS. We went to the winery right down the road from my house, which was good because I drank a whole bottle of wine and Rey had to come get me. It was an ok time, I think I might have drank so much to drown out the Jimmy Buffet music and the fact that we were the youngest people there. :confused3

Rey is home again and possibly for a while. His back (ruptured discs at work 2 years ago) is giving him trouble again and we're dealing with all sorts of work-related-red-tape trying to get him to a doctor. His last Dr. moved and it seems no one wants to deal with his work/workers comp. insurance being out of state. Frustrating but I'm trying not to let it upset me, I can only do what I can do.

Savannah & I have been rainbow chasers lately. We saw quite a few (I swear I have never seen so many rainbows in my life since we moved out to the country??) and chased them around the other day. No real good photos because I was driving, but I love these little things that I do with my girl. :lovestruc

AND...(told ya it would be long) yesterday we meticulously planned our attack for getting presale tickets to see Ed Sheeran (her ginger idol if you aren't keeping up) and scored 14th row for the KS show in September! I actually had to buy another set of tickets and then keep trying to find these, but it was totally worth it. I know people that will use the other set. Ed's album came out the day before and Savannah made a cake to commemorate in the middle of the night. Yep, we're all MAD around here. We just made a day of it and called it Multiply-Day (name of the album). Crazy fan girls of the world unite! ;)

There is something else (a surprise) in the working going on here as well, but I can't post about it on the DIS or anywhere else for that matter. I'm HORRIBLE at surprises, and I'm determined to pull this one off and think I can this time! Think good-surprise-keeping-thoughts for me. ;)

Elsa is a little demonkitty when she's awake lately, teething and attacking anything that moves. To be expected, but you would never know in the photos I get of her peacefully sleeping. Good thing she sleeps a lot!

20140617_120131.jpg

I realize that my photo quality is really lacking compared to my photos of the past, but I just don't care anymore! For so long I was hung up on getting the perfect shot and I just want to capture the moment without lugging around my camera all the time...so phone pics are the norm around here now. Last year I took my camera to Six Flags but I think today I will leave it at home and just ENJOY the day. I'm oh-so-serious in this post! I need some Tweedlehumor, I think. I guess I could have kept my typo above when I typed Sex Flags instead of Six Flags. :p

Last, but not least, my running. I've been going through the motions, I am running three times a week, usually 3-4 miles, averaging somewhere around 10-15 miles a week. Sunday I did 5 on the treadmill, but I feel a little in limbo since I don't have a race to actually train for until fall. I'm struggling with my eating and that always seems to correlate to my running (extra weight makes running harder). I think it's harder on my body, I've been having some hip soreness. At this point though, I feel like I will always have something hurting when I run. It's frustrating but I think I'm just getting used to it.

BUT, I ran my fastest 3 miles since last spring, 10:15 average, the other day. It might have been a bit faster, my Nike app wasn't keeping track my first mile but my 2nd and 3rd were 10 minute miles! It was nice to know I could still speed it up a bit, I've been so focused on distance that I usually run much slower. I cannot run like that too often though, whenever I do too much speed work I get injured. *sigh*

So THAT is what's going on in my world for the most part. There's more but geez, if I went on about every little detail we would be here all day...and I have a date with a rollercoaster and a lazy river! :thumbsup2

Hope you had fun a fun day at Six Flags....I was recently reading a post some place about a rant..."Well this would not happen at Disney..." I seriously wanted to jump on and tell them...rude people happen everywhere and Six Flags is not trying to be Disney...so quit comparing apples and oranges. Get a life people...I love Disney, but sheesh...give me a real thrill ride sometimes at Six Flags. I bite my lip and moved on...one does not need drama.

Love Savannah's new haircut, very :thumbsup2! And enough to donate! WIN WIN

Hope Rey can find a doctor...what a pain when you are in pain!

Is this the outing that caused the "POST"...LOL. I am still waiting for that picture to reappear! LOL...glad you could get together with the girls and have a good time and lots of good wine apparently!

Surprises...oh I am no good at them either!

Haha, yes! The drunken FB picture/post. It was just one of those things, I wanted to post a pic but didn't want to share it to my whole FB page and thought of the cupakes...then after posting it I thought maybe it was too much to post a drunken photo on our group, I haven't even met any of you yet! :lmao: AND...when I looked closer, it wasn't a really flattering shot. :p

I avoided Six Flags for YEARS, I went a lot growing up in STL, but my kids really never went. We decided (my friend Hope & I ) to bite the bullet last year and go. It is SO SO SO much cheaper than Disney, and closer, obviously. There were definitely comparisons being made in my head, but I didn't really expect it to be like Disney. We had such a good time that we decided to get season passes for this summer. Cheaper than 2 days at Disney and no travel costs. I mean, if I lived near Disney I would surely get an annual pass, but I don't, and I can't spend all summer pining away for WDW when I could enjoy other places too, right? We'll have fun...but we will leave and get subway for lunch. Last year we bought pizza (not very good) and it was literally TWICE the price of Disney food and awful.

I hope you had a great time at Sex Flags!!! I'm sure there would be interesting "rides" at that park. :lmao: Ok, sorry....I couldn't help myself. Yes, Savannah's hair looks amazing!! She's growing up so fast. Victoria really wants to send her a message on fb (they are already friends there) but she's still shy about it. Congrats on the Ed Sheeran tickets! Victoria was looking at the show in Boston, but the date is September 9th and we will be in Disney on that day. Too bad. Besides, she's already going to One Direction in August and Little Mix in September. She really needs a job to start helping with all her wants! Elsa is a demonkitty, huh? Typical kitten! She's so adorable, though!!!

Ok seriously, Dis doesn't bleep out the word sex, but does W T F? (if I don't space it?). That's just wrong all around!!!

W T F?

I giggled at your 'less of a homeschooler comment'. I will make my own inferences for fear of offending someone else.. but if it relates to long haired, wavy children with hair in braids & denim dresses (um Duggar style).. it made me giggle. If not, pretend you didn't read this. Although I have to say I would have never looked at Savannah's long haired before and thought- holy cow- they are on the Duggar band-wagon. (Which also btw I am obsessed with because it's so..Effin... weird- those Duggars- it's like a train wreck and I have to watch creepy JimBob and his feathered hair wife with her fake smile try to repopulate the world).

Okay that was tangent.

I personally love Six Flags. We have one up here & we try to go yearly! Have a great, great day!

You seriously get the best kitten pictures. I LOVE that one with the hands up almost as much as the kitten in the milk bowl picture.

Yhea on the Ed tixs! So fun!

Fingers crossed that Rey gets the doctor help he needs without too much fuss. But also glad he's home with your for a bit.

And yhea. Um, that's all. I will go back to my dull existence staring at the computer and dreaming of my next vacation while crunching spreadsheet numbers.

TweedlePower.

P.S- I think we need to plan some sort of meet up before PHM. Maybe in the fall if I can get a weekend where my husband is off and can watch the children.. I can drive down. And park myself at the winery near your house..and you can come visit me there! :)

It was an ok time yesterday, I would probably not call it sex flags after yesterday...maybe Stick flags. Because they STICK it to you. :rolleyes1 I was mostly disgusted with the prices of things, drinks being one of them. Seriously DOUBLE what Disney charges. If you are going to double the price of everything, shouldn't it be BETTER in quality? Well, it's not. :headache: The girls had a blast though and I did get some time on the lazy river in the sun. I might even tell you about how I popped my top off and lost my debit card in the lazy river if you ask nice. ;)

Ok seriously, Dis doesn't bleep out the word sex, but does W T F? (if I don't space it?). That's just wrong all around!!!

:lmao: The DIS makes no sense with their censoring.

A Duggar tangent! :rotfl: Uh yeah, we aren't those kinds of homeschoolers. ;) The are weird. We watch the show and talk about how bizarre they are. I know, I'm judgmental...but then don't have freaking 19 kids and go on TV if you don't want me to judge you. :happytv:

I personally love Six Flags. We have one up here & we try to go yearly! Have a great, great day!

I tried. I really did. It was hot, it was dirty, and it was freaking crazy expensive. I lost my top briefly AND my debit card (at the same time no less) but had fun lazing around the lazy river, so I can't really complain. Oh wait, yes I can. :rolleyes1

$8.66 for two small sodas. No kidding you. 8$ for a tube rental. Lines and lines and lines (not for the rides, luckily, but for anything else you needed).

dull existence?!! I've upped my outings this summer to try to keep up with your pasta-making-cruise-Brownies-leading-5K-planning self! ;)

TweedlePower.

Power to the Tweedle. Wordup.

But...what if you don't like me??? Then you'll be stuck planning a trip with me in February and dreading it. :lmao:

Oh, you should come for the Gumball festival, I think that's in the fall. No kidding...my town, years ago, planted a bunch of Gumball trees all over the place. Really smart, right? Have you ever stepped on a gumball? So, after nixing the plan to CUT ALL THE TREES DOWN and replant something different. (yep, they considered this)...they decided to have a Gumball festival to embrace the nasty little things. I think they have a Queen and everything. :lmao: They have a gumball contest where kids make things out of the gumballs. Uh yea, I stay home. It's enough that I have to rake all those fockers up twice a year out of my yard and out of my gutters, I'm not going to a festival for them. :confused3

It's a town of 4000, what can I say. The festivals/parades really consist of driving down the main street on tractors and cars, throwing candy. It's not even good candy. At least there are a couple wineries. The wine takes the edge off.

I would seriously love for you to come, I wonder if you could come during one of the races I'm doing? We could dress up and run! and then drink...and eat cupcakes. ;) There's a Mustache Dash I'm doing in September(13) and the Bonehead (kind of Halloween theme) in October(25). You have a special Tweedle spot on my very uncomfortable couch. The cats will keep you warm though and the dogs as well. If they aren't laying all over you, their FUR will keep you warm when you are covered in it. ;)

I've been known to do the same thing on my facebook. At least we eventually remove the bad evidence ;)

Dear Karen:

Would you pretty please with sugar on top tell me about how you popped your top off and lost your debit card in the lazy river as I'm asking very nicely. :goodvibes

Dear Karen:

Well, since you asked so nicely! ;)

So we had tubes. Did I mention they were $8 tubes? I'm pretty sure I did. $8 to rent a tube for a few hours. Seriously. But I digress...

So I have this supercute new swimsuit, it's all 50s pinup style. One piece with a tie around the neck. Well, I love the suit, but the ties leave tan marks I don't like, so I just pull it over my neck when I'm in the sun. Then it just looks strapless.

Anywho...

I had been sitting IN the tube for a bit and decided I wanted to get on my stomach and get my backside a little tan. The lazy river isn't deep, but the tubes are really big and you kind of have to jump/launch yourself onto them and hope you don't bounce off and look like a fool. I clearly have this look-like-a-fool thing down to a science.

Since I had done it earlier, I thought no problem...Jumped, threw myself up on the tube, stomach first, and immediately realized that earlier my ties had been TIED and holding my suit up... My suit flopped right down and off my chest, luckily I only flashed the bottom of the lazy river b/c I was facing straight down into the hole part of the tube! :rolleyes1

Unfortunately, Hope, my BFF, had convinced me not to walk back to my bag when I purchased said tube (for EIGHT FREAKING DOLLARS) and put my debit card in my suit/chest b/c that's what SHE DOES all the time. Well, she's a bit more well endowed than me, I should have known this was a disaster from the start. :lmao:

So, immediately when the suit popped down I grabbed for the card but it was gone FAST! So I'm standing in the lazy river while a million people are floating by... looking DOWN MY SUIT, trying to figure out if it was still there, then all over the bottom of the river. :thumbsup2 Nowhere to be seen. We started moving along the river looking but at this point we were pretty far from where it happened and a lifeguard told us it probably was in a filter already. Then Hope yelped that she had found it and had her foot on it. I'm sure we were a sight to see running around in the lazy river trying to get that card! :rotfl2:

Good times.

So lesson to you all. If you take your straps off, do not belly flop onto a tube on a lazy river with your debit card stashed in your rack. :rotfl:

But...what if you don't like me??? Then you'll be stuck planning a trip with me in February and dreading it. :lmao:

I already know I will heart you. We are too much alike. Plus if we don't like each other we just drink more alcohol. And we'll forget we don't like each other. It'll be fine!

:confused3

Um. W T F is a Gumball tree? I didn't even these things existed?

I mean clearly a Gumball is not like.. a Gum. Ball. Do I sound really stupid not having any clue what a Gumball tree is? I do, don't I?

Hold it- going to look it up..........

Ok. Those are def. not gum. balls. Why would they name something so evil looking so sweet?

If they aren't laying all over you, their FUR will keep you warm when you are covered in it. ;)

I will look at those dates and see if I can't make something work. :) I live in a house with 3 dogs and a cat. I have serious panic attacks when people show up at my house in black... my first words are "Don't you know I have a lot of animals?". Yhea, I'm used to fur. A lot of it.

Anywho...

I mean, this really comes as no shocker . You flashing six flags. I do believe I called you 'loose' in a tread last week?

And thanks for the lesson. I never take straps of anyways because if I ever took a strap off, my entire suit would fall to my ankles immediately. No flopping on overpriced intertubes would be necessary. I also would never shove a debit card in my top area...because that also would immediately fall through to the ground. This is the life us A cuppers live!
