We're ALL Mad Here - March (Hare) Exercise Challenge

Welcome @verleniahall and congratulations to Swilcox on reaching 10% of goal and Alice Blue!

The Nine Old Men were Disney's core animators, some of whom later became directors, who created some of Disney's most famous animated cartoons, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs up to The Rescuers. They were referred to as such by Walt Disney himself. While alll members of the group are now deceased—the first being John Lounsbery, who died in 1976 from heart failure and the last being Ollie Johnston, who died in 2008 from natural causes—they all have been acknowledged as Disney Legends. All of the Nine Old Men worked on Alice in Wonderland, with Marc Davis being responsible for Alice, Frank Thomas for the Queen of Hearts, Ward Kimball for the White Rabbit, Tweedledum and Tweedlee, the March Hare and the Mad Hatter, and John Lounsbery for the Cheshire Cat.

Minutes: 1480/2500
Percentage: 59.2%

30 minutes walking at work breaks and 50 minutes with my trainer.

Hubs and I are heading to Disneyland tonight in search of new pins - so I'll update my total (again) when I figure out how many active minutes we spend trying to hunt them down. (No rides tonight!)

I just completed my first day of blogilates.com monthly challenges. I'm doing arms, thighs, butt, abs, and waist trainer challenges. I'm doing 3 sets of the suggested reps. 20min total.

Last night after DD went to bed I did 30 extra min with my 10k trainer app. I thought I posted it but it is not showing up.

Congratulations to Swilcox for reaching 25% of goal and March Hare Orange! Congratulations to SarahDisney for reaching 75% of goal and Dormouse Purple!

The sleepiness of the Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland was not a made-up characteristic - dormice hibernate at least 6 months out of the year, sometimes longer if it is an especially long and cold winter. The name dormouse comes from the word "dormeus," which literally translates to "sleepy one." Even when they aren't hibernating, they always seem to be sleeping, but in fairness, that's also because they're nocturnal. Dormice were favorite pets of the Victorians - Beatrix Potter, for example, kept a dormouse.

Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days. The time change threw off all my routines! But I'm back on track now:

3/17 - 25 minutes - a short walk outside and joining in with the preschoolers at music time

3/18 - 25 minutes - a sample yoga routine on TV and another walk outside

for a new total of 349/600.

This week has been a lazy one in terms of exercise. I have a certification exam March 31 and I am majorly stressed out about it.
But Friday I walked from work instead of taking the bus because it was a lovely day- 40 min. And today I walked to and from work for a total of 80 min.
Going to try to make more of an effort to exercise this coming week. Even for 15-20 min a day.

It's getting late here in Chicago, so here's a picture of the Alice in Wonderland Tsum Tsums in lieu of trivia tonight. It is possible I have five of these. Feel free to guess which ones :)
