I did see some long lines at MK for off site guests needing kiosks, but at the same time I saw other kiosks always empty! So if you need a kiosk, find the less popular ones. The one in the tunnel connecting adventureland and frontier land seemed to always have empty kiosks or a short line while the ones in tomorrow land and fantasy land had long long lines.
But, I love FP+. My youngest is 3 and it is so great not dragging him to a ride he can't go on yet just to get the paper fastpass. I often take them to the park with just me because we can do day trips. We can just plan to ride things for when we want and when we get to peter pan, we get to ride it! We always try to do rope drop and plan our FP for later in the day.
Yesterday was pretty busy at the MK and we managed to get more than we planned done, older DS rode SM twice and younger DS rode almost everything he wanted to. We skipped pirates because the wait was over 30 minutes while other things he loves could be done with little to no wait. We used a FP for the Electrical Parade too, and then just kept our spot for wishes. We showed up at 8:30 for the parade and it worked great!
