Went to my first Party Lite party

Everything I wanted was $60 up without any candles. If you need 2....forget 'bout it. Are these candles really worth the money? Does the smell last long? I like the Antique Pearls scent so I ordered some votives to test them out.

Anyone else?

I loved the holders to but they are really expensive.

I personally think the quality is excellent. Their candles burn down completely to the plastic clip so you don't waste any. The scents are very fragrant too.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I went to a party almost 1 year ago, and the candles are still sitting in a box in my closet. $120 later I have things that are taking up space.

Nice candles, but I think they are way over priced. I have been to a few parties, got suckered into giving a party...and will never go to another.

I apparently have the word "Sucka" tattooed on my forhead. I get invited to all sorts of these parties: Stampin' Up, Party Lite, Pampered Chef, Making Memories. Although I should really keep my mouth shut because no one has had a party in a while and I don't want to jinx myself.

Yep me too. Their holders are very pricey but are so worth it. I know brass is not as popular right now but my friend has some of the brass stuff & it is over 10 years old & still looks fab. I have found their candles fade big time. I saw a silver-stainless 3 wick holder in the new catalog I don't remember the price but it looked cool.

Party Lite - I can find something similiar for 1/3 - 1/2 the price

Mary Kay - numerous times and my closet is bulging

Tupperware - Heaven forbids ......

Home Interior - hosted 1 to many times and gone to too many and I eventually gave away most of it.

I went to one about 7 years ago at my neighbor's. I felt a little obligated to buy something. I bought a $16.00 candle (it looked nice) that sat in my cabinet for a few years...then ended up in my garage sale for fifty cents.

These parties I love...went to another last week...actually one of the room moms at my school had one for the teachers at my school during our lunch break...yum!!

You've got to try the Bountiful Beer Bread & the Spinach & Herb Mix.
They are the absolute best!!

I used to be a Partylite rep. I remember going to meetings and listening to the other reps and Unit Leaders just *gush* at how wonderful PL's products are, and I couldn't help but think, "Uh, what's the big deal?!?!?"

The candles are some of the best--Colonial Candle of Cape Cod has been around a long time-- but the holders, well. . I couldn't help but notice that I could get similar stuff at Target for a fraction of the price. And I felt guilty trying to sell those items to folks that I *know* don't have much money! Needless to say, I didn't make it as a Partylite rep. . <ggg>

Although I do wish I had kept it up. . the discounts on the candles was nice!

I just got home from a Tastefully Simple party. I do have to say these are one of my favorite at home parties, and probably the only one I would even consider going to anymore. Daisyduck is right...the beer bread is awesome. I also like the Bacon Bacon spice. I just bought the Onion Onion, some Potato and Cheese soup, and a Pepper Cheese dip. Yumm. At least you can go to this party and only spend $5.00(beer bread) and go home if you feel you must buy something!

I for one, don't care for the Partylite stuff. Too expensive for my taste. I like candles and such but not that much. I also don't think the candles hold their smell as much as I think they should. I personnally prefer Yankee Candles or Home and Garden candles(another at home party around here).
