Went to Michaels today

I didn't have much time to browse, but all their holiday things were 70% off. I got 2 packages of Christmas rub-ons for 29 cents each and a package of adhesive-backed ribbon for 89 cents that has three lengths of ribbon in it, one grosgrain red, a satin red and a satin white with snowmen printed on it. I wish I had more time, they were still putting a lot out.

I really wanted to get there this afternoon! DDIL's birthday was yesterday & we'll see them tomorrow. I was hoping to get another Sizzix die to go with her new "toy".

Hopefully I'll get there tomorrow, but by then it will be a new sale.

I had to take DD (13) to the ER to get her hand X-rayed & DH took the car as soon as we got back. The silly girl broke her finger in gym class yesterday & didn't tell anyone! She waited to tell us until bedtime so we waited until morning.

Sorry to hear about your daughter, it must be going around, lol. Both of my DS's age 12 have had broken fingers this past month. The 1st had it happen in basketball, we thought it was just jammed at first. Then 2 days before Christmas they were fooling around in the den and the other one complained that his finger really hurt, it didn't look that bad, but then we realized it was swollen and red longer than it should have been, and sure enough it was broken too. I've had my share of ER's and Dr's offices for a while.

I feel for you! I can't believe I thought I'd have more of this with a DS than a DD! I've had to run her to the ER much more than I ever did with him...even though he's been taking TKD since he was 11!

Back on topic....I was just looking through the ads for the Sunday paper & couldn't find a Michael's ad at all this week - starting Sunday the 9th. Has anyone else found one?

There is no sale at Michaels for this week. Next week has a color ad with a 50% off coupon for Sunday and Monday only, then a 40% off for the rest of the week.
FYI Some Michaels stores have just got in brass Disney stencils, $2.99 each.
Not all stores have them, so call first.

Thanks! I checked before I ran out & saw there was no ad for this week. How did you find out about next week's? There are a couple of things I got today I could have waited for! Rats!

I saw the Disney stencils & wondered how I'd missed them earlier! They're awfully cute! I got 2 of the minis - Fab 5 & Pooh. I skipped the Princesses because I'd just gotten a set of 9 mini Princess stamps over at AC Moore. That's a cute set btw. It has Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella, castle, crown, slipper, mirror, star/pixie dust & the pumpkin coach.

I have been looking for Disney stencils. Hope they have some at the store when I finally make the trip. Are they located with the scrapbooking supplies?

At my Michaels the Disney stencils were on an end cap in the scrapping section. There were some new(?) stencils on the end of another row also, but those weren't Disney.

They had both mini & larger ones with only one character for the $2.99....the entire brass plate was maybe 3.5" or 4" square. They had Tink sitting, flying & standing, Tigger, Mickey and a few others. I was looking at the minis so I'm not sure what else they had. I just checked & the brand is "All Night Media" on the back. On the front it says "Plaid".

I just found out the 50% off coupon is for the Chicagoland area only. The other markets will be 40% off. I hope I haven't dissappointed anyone!
Also there will be a fantastic custom framing sale. To save the most, you will need to frame 3 items- 70% off!

Bummer about the 50% I thought it would be because of Monday's holiday. Probably have to wait for President's Day for our next 50% off!!!

The President's Day one is always a great time. My birthday is right around then and my birthday money goes for something fun!!

Our son-in-law is a Michaels manager and he lets me know when all the new Disney stuff comes in! Yesterday he used our 50% off coupon for the create a bag for me. Guess this is getting serious now!
