Went to Disney. Rode Nothing. Saw Nothing. Had a Great Time.

We live within an somewhat easy driving distance, so sometimes the kids and I just go for a weekend to get our Disney fix without having to shell out a ton for tickets. We watch the Fireworks, tour DTD, hang out at the resort pool (they love the games and trivia), rent bikes at the boardwalk, sometimes we do a special dinner at a resort hotel or do the sing-along at the campgrounds. It's relatively inexpensive and we leave with the Magic we needed!

First of all, I'm sorry your husband got sick. It's always worse to be sick when you're away from home. But I admit I smiled pretty HUGELY when I read that you stayed close to him, and found some quiet little magic in and around the GF. That's a good on you, sister! <side note> Embarrassingly enough, I literally get sick to my stomach once on EVERY Disney trip we've ever taken. That's 11 trips w/o fail. I think I just have a weird stomach for so much different food, because it's never from the same restaurant twice (Rose & Crown, Wolfgang Puck, Pecos Bills). My kids are always like "Mom, seriously?" I am always fine afterwards. Still, if there is one poorly washed piece of lettuce in all the World, be assured, I will find it, eat it, and move on.
