Went on Little Mermaid today - not a bad line at all!

I just got back from a half-day trip to "The Land". I went up primarily to see the new Little Mermaid ride and was *hoping* to nab a FP for Star Tours but they were already out of FP's this morning at 9:15 AM. Thank goodness for Mousewaits for saving me a walk over there!

Interestingly, the Toy Story lot where I usually park was closed today, or at least was closed at 9:45 when I was about to park. That was unusual since it's usually open for park opening, which was at 8 today.

I went straight to DCA and got on Little Mermaid with a 15 minute wait (even though it was posted as 20) at 10:10 AM. When I exited, the line was still 20 minutes and it actually stayed at 20 minutes until I left at 12:00 for DL, so it looks like the lines aren't too bad for this one at all. LM is my favorite Disney movie and played a huge part in my childhood, so I was really glad to see the ride. The first 3/4 of the ride were awesome and I was smiling the whole time! I even caught myself tearing up in the Under the Sea room because it was just so well done! Then, WHAM, over. Just as everyone else has said so far about the ride, it looks like they just ran out of money and/or time and finished the ride without finishing the story. I had seen the YouTube video and it didn't bug me then as much as it does now. I would have gladly given up the ending wedding scene for the big Ursula fight or SOMETHING that tied up the story. Oh well...still a cute ride, but a little disappointing in the end.

TSMM on the other hand was still crazy! I was hoping that with LM open, some people would ride that first instead of TSMM but it didn't look like it! Right after LM I walked to TSMM and at 10:30 the line was already 55 minutes!!! Maybe since LM is open at 9:30 (or at least that's what I've read here) people are going on that then lining up for rope drop at TSMM? Who knows, but the line is still very long, so as I have said on here before, it's probably not worth rushing to first thing since it looks like the line is just going to be long regardless.

I hope you found out the TS lot was closed before you drove up to it. That is where they queue up the buses for Grad Nights. So I think they reserve the lot for that.

Ahh makes sense! Unfortunately I did drive up to it before I found out it was closed but it wasn't that much of a hassle to get to M&F.

Glad to hear Mermaid lines are tolerable, but FP for star wars were gone by 9am?!?! So, did DL open at 7 and all the FP were gone in 2 hours?! That's CRAZY!

WORSE! DL opened at 8:00***!!!! I was checking Mousewaits on the way up to Anaheim on my phone and at 8:45, the FP return time was 2:00 PM. By 9:15, Mousewaits started saying "FP not available". The standby line when I pulled into Mickey & Friends at 9:40 was 60 minutes. I wasn't about to wait that when I can go back in the off-season, so I didn't check it throughout the day.

***I should clarify that b/c of Grad Nights, today WAS a Magic Morning day with DL opening at 7:00, but you can't get FP's until the official park opening at 8:00, so the crazily short amount of time it took to distribute all the passes still stands true :)

yah I saw the Little Mermaid on you tube and thought the video skipped a part of the ride,i was like...wait...Ursula...Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl....then ...done? So it's as bad as I thought then?

Unfortunately yeah. I thought I was just hyper-critical as a Little Mermaid superfan, but even the mom in the shell in front of me was saying to her kids and husband as we exited "Wow, they kind of just skipped that whole part didn't they? Hmm. Ready for the roller coaster?" ;)
