The "bonus" 70 points that is really from UY 2015 that we get- when do they expire? I know usually they expire at the end of Nov but since this is a little different, do they last longer?

When you buy direct they can be quite lenient on when you can bank the points. Ask your guide or member services. After the first year or so you will go on the normal schedule. But ask. Don't risk losing them.

If one buys direct and the UY purchased is past the banking deadline they will allow the points to be banked that first year. As you say, after that, you must follow the banking schedule.

It's actually written into the POS now that you can bank up until the last day of the UY.

I agree with everybody's advice, take your time and continue to do your research. Thoroughly explore all options because there are lots of variables and ways you can go about purchasing DVC. You aren't losing any deals or incentives by waiting to make your purchase, and even though the price will go up slightly for Poly next month you will save way more by waiting and exploring options if you ultimately decide to buy at a different resort. I would definitely put a lot of consideration into buying resale if you aren't sure Poly is the resort you really want
