Am I the only one who hates the NEW WENDY? The red head who is so obnoxious? I am pretty sure the real Wendy who had been doing the commercials before was dummped because she was heavy and not a good look for a fast food place who is trying to lull the public into a sense of fast food is good food but honestly this new girl makes my skin crawl.

The old Wendy is THE Wendy so I doubt she got fired. And for what its worth I like the new Wendy.

I like the new Wendy a lot. But for he record, I also like the "real" Wendy. I doubt she was replaced due to weight. I think they just decided that they wanted Wendy to be a character and not someone real.

I didn't know she was supposed to BE Wendy, I just thought she was an annoying redhead who's in all the Wendy's commercials.

I think they must have heard an earful about her in the beginning, because they have really dialed it back. In the first 2 or 3 commercials, she was obnoxious. Her tone was beyond annoying.

I've noticed in more recent commercials, she is much more tolerable, so either someone had a talk with the actress or the directors/writers of the commercials.

The Wendy girl is tops my DS and his friends "I'd wife her" list and Allyson Hannigan is next! Yes, they know AH is nearing 40, lol. Too funny. I don't mind the Wendy girl...and obviously she is doing what they want~ grabbing attention!

She's not Wendy. The actual Wendy (founder Dave Thomas's daughter) is still alive. And her real name isn't even Wendy.

The woman in the commercial is just supposed to be someone who talks up Wendy's and sort of reminds people of what a modern "Wendy" would look like. Her name is Morgan Smith Goodwin, and this is what she looks like when she's not doing Wendy's commercials:

Her real name is Melinda and she couldn't pronounce it when she was young and called herself Wenda. Her dad just changed the a to a y when he named the store.

I do like the old "real" Wendy better. I always thought Dave T. seemed very likeable and down to earth in the old commercials, too bad he's gone now. Guess I must just like tradition.

I'm almost to the point of turning the channel when that "going in! haha" commercial comes on. DS likes to tease me with that line often. Annoying as all get out but I blame the producer/editor/whatever of that commercial for that annoyance.

Ugh.. Flo. Can't stand her commercials. I'm not a fan of the new Wendy's Girl, either. She seems like a know-it-all and not at all sweet. I LOVED Dave Thomas. I really liked how he did his commercials and felt that he was welcoming. I liked how his daughter did her commercials, too. I liked her talking about her dad. This new girl just does very little for me.

I like the new Wendy & I love her hair. Now Flo for Progressive.....she's becoming beyond annoying & I think they need to switch it up.

The red hair is definitely for everyone to associate with the Wendy's icon, but they have never said or implied that this girl was supposed to be Wendy. Just one of those opportunities to supply mental clues and reinforce their logo.

I'm usually pretty tolerant of commercials no matter how annoying they might be, however, I do take exception to the Aflac Recovering Duck commercial. If there was anything that makes me get close to finding an automatic weapon and leveling an ad agency, that would be the one. Seriously, have that dude for Christmas dinner and get it and me out of our misery.
