I have read all info on the Wendy's / AirTran promotion.

Is it me or does it seem to easy to get a round trip ticket.

I couldn't find any restrictions on their web site.

It's Easy to Participate:

Offer open only to consumers who have an AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account and are 18 years of age or older as of 11/1/05. If you do not have an AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account, you may create one at no cost by visiting www.aplusrewards.com and following the on-line instructions. If you do not have Internet access, please call 1-888-327-5878 to open your AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account. All information obtained from this program is for the sole purpose of administering this promotion and is in compliance with the AirTran Airways Privacy Policy.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: On or about 11/1/05 through 12/31/05, or while supplies last, when you purchase a specially-marked 20 oz. or 32 oz. Coca-Cola beverage at a participating Wendy's you will find a Proof of Purchase/AirTran Flight Coupon printed on the cup. Limit five (5) drinks per transaction.

After you have consumed your beverage, carefully cut out the Proof of Purchase/AirTran Flight Coupon along the dotted line. Fill out a 3x5 card with your complete name, street address (no P.O. Boxes) and AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account number and mail in a handwritten business size (#10) envelope along with at least four (4) but no more than one hundred and twenty-eight (128) Proofs of Purchase/AirTran Flight Coupons per stamped envelope to Wendy's/AirTran Airways Promotion, AirTran Airways Special Services, 1224 Bob Harmon Road, Savannah, GA 31408 to be received by 2/13/06. Extra postage may be required.

WHAT YOU GET: For every 4 incremental Proofs of Purchase/AirTran Flight Coupons along with a properly completed 3x5 card, you will receive one (1) A+ Rewards Credit. Maximum credits you may receive per AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account is thirty-two (32), which means the maximum number of Proofs of Purchase/AirTran Flight Coupons you may submit is 128, regardless of how many envelopes submitted. I read & thought the same thing, then I went to my local Wendy's on Saturday....ordered a single combo, just to get a drink with a ticket....guess what...NO ticket on the cup! Where are they suppose to be?? aggravating!
I think I'll stick to Southwest DING fares or even Jet Blue's low fares, they are almost the same as this promotion....and without drinking all those sodas!

Don't forget about blackout dates for redeeming your coupons for a flight too.

I saw this promo too and thought it was interesting. I guess if you frequent a Wendy's anyway, that would be a nice extra perk--a "free" ticket! However, since I don't eat there, I would have to go buy 64 sodas. (no need to drink them, I am sure the manager would sell you empty cups if you wanted--at full price, of course!)

As mentioned above, there are other ways to get a ticket for about the same price though on Airtran or other low rate airlines. I would do some homework on this one first. I would also be wary of the blackout dates--make sure they fit your travel schedules. Good luck though.

Right now (for the next year) I am saving Dannon water proof of purchases to get frequent flyer miles on American. I buy it anyway, and by the time the promo is over, I should earn 5000 "free" miles for each member of my family--and as often as we fly, this will put us much closer to our next free tickets! If anyone else wants to send me their Dannon proof of purchase seals, PM me, LOL!!!

Hey, I just had a thought--you could "dumpster dive" for the empty cups from other patrons who purchased the cups but didn't want the coupons--that would make this a deal, but a kinda icky one, lol. Maybe you could just go there every day for a week and ask folks when they were done with their sodas if you could have their cup. Might be less ick that way.

I worked at a Wendy's through high school and college (nine miserable years) and people would come and order drinks and ask if they could get them double cupped because they were traveling a long distance with them. We always did it without question. Between that and dumpster diving you could get a free ticket for about $25 if you tried hard enough.

Has anyone actually seen these cups? My Wendy's cups do not say anything..no plu's, no codes, nothing about Air Tran...what are you all finding?

The wendy's in Rochester had them. I was there twice this week. I was a little to shy to ask around for cups. I could only muster up asking one person! How lame is that! And I couldn't do the dumpster dive (at least in public!!).

You missed an earlier thread on this subject. I called AirTran - it's the real deal!

Unfortunately, the franchise stores in Pittsburgh aren't participating in this promo. Wendy's corporate offices directed me to the nearest location (150 miles RT away).
Off I went, purchasing enough empty cups to enable us to redeem 3 RT flights (including rewards we had on hand). Mailed them off, waiting for my reward credits.

Sure beats the $2,000 I have to spend on their CC to earn a point!

I've only submitted 1/4 of what my DH & I are eligible...but, didn't have enough nerve to ask to buy more cups. LOL I'm still looking for any/all coupons that anyone isn't using - will reimburse.
