Has anyone have any recent experience with this hotel? I just got it on a bid thru Priceline for 2 days next week. Paying $38 per night. I haven't read any good reviews on it from the Biddingfortravel board. I am getting a little nervous. I know there is nothing I can do... and that was the chance I had to take. I did want to stay on site at Universal but the RPH & HRH were booked for my 2 nights. I didn't want to pay full price for offsite so used Priceline....Anyone with any info on this place

Ther was one of the post from www.tripadvisor.com there were some very positive comments on there! as opposed to what was posted under bidding fortravels site, hope this helps!!!

Orlando: Wellesley Inn Orlando International Drive: "Wellesley Inn was great!"

We spent a lot of time looking for hotels in Orlando and AAA came up with the Wellesley Inn on International Dr. The AAA rate was $45.00 and well worth it. It was within 10-15 minutes of anything you wanted to see. While the hotel has no shuttles it is not that far to drive to any of the major destinations. What made the stay as good as it was was the staff. While not large they showed great attention to detail. They all knew where a good florist etc. was and were knowledgeable about the restaurants and which to see and to avoid. Rooms were first rate and well appointed. No strange smells etc. All rooms overlook a lake and the city at night is quite a view. Hotel is quiet even during busy times. Glad we passed up some of the pricier and not nearly as convenient "big" hotels.

Thanks so much for the response.... this looks like it was a recent trip too.... maybe they have done some work on the hotel.... :D

We have never stayed at this location, but my husband stays at another Wellsley in Orlando about 4 times a year. It is not an exciting place, but is very well kept. The pool is just that. A big rectangle. It is nice to have a kitchen and sitting area, but it is an open room with only one tv. I think they have a free continental breakfast, too. Ours had waffles, toast, cereals, muffins, juice and things like that.

Is this the same place as
Wellesley Inn Kissimmee Lake Cecile
4944 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway
(Us Highway 192)
Kissimmee, Florida 34746

If not, has anyone stayed at this location?

Not the same place... this one is on International Drive.

DaddyDon....just to let you know, that review you found...they were correct. We came home yesterday from the Wellesley. The room was clean, even the carpet was clean. Bathroom was spotless... I think there was a major overhaul done on this hotel lately. I have no complaints about it at all..the views from our room were beautiful. I had myself all nervous over nothing.... everything ended up being fine! :sunny:
