Well.

Wow, Tom, that's brilliant.
I'm not sure if i believe in ghosts, but that kinda confirmed something for me.
And it's good that your mom could get in touch with your grandparents :D.

It's freaky isn't it? Someone close to me just did that and it was freaky.

PS - This is Sonya on mom's account. My laptop broke ):

Oh, wow.

Maybe in a few months, we'll try to contact Kim. If we can get through to her, that'll truly be amazing.

I believe that people in your life can contact you because I truely believe it happened to me and my dad. While we were on vacation in Virginia shortly after my Aunt( my Dad's Sister passed away) I woke up and looked over at my dad and he was wide awake as I was. He was staring, but not saying a word. I then turned my head and I saw an image of a women with black long hair just like my Aunt had. I then turned away back to my dad. He was still looking. He then slowly got up and when this happened the spirit disappered into the direction of the bathroom in the hotel room. My dad then went into the bathroom and there was no sign of the spirit. It never came back the entire trip.

They are scammers and if you look at what the psychic told your mother "there might be circumstances trying to sell the house". In tough times like this many people are having trouble selling homes. Also, psychics rely on selective memory - people forget everything they said that was false or didn't apply to them, and therefore they only believe the guesses that come true. Also, people lead psychics to the true things that they say, by hints they give them. Psychics are trained to look for these hints. Most psychics are just very talented con artists that play on the fact that people want to believe that their loved ones are still here and are still looking out for them.

I do believe that there are some true psychics, but not ones that go shouting it out on the radio/tv.

But it does apply to this situation.

And I doubt a scammer would be on a radio station?
I live in New York, which is the media capital of the world...so I doubt it.

I believe in ghosts, but that was way to vague for that guy to be real (and william is a common name, top 10 even)

Well there was something there at the bottom of my bed that resembled my Aunt and both my Dad & I saw it at the same time.

No, I totally believe you Tom.

One of my friends/classmates just passed away from cancer - it struck home because we both had cancer and we'd gotten close the past few months.
About a week or two ago, a man contacted her mother - he was not physic but spirits who'd recently passed go to him so he can put their loved ones at ease. He told her mother of intimate conversations (she'd relayed on that her mom was right, and the only convo they had was about it being safe in Heaven) among other stuff that absolutely NO ONE knew. The man did not know her family, and vice versa.

If that's a scammer, then I'd say you're a mighty cynic.

Thank you, Sonya.

Unlike the few previous posters, you know me well enought to know that. :)

I really am a skeptic when it comes to psychics and stuff like that.
I just find that they say reeeeally general things and the people who want to believe will find a way to apply it to their lives.

For example, There used to be a show called 'crossing over with john edwards'...and a lot of people think since he's on TV he MUST be a real psychic, but when I watched it, all he would do would be go over to a section of the audience and say some SO general, like "I'm sensing someone over here had a grandmother whose name started with M"...then someone would raise there hand and say "My grandmother was named Margret" and he'd say something like else really general and do a 'reading' and everything just wound up being like "your (loved one) wants you to know that they're O.K/are sorry/forgive you" etc.

I read a book once about how psychics con people, they just take cues from their speech (like if they talk about a person in the past tense they can safely assume they've died and can 'contact' them). Body language, speech etc, they just take cues from that to do their readings.

Anyways, I'm obviously not trying to put you down, but as I said, I'm really skeptical of those things, but it sounds like you had an interesting experience. Maybe someday something like that will happen to me and make me believe.

because my grandparents and great grandpa got through to my mom by a psychic today.

My mom called into a radio station b/c they had a psychic on, and he can get the spirits from the callers family members.

So he says to my mom "I have your in laws" (my grandparents) and he says "from your mother in law, there's an apology directed towards you." My mom found my grandma dead... and then he says "I see something about a house" ..we're trying to sell my grandma's house. He said that there might be some "circumstances" trying to sell it, but eventually everything will work out. And then he said he got something about a William (which is my middle name, I guess they just wanted to throw that in there lol) and then he said that my great grandpa was there.

They didnt ask my mom anything before she went on air with him, just her first name.

It was so creepy, but really cool. I never believed in them until today.

Dude, you know what there are always going to be doubters about this sort of stuff, but what I feel is more important in this encounter is that is affected both your Mom and You not in a negative way but a positive way and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all.
