Just got off the phone (DW that is) and booked our one night stay in Miami. We were looking for somewhere not too expensive but something nice. We've taken Simon's advice and booked a hotel on Ocean Drive ( South Beach). The place we've booked is Avalon Majestic Hotel. We got a very good rate of $89 dollars - my DW did all the talking !!!! This rate also includes continental breakfast. So we're all set, apart from booking our seats on Virgin (PE). The only bummer here is that we'd hoped we could have gotten into the business lounge at Gatwick and now realise we can't. Oh well - we can't have it all.
