now why i keep gaining wais we meaning my dr. mom and me is because i might have dibetties(sp??) and it might be causeing weight gain so i have to go see a dibetties(sp??) specialist in jan.

Oh, Stitchgirl! Diabetes is a serious matter, nothing to mess around with.

Good luck with your tests with the specialist. If he does find that you are diabetic, he will put you on a diet and possibly on medication.

It will be VERY IMPORTANT that you follow his instructions carefully. And we'll help you in any way we can.

thnaks i know a lot about it caus eit runs very hight on my moms and dads side of the family 7out of 9 kids on my gandfathers side including him in the 7 has diabetes and both my dads mom and dad have it so i know alot about giving shots since a few of the take shots and others take the pill but if i have it i know i can deal with it if my cousin who is 10 has it and had it since he was 3 i think i can deal with it he is like my insperation being so young with it. thanks again and i will keep you updated and i am thankful to have people l;ike you in my life!! It might be wise for you to look into Low Carb eating (Atkins, Protein Power, South Beach etc) until your Dr's appointment. It is very similar to the diet a diabetic is given.

At the very least, cut out ALL sugar! Take care of yourself. Diabetes is nothing to play around with.
