I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Tonight we are finally telling the kids about our June trip. It's exactly 60 days from today that we leave. We are taking them to Fridays for dinner and I made a large countdown calender for them to open up. They are going to freak! It's our longest trip, we are staying at Bay Lake Towers and my brother and his family, my parents and my little brother and his fiance area all meeting us there.

I can't wait to see their faces, I am like a kid on Christmas eve! The best thing will be finally being able to talk about it. haha, now the real fun begins!

I can relate to that feeling :goodvibes I suprised DD last year with our trip and on the day running up to the evening when I would break the news I was behaving like a bit of a nutter :lmao:

Enjoy the waiting .... it is all part of the pleasure of the planning and secrecy.

What fun! Santa surprised my kids with their first trip for Feb. 2009, but for this year's trip I couldn't wait for a "big reveal". There's nothing like the looks on the kids' faces when they realize what's going to happen! :goodvibes

That is so exciting! Maybe you could record it somehow? Even with your cell phone. Those videos on the Disney commercials are SO great--it would be a wonderful memory to capture.

Good luck!

I can feel your excitement! We surprised our DD's last year, it was the best thing we ever did. The memory of their faces was priceless. Have fun, tell us how they react...:)

I think that is so great...... It's incredible how kids get so excited about going to Disney and that's priceless. For all the knocks you hear about Disney from non-Disney people, how do you not love a place that makes people so happy?

I can't wait to do this to my DS. we r going in Dec. so i'm trying to think of a good way to surprize him. It's so hard to keep it a secert.:cool1:

I am taking my DDs ages 13 and 6 in June and it is getting harder to keep it a secret. Our plane makes a stop in San Antonio then continues to Orlando and I'm thinking of telling them we are going to San Antonio then pretending we forgot to get off the plane. On the other hand it would be great to count down the days. Any advice?

We told the kids Saturday night and they were so surprised! Thanks for the idea of recording on my phone, I have a momento now to keep.

DS15, was the most excited...funny I didn't see that coming. I thought he was getting too old. He just kept saying, no way, no way! DS12 was more in shock. When we showed them pics of Bay Lake they got a little giddy!:rotfl2:
Now, every day one of them says how many days it is until we go and we have been talking about our past trips and all the fun we have had. I am glad I told them, it will be much more fun to plan it all now because I can ask them for their input.
