I was browsing Disney's HHI website and I plugged in a date in September to get an idea of the rack rates for a 1BR and a 2BR for that time of year.

Apparently, there is a NEW option at HHI...

" Magic Kingdom® View - Atrium Club Level

Concierge service at the Atrium Club includes personalized Front Desk and Guest Services, turndown service and a lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks, evening wine and cheese and evening cordials and dessert. Magic Kingdom View Rooms have 2 queen-size beds or one king-size bed, day bed, table, chairs and a large bathroom with private commode. All rooms are non-smoking. One wheelchair-accessible room is available. Amenities include a large flat-screen TV, in-room safe, voice mail, high-speed Internet access (additional fee), hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffeemaker and refrigerator. A crib is available upon request. Located in the Tower Building, Concierge Magic Kingdom View Rooms offer views of a parking area and Magic Kingdom theme park.


Ummmm....is this like a live-feed that they stream into your "virtual windows"? I sincerely hope that nobody actually books this via the website. I would think that they would be significantly disappointed in their "view", not to mention the "concierge" service. On top of that, I entered a party size of 4 adults and 4 children...not sure how we'd all cram into two queen-size beds and a daybed.

From what i understand it is correct. It is an interior room with a fake balcony and a picture of the magic kingdom. Very similar to the room models at SSR for DVC. They can also (for a fee) change the picture for you. They have available the Great Wall in China, the Pyramids from Gaza and the Kalahari (although, there are no animals in the pictures. Apparently, kids kept asking if the animals in the window were dead since they never moved). Seriously! It would be interesting to make the reservation and then call them to make a room request.

Cute idea ... and rather flexible, too. After all, if you can see the Magic Kingdom from Hilton Head you should be able to imagine seeing the Pyramids of Giza (Egypt) from the viewpoint of Gaza (bordering Israel). Great idea!

Maybe they will offer "Atlantic Ocean" views now at WDW DVC resorts.

That's not really that far fetched considering DCL's Disney Dreams ship has "virtual portholes" where inner cabins have a video screen that displays footage from cameras mounted on the outside of the ship.
