It has been non- stop, I can not watch a program without one slamming the other with ads :( Polls close here in about an hour so it will stop! I hope you all voted, I found myself voting on issues, not on who "attacked" more then the other on TV ads. :) Elections in Illinois always get ugly.

Wow I was talking to a friend about this just today. I hate the mudslinging going on between the top two candidates here in MA. I am so tired of hearing them both whine that I refuse to vote for either of them...Yes, I did vote, just not for eityher of them. I can not wait to for the disappearance of the political ads.

I have seen something here in FLorida that I have never witnessed before and that is people actually standing on the street corners holding the signs and waving at the cars that drove by. This has gone on since we moved here in August> I have seen signs pushed in the ground but never attached to a human before. Is this normally happen or is it just here??

I know what you mean Patrick. If I ever see a Blagojevich, Birkett, Lisa Madigan or Jim Ryan ad again it will be too soon. I have deliberately watched HGTV and the Discovery channel today to avoid seeing those ads. I won't even watch the news because I am so sick of hearing them. (I did vote however!)

Ugg - political ads. Don't remind me! I always hate this time of year for that reason. :(

that's all I can say.... THANK GOD!!!

I couldn't have said it better.

It's been brutal here in Texas!

The Governor's race!:earseek:

Horrible ads on both sides:eek:

I would hope that some day (wishful thinking) everyone who is running for office would talk about the good they do instead of running the other people down -- it would be a real change -- IL was really ugly - especially in our area

I stopped answering my phone on the weekend and vowed not to until after polls closed today.....too many calls from candidates!

Texas has been AWFUL!!

I miss those wonderful folks in Arizona... They did very little mudslinging, and their ads truly were about what the candidate wanted to accomplish, not about what the other person did "wrong" or how bad they are.

I know what you mean!!! I am so sick of Blagojevich, Ryan, Birkett, Madigan, Shimkus and Phelps!! It is hard to figure out their stance on different issues without getting a huge mudpie in the face!!

On the other hand, Dick Durbin ran a very clean campaign.

I suddenly noticed my mailbox was lighter today, too!! No more postcard/pamphlet ads from these 'public servants'!!

Patrick, I did the same thing with the issues in one race myself. Positions on issues can make it or break it with me!

Ahhh, it's over!!! :)

I am glad we do not have to endure those ads any more.. but will say this morning in MA I am feeling pretty happy at the results.. :) I do agree with Glo though, it did get nasty here...but I put that aside and voted for who I thought would do the best job...Hopefully, I did the right thing.. :) It is interesting to watch how the rest of the country is coming in as well.... I am pretty happy about that as well.. :) :)
