My window opened today and I scheduled our FPs. We have 3 day hoppers plus plan to do MNSSHP on sept 1. It would not allow me to schedule any from 4-7 on the party day unless I cancelled one of the other 3 days. So it appears you can only schedule them if you also plan to enter with a regular park ticket.

The accounts for preplanning FP+. The question is will you be able to make them from a kiosk once you've entered with your MNSSHP ticket at 4pm. Let us know!

My guess is unless you don't have used all your slots for that day by 4pm when you enter you will not be able to make Same Day FP+.

If you fall into the normal Park hopping used/missed all 3 of your pre-planned slots. Yes you'll be able to get anything they have left from 4-7.

Depending on whether you are trying to do high demand attractions on your other day, and when this day falls in your trip, just go ahead and schedule them for this day, then not use your regular ticket and schedule the extra day the next morning.

I hope that makes sense. But the system doesn't know which days you really plan on using your 3 day ticket.

What you don't seem to be appreciating is that the party is only from 7pm, so if you only have the party tickets then strictly speaking that is the admission time, the 4-7pm is a bonus as you haven't paid for a regular park ticket. Like it or not this is only fair, after all if non ticket holders were allowed to stay in that bonus three hours and see the parades and fireworks and so on I certainly wouldn't be happy about it, if you see what I mean. Besides, you are not disallowed from going on the attractions for those three hours, you are just not able to have the perk of the FP+

Just adding to clarify, you only have a three day PH which you plan to use on other days I presume (4 days in all) so that is why they want you to cancel one of the other days. No FP+ are able to be scheduled during EMH or special events like parties, they never have been even before the days of MB,MDE and FP+

The OP is answering the question, because with legacy FP you *could* pull FPs from 4-7 entering the park at 4 with a Party ticket. We did this ourselves last October (you are correct that FPs were not available once the party began at 7).

Since the system wasn't fully rolled out during the last party season, whether or not that ability would continue has been up in the air a bit.

O I fully realize this, and as you can see from my OP I wasn't upset about it, merely an observation. There were questions about it and since my window opened up I checked it out.

The party is the last day of our stay so we will have used all 3 park days by then.

With legacy FP you could pull FP all day of the party with party ticket. The tickets where active as soon as the park opened. Not just 4-7. Ap holders have been using this double dipping for at least since 2004. When I first did it.

Right, but this thread is about people who don't have valid ticket media in addition to a party ticket. You had to use another ticket to get into the park to "use the party ticket for FPs all day long."

It used to be that you could get a FP, using your party ticket, when you used the party ticket to enter the park. I'm not sure what people are saying about getting FPs, all day, using a party ticket. You weren't allowed in the park, with just the party ticket, until 4pm. How did that get a FP prior to 4? You used whatever park pass you used to enter the park, to get a FP. I have had an AP for many years....if I used the AP to get into the park, that's what I got FPs with. If I used my party ticket to enter that's what I used. But use them both? Was never able to do it. There was the time that I stuck my AP in the FP machine....nothing. Tried 3 more times and then reported that the machine was wonky. The CM asked what I used to get I to the park with. Duh.....my party ticket. Had to use that to get a FP.
But, none of this has any bearing on the OPs post.

Now if you have a 3 day hopper, you get to make 3 days of FP+s. I suppose that at some point, the system may be able to recognize that you have a party ticket for a particular evening, and allow you to get FPs fot that time period. But, there's not a huge need for them then.

It moot now.

But for years I used party tickets for FP all day long entering within my AP. Don't know why it didn't work for you.

And I was just adding that the party tickets worked prior to the 4pm entry time for FP.

That said, based on the old policy. Like I said earlier I would guess if you enter at 4p and don't have any remaining FP+ slots you'll be able to get the same days that are left. But till there is a party (1sept) we won't know for sure.

I was wondering about this also, as we arrive at 1pm and are doing MVMCP from 4pm on. We have PH tickets for 4 days of our 5 day stay, but planned on getting FP+ for the first night and not the last morning. Guess I'll have to wait until September when I can try for FP's myself.

UGH. Ok, back to the drawing board for FPs....I had planned on booking 3 at MK for the party night. :surfweb:
