Well imagine my surprise!June 2009 PTRw/pics 7/7 pg. 76 NEW TR started link on pg. 76

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend! It was very productive here! Yesterday I went out to lunch with my grandmother, she turned 87!:cheer2: I sure hope I have her longevity genes!:thumbsup2 She was so happy surrounded by 5 of her great-grandchildren!

On to the trip preparations!!

When I intially bought my cleo crocs I KNEW I should have gotten another pair but I was skeptical about whether or not I would like them! Well..... I LOVE THEM! I wore them to NYC last weekend and they are AMAZING so I spent ALOT of time this weekend looking for another pair and I kept striking out! NONE at Dicks, Modell's or Sports Authority...there were other styles but no cleos!:sad2: In the end I ended up ordering another pair on line and got free shipping to boot!:goodvibes I HOPE they get here soon!

I also preordered our photopass cd today! Using the Disney Visa code I was able to get 15% too so the whole thing was only $85 not too bad for such a long trip, a definite value for us!!

I checked our packing list versus what I already have and it's not looking too bad! I still have a few things to buy but not much!!!

I also wanted to post our Epcot wish list for things we would like to see/do!!

Test Track (all day if we could...LOVE it)
Soarin
Mission Space (green side only please)
Kim Possible Adventure (I think the boys are looking forward to this the most)
Spaceship Earth (hopefully Eric doesn't pitch a fit this year)
Figment (sentimental FAVE)
Mexico boat ride
Maelstrom (never been)
New piggy bank adventure in innoventions
Strolling through World Showcase
shopping in world showcase
Margaritas
gran marnier slushies
Illuminations

Here is a few pictures from Epcot during last years trip...

That's a great picture! They look like they're having the time of their lives!

I love the streets of Hollywood at night with all the colorful lights.

Tower of Terror at night - awesome! :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday to your grandmother:goodvibes

What a greal with the CD :thumbsup2

Love Epcot :woohoo:

That Beverly pic is hilarious

Oh it's getting so close! Love the lists. I can't remember a fit over Spaceship Earth in last years tr. I don't think I have ever done ToT in the dark. It sounds awfully fun. I meant to ask, do you tip DVC mousekeeping the same as you would reg ie a dollar a day times the number of people staying in the room or less because the mousekeeping is less?
Thanks for the advice in advance.

TOT is my favorite ride, but I've never done it at night.

I did the pre-order last week, this will be a first for me. Since DH isn't going it will be the only way I will get in pictures.

Happy Birthday to your Gran!

Wow! Cannot believe you are already this close to your trip! Very exciting!!!

Hadn't heard of the Disney Visa Code for preordering photopass. Is that a temperary deal or something more permanent?

Hey Diane, I haven't been on in a while, I had to catch up. I saw the date and knew you guys are getting so close. Glad you're doing Wolfgang Puck, we really like it. I'm anxious to read your reviews of the Brown Derby. That's on my list to try next trip.
Loved the NY pics, hope to do that one day.
Just wanted to say hello and share in your excitement. Can't wait to read the TR.:cool1:

Hi Diane,
That is awesome that you have and 87 year old grandma and she was able to celebrate her Birthday with her 5 great grand children. Your trip is so close. I'll be coming up to NJ for a weekend while you are away. The kids will be staying with their grandma here since I will be visiting my dad. Anyway happy that you were able to order your Cleo's. Your Epcot must do's look great! You should easily be able to get all those things in during a two week trip. You should have plenty of time to relax :cool1:.

I love your Test Track picture. You all look like you're having a ball.:goodvibes

What do cleos look like? I recently got a pair of mary janes that I really like.:thumbsup2

Thanks so much! We aren't going to tip the same only because they do less cleaning. We will probably do about $8 on the big cleaning day and $4 on the trash and towel day! Eric hated SE last year because he thought it was slow and boring!:goodvibes

We will be there at HS too, probably not too late though.

Hope to see you!;)

Thanks Carissa, I LOVE them!!:)

The code is good for 15% off the pre purchase price and the promotion ends on 6/15. Good LUck if you do it!:goodvibes

Thanks Nichole! That stinks that you will be here while I am not, would love to meet you for a drink or some Jenk's pizza! I hope it all works out with your dad and he is OK!:goodvibes

Thanks so much! Cleos have just 2 straps that go across the top of the shoe kind of like a sandal and they are SUPER comfortable!:cloud9:

Great packing list! You and Lesley are sooo organized! I'm lucky to remember my plane tickets usually! :rotfl:

 for $1000 reward dollars!! That is great! I have switched from the Disney Visa to using the Discover mostly but the cash rewards are still going to the Disney fund. :) We are trying to plan a trip for maybe Jan or Feb next year but then I get a card in the mail yesterday from Southwest, Friends fly free, so buy 1 ticket and the 2nd is free plus free dining! Man, that is tempting but I don't think I can talk DH into September again... :sad2:

Looking forward to your TR!! :goodvibes

Did you see they extended hours at MK and DHS and added extra F!s and Spectros? More choices!

Thanks Tammy! WOW that offer sounds terrific! That is good that you are still earning money for Disney:thumbsup2

I did see that! It definitely opens up some more possibilities, Thanks!:goodvibes

Diane, Did you see that on June 28 there is a Passholders viewing of the New Hall of Presidents from 11- 9 (it was in my All Ears newsletter)

I didn't see that Laura, THANK YOU for letting me know. We will be in the Magic Kingdom that morning so that works out GREAT! Bryan and Matthew will be excited!:thumbsup2

I HAD to change my ticker for this trip!:sad2: I don't know how, BUT it was a day ahead...:sad2: SO after 10 1/2 months of moving down, the Mickey Head is back at the start! Hopefully he will move quickly now!:thumbsup2

I did a mock checkout for the Costco water delivery and was happy to see that 2 cases are still $15:cool1:

I downloaded our rewards onto our rewards card so that is done:thumbsup2

We pulled out the suitcases last night and put them in the boys room!:goodvibes

All these little things mean that the trip is getting SO CLOSE!!
Only 10 DAYS!!!:cheer2::cheer2::woohoo::yay::dance3:

Have a GREAT day!

Diane:goodvibes

The rewards card. I need to do that! I have a card, but need to move those points! Thanks for the reminder.
