Well...... I did it!!

I got away from work a little early today, and somehow the CR-V drove itself down to the local 'Curves' salon.

And......... I signed up!!!

I'm going to try it out for a month, and if it works out, I'll sign on for a year for less.

I need just a bit of pixie dust to keep my commitment level high.

Sprinkle liberally, PLEASE ! ! ! ! ! !

Awesome, *Flower*! You'll have a great time. I love going to mine, although I'm in slow mode right now. We're still working on family pick-ups and driving schedules for the new school year, so it's 30 minutes (no more) not as often as I'd like right now . I do tell 'em. This is mom's time, and I deserve it! (but it doesn't always work out)

Right now my Curves salon is only open M - F, but they're promising that next month they'll be adding half-day sessions on Saturdays.
They currently have over 400 members, and are talking about expanding the salon. I'll see how the month goes and maybe will get the price break next month!!

*FLOWER* -- Are you going to be following the curves eating plan too, or just the workout portion? Curves sounds like SO MUCH fun! The closest one to me is about 20 minutes away and I just haven't decided if it is worth the travel. They have a free trial, right? Maybe I'll just stop by some evening and give it a try.

Mine is almost that far away from my house. If I go directly from work, it will be over 1/2 hour to get there.

They do have a 1 week free trial, however if you do that- you lose the opportunity to get a discount on the sign-up fee. I opted for the 50% off the sign-up fee- and I paid for one month of membership up front to see how well I can adapt to this diviation to my schedule. Also, if you do sign up- there is a 3 day total refund window.

If it works out..... then I'll go for the reduced fee and the 1 year contract.

I'm doing Atkins, and I will continue on that course. They do ask quite a few health history questions, and you do sign a liability release. All health clubs do the same thing though.

They're in the process of expanding their hours, adding Saturday to their open days- and a new machine will be added to the circuit. It just arrived.

I have my 'training' session tomorrow after work, where they'll walk me through the routine from one end to the other; and show me how to use all of the machines.
