Personally, Atkins works best for me (I've tried both). With Atkins, I can eat as much as I want, just cutting out the processed flours and sugars. I don't have to worry about counting points and portioning my food. When I was on WW, I was constantly hungry!
And, while on WW, I had "highs" and "lows" during the days from eating carbs. It affected my blood sugar too much. I find with Atkins, my blood sugar stays at a nice even amount all day long, so I have constant energy!

And, I'm never hungry! That's the best part!
I've lost just under 40 pounds since August!
But, both plans are very good - different plans work best for different people. With your possible blood sugar problems, I would highly recommend Atkins. But, only you can decide what's best for you! Good luck! And congrats on your test results!
