I see in your siggy that you have been to POR and POFQ. I've been to POR, but not POFQ Which do you like better?

We preferred POR by far. And at POR we were really far away (the big thing everyone usually complains about), but we loved the grounds and the room was big (we had a trundle room). Boatwrights was awesome. We just loved the atmosphere of the whole resort, very relaxed. We were in the Alligator Bayou section. We LOVED the quiet pools. There were never more than 10 people in them in the middle of August!

At POFQ we were VERY close to everything which was nice, but we missed all the plants. FQ has a smaller food court too.

All in all they are both really great. You can't go wrong with either.

Disclaimer: we were at POR when FQ was closed for refrib so the buses were awesome. They were really good at FQ too.

I'm hoping to go back to POR in December.

I loved POFQ.............way better than POR. Harley? What did you think? In fact, I think it's tied with Wilderness Lodge as our fave so far.

That's so funny! Just goes to prove to each his/her own!

I think we missed the quiet pools & lush grounds at POR the most when at FQ, but other than that it was really great.

Yes, I do...a lot...I'm a librarian. I also read just about anything else you can think of...yes...even that! :teeth:

But my screen name refers to my favorite comic book character, Harley Quinn (Joker's girlfriend). She's my avatar. :)

She was introduced on Batman: The Animated Series, then she started appearing in the comics. She's hilarious!

I love that name. One year for Halloween, my dh dressed as the Joker and me as Harley Quinn. I have to say we did an amazing job. Wish I knew how to post pix, I would post a picture of it. FUnny thing about it, my husband had green hair that we spray painted. Well, my friend had a white chair, dh sat in it . . . and you can guess the rest of the story. I was mortified, we offered to pay for it, but it was a chair from college days and they refused to let us. It's still a funny story we tell now though.

Thanks! I'm still learning all of these places Disney has placed it's magic on! It's unreal and amazing how much is out there! Now I'll keep quiet and post a pic! I liked the frogs... maybe I'll go with that!

Yep. We liked the closeness of POFQ. I agree about the food court, but one of our main pastimes while there is dining, so we only ate at the food court twice. We loved the pool though.

Our problem with POR was the busing...........POFQ gets picked up first, so they were often full before they got to us. The size wasn't that big a deal, but it was awfully nice at POFQ to take about 12 steps for our mug refills.

We also love New Orleans and the feel of POFQ is quite authentic (but cleaner and less rowdy!).

I'm signing off for a while. Catch you girls later!

That's so awesome!! I wanted to do that too, but I can't sew, so no costume, plus I'm too plump for the skin tight costume :)

believe me, I'm not one for skin tight outfits either - I improvised with a jester's costume (red and black), and then made up my face like hers!

I painted my face like hers a long time ago when I went to an ICP concert

I can't believe I admitted going to ICP.

oooooo Tokyo Disney. That would be so cool. I wanna go! :)

HQ... This ICP? :rotfl2:

I am truly scared of clowns... I hope this thread doesn't turn into a clown pic postin' thread! I'd rather stick with pickles, cats, dogs & frogs :teeth:

My cousin lives 20 miles outside of Tokyo. We do want to go to Disney Tokyo. There are two parks there, one sounds much like the MK and one is TOTALLY different than ANYTHING at Disney World. We want to go to both, but maybe at different times of the week.

Kudos to you guys who are willing to go overseas! I'm not brave enough to let someone fly me elsewhere!

Boy, am I a scaredy cat or what? Clowns and planes are not my thing!!! :sad2:

I wish I'd seen that show.........

I have slight issues with flight, but no flying=no Disney for us, so I've had to suck it up and deal with it.
