E goes in tomorrow for surgery on his inguinal hernia. I've been a little worried even though I know it is a common surgery. Thanks to everyone who posted what it could be long ago when I first noticed something wasn't quite right. Chris stayed home today so we could all spend the day together (I worked all weekend). Poor little guy just turned two on Friday and now has to do this.
I keep telling myself he will probably be running around by the evening and we will have to convince him to take it easy. Knowing E, I'm pretty sure that is what will happen.
UPDATE:
Elliot is home and doing well. The whole thing took about 4.5 hours from the time we got there to the time we went home. He is having some vomiting from the anesthesia but that seems to be subsiding. They gave him some sort of watered down epidural before bringing him out of general and that blocked the pain but that only lasts up to 8 hours so he had his first dose of Tylenol w/ Codeine so it overlaps with his block ending.
He is being spoiled to death and seems to be getting back to his old self. Thanks for your well wishes, I really appreciated them.
