E goes in tomorrow for surgery on his inguinal hernia. I've been a little worried even though I know it is a common surgery. Thanks to everyone who posted what it could be long ago when I first noticed something wasn't quite right. Chris stayed home today so we could all spend the day together (I worked all weekend). Poor little guy just turned two on Friday and now has to do this.

I keep telling myself he will probably be running around by the evening and we will have to convince him to take it easy. Knowing E, I'm pretty sure that is what will happen. ;)

UPDATE:

Elliot is home and doing well. The whole thing took about 4.5 hours from the time we got there to the time we went home. He is having some vomiting from the anesthesia but that seems to be subsiding. They gave him some sort of watered down epidural before bringing him out of general and that blocked the pain but that only lasts up to 8 hours so he had his first dose of Tylenol w/ Codeine so it overlaps with his block ending.

He is being spoiled to death and seems to be getting back to his old self. Thanks for your well wishes, I really appreciated them.

 and pixie dust. My brother had the same thing when he was about 3. (he's married and about 23 now!)

Elliot's adorable! Keep us updated on how he does!

Hugs, prayers and pixie dust for a fast, painless surgery and a speedy recovery! :bounce:

Prayers to your sweetie:hug: I'm sure everything will go smoothly:sunny:

Best wishes - if you makes you feel better, we've "been there, done that" and you'll be surprised how quickly he's back to normal and running around - my son was up and about within 24 hours.

Thanks. I'm hoping that is what happens. We went tonight and bought him a few videos, books, and a toy that can keep him busy while sitting still. Basically, just a bunch of stuff to spoil the crud out of him tomorrow when he comes home.

We dropped Mosey off at my cousin's house and she is going to spend the night/tomorrow over there so she doesn't have to get up early with us.

Anyway, I need to get to bed as we are getting up at 5am. Thanks so much for the well wishes.

Bridget, he'll be ok. for you and for him. :)

Prayers for Elliot and your family. I was one of the posters who told you about our experience with our ds. It took him a few days before he could climb back on the couch. I am sure everything will turn out well. Give him lots of hugs. Give us an update when you can. Bless you all.

Prayers and PD for you all, keep us posted!!!
:goodvibes
