May I brag on my daughter? It doesn't really matter since I will anyway but at last night's PTF meeting she and the other 2nd graders did some recitations from memory.

They recited some poem concerning counting, the Preamble to the Constitution, Psalm 23, Psalm 100, and Exodus 20:1-20 (which is quite a mouthful by itself )

Of course, they said it in unison in a monotone voice which gave the whole thing an aura of little Christian Stepford Children creepiness, but I'm still proud.

Morning all! I've been MIA since yesterday afternoon. I am in the process of reloading SP2 and a few other things on my computer. Something with an update at one point really screwed things up. So I did that all yesterday afternoon and just before I went to bed.

Paula, don't you realize that things like that *are* very essential. I'd probably go crazy if I didn't keep chocolate in the house

Sherry, I am glad he got his stuff found and will get it back, but I am totally shocked that people are like that! Such a crazy world we live in sometimes

Kimmie, the Buckle store skeers me because fo the clothing in there actually. I don't see myself as one who would wear a lot of it. Plus I get skeered of upscale stores! That's why I was happy we have a stand alone Lucky store. Somehow even though the service was so personal (the girl even remembered me from when we bought Luis' jeans), I felt less out of place there.

Nancy, good luck on the pearl! I even looked some and it is really very difficult to find one like that! Oh and the ones you like... they are gorgeous pearls! I still say you go to the jewelers and ask if you can get one set in a simple white gold setting. it's surprising how many jewelers do custom work for not much money. As long as they don't have to make a mold, it is usually very reasonable.

Tara, that is a great bribe there! I would've taken them up on it. I used to play volleyball but I am not all that good so I forget how the scoring works. Enjoy that comp time when you get to use it

Todd, ooohh sleepin' in huh! I bet the little ones really enjoyed their "special" ride into school today. March Madness, eek! This means that our "Friday Date Night" bar dinner location will be crowded. Oh well, we will just have to suffer...or better yet contribute to the local churches who hose fish fries (of which I never eat the fish--only side dishes served). Mother likes the fish fries, maybe we will treat her today.

Can't talk clothing stores, never can find anything anywhere to fit me the way I'd like.

Sherry, whew! That is sure some scary stuff and so sad the family had to find the car not PD. I would absolutely be scarred for life. Still glad that he is ok to be talking about it all.

Tara, what a good bribe! I've heard VB rules have changed dramatically and that points are given at each play now. Games to 25 and lots of speedy games. Enjoy your reward. Stay well and hope the meds work.

Beth, so glad you are able to pop in between jobs. You are so busy. I hope you are enjoying the busy and it isn't overwhelming you.

Paula, how do you feel about the new hairs today? I'm with you about never getting mine to look like when I left the shop.

Long story: Thanks to all for well wishes even if I didn't mention my exact need. I love ya all! It's annual physical time 2 weeks ago start with PCP and I am doing the "parade" through the system. So, last weekend I have a mamo apt (Sat.) and get all ready to be "flattened." I give up my Saturday a.m. walk to make the 9:00 a.m. apt. Get there and I am told that my insurance will not cover it b/c it is not a year since my last apt. Well, I don't exactly remember the date that is why I personally waited during the week after my PCP apt to make this apt. so they could check the date. OK, well nothing to be done about it, so make another apt. and off I go to walk in the park instead. I get a call as I am driving from home to call the center right away. So, I pull off the road, make the call. I am told the date they gave me is still b4 the year. What the....? So I say I will call back when I get home after my walk. (Still need to do it, just hate the hassle.) Now also included in this was a new need for biopsy even b4 PAP test results are in b/c of other issues. So, last week Thurs I go to this apt, ready for the procedure. (I've had a couple of these already and know what to expect, yech.) Oh, but not this time. New gyno doc says he doesn't do the procedure on the 1st visit. I must return after I p/u script for pain med. Yes the procedure is painful...I've done it w/o meds 3X b4; let's get it over w/. Nope. I must go to the pharmacy, wait in line for the script, get ONE pain pill and this is supposed to do the trick! If this isn't the strangest thing I've EVER heard. So have it done yesterday. It hurt and the one pill didn't seem to stop that pain (go figure). Doc seemed to think the "harvest" looked good and was a good sign of no problem. I'm going with that even if I still have to wait for results. I have to see him again next 2 wks, but I'm not worried. Have the esophagus thing still going on and the new meds I’m taking for 1 ½ wks are not helping and I don't like the side effects I am getting from these. Not horrible, but if the meds not doing much, I am ready to ditch it. I don’t like taking meds as most don’t work or I have reactions to them and can’t take ‘em. I will be patient and wait out til the end of month and discuss though I guess. So, that’s my life just now and thanks for your support.

Tomorrow I walk my stress away with a 10-mile stroll. That is the most b4 the half on the 1st. I so look forward to spending a couple of hours walking around this weekend. I won’t be doing a fast pace or anything, so I really will be enjoying it. Going to visit my friends in the 100+ acre wood.

Ok, Ok, I know you all want to know what my ID means. Well, Deena(4greatboys) and I are good friends. She is a great person, and I had the pleasure of meeting her in Oct., and hanging with her and her family. It started out as kinda a joke, cause y'all know by now that I have disappeared a lot. LOL!!! Maybe one of these days I will learn to keep my mouth shut, but it's so hard to do that when you have the gift of being outspoken.

Ethan got up with a much lower temp today. Mom doesn't feel like committing harry karry (how do you spell that??) today so that is a big plus!! I still am not sick..so I'm avoiding my house still!! However, with the 70+ temp today my mom is opening the windows and spraying everything with Lysol.

Hi y'all! Been lazing around most of the morning, but I finally decided to get up and attempt to make a chocolate cake recipe into a lemon cake. Why would I do that? Eh, don't ask, I just wanted to try it. Of course I am fresh out of lemon juice (knew I needed more) so I decided to do the test run with lime. If I like the taste of it, I'll switch it to lemon If not, I'll just make it chocolate

Todd, I assume you are referring to OSU baketball there? I am sooo dang proud of those boys!
Oh and oddly enough the spider scene in ROTK doesn't get to me near as much. It doesn't look as much like a spider and as long as I don't get much of a full shot of it (only a combined 10 seconds of that) I'm okay. I keep telling myself that's an orc-type being... not a spider

Nancy, how did the vet go? Oh and I love the bottom one! I am just not as keen on the leafy thing. I think the bottom one is much more "business" looking to me. Where did you find it? I think it is postively a gorgeous pearl!

Cake turned out fine... even as a lime flavored. I will do it again tomorrow before I go over to Dawn's. I need to get some lemon juice first. Lime is good, but I like lemon more

As for OSU, that has to do more with our previous POS coach, O'Brien. I couldn't stand that guy and he could possibly mess things up for these boys who have done nothing wrong at all. He was a waste for OSU.

Nancy, is the pearl from a jeweler? Or just some place online? I am only curious because any time I have bought a necklace, I have always needed a shorter chain. They can either add to a chain at all stores or exchange for a different size. Last time we just flipped sizes and I got a better quality chain for the same price (just 2 inches shorter).

Howdy, all!

Day from you-know-where today. I made the mistake of taking the cortisone on an empty stomach, as I was told no food after midnight. I'd already had the bad headache. Within 5 minutes, I was not doing well. Drove the boys to school and had to stop twice. Came back home and showered, then headed out to the appointment. Stopped twice (kinda fun driving, let me tell you!). Had a few more episodes during the echo and stress tests. The ladies administering the tests were absolute dolls and worked with me.

Got home w/o incident, but still feeling nasty, so I went right back to bed. Tried some tylenol, but it didn't work. Finally, called the pharmacist to see if I could take Imitrex. It's taken the edge off. It's been a miserable, yucky day. I'm hungry but afraid to eat. Ed was kind enough to go pick the boys up, and get them GOF. They holed up in Kevin's room to watch, so as to not wake me up.

Looks like a busy day with the ya ya's!

Nancy, I like the white gold one in the picture of two necklaces. Dunno about M'cori, diamonds are better when they're bigger, IMO! (gee, maybe that's why I don't have many, lol!)

Lily, ugh. I think I can relate to your day! I'm doing all the tests because I'll be 40 this year and Mom's passing really hit me that I have to take care of myself. Didn't get the cuppa, but I will when I go back for preop testing.

Tony, and I thought Deena loved chocolate...love child works for me!

Todd, rear projection HD-ILA TV. Our picture was flashing and the color was coming in and out so they came out and replaced the lamp. Thank God for warranties.
