Woo hoo on the sink! If you said it, I forgot sorry about the diswasher though. We had a minor bit of damage done to our range though. Fortunately they just gave us some enamel and about $75 or so off he price. A few touch ups later and I was able to make it nearly impossible for anyone to tell it had been banged around. I remember though, the thought of waiting another week was going to kill me.

Stomach is bugging me today. Most likely the large amounts of greasy food I had last night. So I am going to try to finish up the vacuuming, attempt an easy bike and then take it easy the rest of hte day.

Jarrod is much better. He never woke up last night and his fever is gone this morning!! He ate a little bit of breakfast, but not much. Mom actually gave him his adhd med!! He certainly hasn't needed it the last two days. He should be able to go back to school tomorrow.

Mom woke up with such a severe sinus headache that she hasn't really paid too much attention to the fact that her chest feels like a 500lb man is sitting on it!! lol! Ethan is coughing but not running a fever! yeah!! I was supposed to go out to dinner tonight to a realy nice restaurant with some friends but I'm going home right after tutoring instead so that I can releive my mom!!

Dentist was fine - just a cleaning....went to the post office and home just in time for the Schwans delivery!!

Tara - I'm so glad to hear that Jarrod is better today - hope you Mom feels better quickly and Ethan doesn't get worse and of course that it all stays away from you....

Elaine - I know that greasy food feeling....it always looks so appealing.....then out stomachs pay for it.

Oh Kimmie, I forgot to say thanks for letting me know what the fortunes were like. Luis didn't get any in his jeans either. Wonder if our store just doesn't have them. I would imagine they would fall out quickly

Paula, glad that the dentist wasn't so bad. I hate going myself. You are right with the stomach paying for the food! We are going out tonight and I think I'll go with a light sandwhich instead

Our house was built 20 years ago also, Lily....and so the need for some re-dos.

Another 20 year old house here. Just replaced the family room carpet, repainted the walls, painted the ceiling (for the first time), and spruced up (or should I say pine'd up) the fireplace mantel.

Now if I could just get that pesky siding white again and replace that rotten front porch post...

Oh. The fortunes. I dunno Elaine. Strange. Maybe it's a matter of which stores sell them. Got mine at a Buckle. Oddly enough they don't fall out either. I wash mine with the fortunes in the pockets and they are still there same as day one. They're made out of some sort of paper looking fiber... or maybe it's a plastic? Hard to tell.

House face lifts. Oye. Next project here is tile on the floor. Eeeep! Tom is planning to do it himself. Help meeee!

Kimmie, we got ours at the Lucky brand store itself. They had the ultimate selection there of everything. The buckle store here scares me
I wonder if that is a Buckle thing or if it is a Lucky thing. Who knows... eh, I still love my jeans and they are breaking in nicely.

Todd, I thought I was told to avoid the 4th one due to the classroom scene towards the beginning. I know they were also briefly in three.

Back from dinner, nice time, nice guy I think a show we are watching is about to come on, so I'm off!

Well, all is not well here...Jarrod went to bed with a 100.3 fever, Mom is running a 102.6 fever and Ethan had a 102.8 fever Jar's dad came home tonight so he is going to take Jar tomorrow morning and then mom and ethan will take tylenol and motrin and sleep all day. That way I can go to work (mom told me that she would be fine keeping him because as a mom she's never had time to be sick anyway!! lol! ) I feel bad, but I also know what we are looking at. A kid in Jar's class has scarlet fever and is out of school right now. The peds said not to worry about it b/c the kid should be at home anyway.

I'm willing Jack to stay away. Its this kind of stress that brings him on. If he comes back I'll be looking for that Cheetohing!! I won't mind being orange!! hehehe

My house is over 40 years old. This neighborhood is celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer. Its pretty cool because my grandfather bought one of the first houses built in this neighborhood and my mom lived just a few streets over when she was in high school. In the redo dept. my house needs new everything!! But that would mean having to declutter the house!

Yay!! for sinks, new flooring, etc.
I need to paint...before the carpeting goes in.
Too much too do and I want it all done by July when we have the troops arrive.
Glad dentist was only for cleaning.
And yes, there is a spider in Goblet of Fire......in class, jumping all over. Elaine will NOT like that part!!

Shopping was fun....but it always is
The couple of seconds I had the croc sandals on, they felt wonderful!!
Got them in red......Christin was buying and she couldn't until the end of the day, so I have to wait until next week to get them from her. Gotta love the discount. For March only they are getting a 30% one!
Also got another pair of the Beach ones in light blue.
Kathy got the sandals in lime green....think I should have??
And after our experience at IOA, Elaine.....we each got a couple pair of nylon shorts
So......4 pair of crocs (got Dave some too) and 5 pair of shorts and $157. Not too bad.
No luck on the water bottles....must do more research on those.

Morning all! Really feel like crawling back in bed... just a gloomy day out but it is supposed to reach about 65° today (it's already 50)

Tara, I am so sorry that everyone is that bad off I hope the fevers and everything leave everyone real soon!

We have a lot to redo in the house too. The carpet right now is the first that needs to go! That would be a whole other battle though. We have hard wood beneath... I love hard wood

Glad you had a good time shopping Nancy! You have me thinking about the nylon shorts!!! Smart move! Maybe I'll have to hunt down those Crocs. I have had zero luck getting any of them to fit!

Sherry, I feel about the same way you do today I guess!

Maybe soon I'll find motivation... and I have errands to run today at some point.

Morning....

Anyone want 4 house guests for a week????? The hardwood floor company will be in our house for 2 weeks. Of that 2 weeks we will have to be out of the house a week since we don't have a bathroom in the basement and that is the only way into the house once they start staining/coating the floor and it will take a week to complete that process. I really wanted the floors done soon, but looks like it won't be till June when we go on vacation. If only we could decided where to go on vacation. I think we may be heading to Virginia Beach. Still not sure though. Should get the floor pricing today, if not then tomorrow. I think I will be able to get everything I want done. Although I would love to do the stairs and upstairs hall, don't see that happening....there will just have to be 2 shades of wood when it comes to the hall area (floor and stair spindles).

Tara....I hope you stay well and everyone else recovers quickly.

Got a call from my mom this morning. My brother was at a Drive-Thru in Cleveland, and someone busted him in the face with a beer bottle. He has bruises and cuts and a busted lip. Worst part is, they got his car and cell phone, too. This is the second time his car has been stolen. My mom and him are headed to the Cleveland PD and they think they might be able to get his car back. A witness knows the guy that took the car, I guess. I only got a short version of the story as they were heading to Cleveland. I can't believe this is happening to my brother again.

Sherry, eek! Glad that DB is ok, but OMG that is horrible one time, and to have another expreience is unthinkable. Hope it gets resolved quickly.

Amanda, are you all going camping then? Seems like a logistics problem for sure. So how about going to your favorite SIL then! Bonding time.

DS felt a little better last night. He is at 6 weeks this Monday and doc said he would remove everything at that time. He sees doc Mon. and hopefully will be promptly scheduled for the removal. So far this "adventure" has cost him $1,000 in medical bills (co-pay) and 8 weeks lost work. He will not be permitted to return until the 1st of April. I've got doc apt. this p.m. for what I needed to have done last week, but he just wanted me to have the "benefit" of pain med (1 capsule) so now I have the med, will dutifully take it so the procedure (that I have had done 3 Xs previously w/o the pain med) can be finally done. Ahhhh the fun!

Project....I need a birthday present for M'Cori. I was hoping for a single black pearl on a white gold chain....no diamonds, no earrings. Seems impossible to find. The only one out of 7 jewelry stores was over my budget....so moving on to something else.
Preferably a necklace that will go with suits and professinal clothes once she starts working.

I've called the ped to see if they can call something in for E so I don't have to take him in. The nurse said she would see what the doc would do. I'm hoping that she takes pity on me and calls it in.

its funny, i moved one of my trouble making kids from my second bell to my first bell and now he is so pleasant. I felt that if I moved him away from some of the other goons he might be able to straighten up and wouldn't you know it! He is now acting like a very polite young man!! Woohoo!!

I've got to grade papers while they do their silent reading so I'm going to do that now. I'll be back later.
