I'll give one up free, too. I think we need to change OCD meds...ugh, perseverating on garbage stuff.

Had the inlaws over, got to take a spin in their new minivan. Honda Odyssey, and it's very nice. I've always liked Honda's and this is no exception. We were teasing SIL that we were going to borrow it to head to Atlanta for an Ikea run!

Back later-my hard drive showed up from HP, however, it's giving me the same error message. I can see how the old drive toasted. What I didn't do is double check the jumpers before I put the new drive in-I'll bet that is why this one isn't working.

Lainey, I'm not good about pulling data off drives. I can do about 90% of my own stuff (and usually save my employers service calls, lol) but that I can't do. The guy I'm sending it to will probably give me a hard time about what's in the iTunes folder, but won't do anything else.

Amanda I meant to say Im sorry you had to go through that with Mandy the other night. I know exactly what you are talking about. Bad thing is mine that is doing that is 12. Why dont they realize if they would just stop the whining and crying that they would get their homework done and it would be over? I just dont get it. Do you have an agenda you have to sign also? Both my boys do even the youngest in second grade. We have to sign off on it every night and they are checked by the teachers.

Morning!

Helping BIL & SIL move today. Junior, 2 of the boys, and other BIL is already off to pick up the moving truck. SIL is picking me & the 2 other boys up in about an hour to head to the store to get some hot dogs and stuff for everyone to eat, then to help unpack and move stuff. At least we have nice weather for it. Gonna be 51 today.

I'm in the process of copying CDs for tongiht and next week. People wanted Latin, and I totally forgot how much we own on CD. Listening ot my iPod right now to see if some are worth putting in. I need to go buy more blank CDs though

HI everyone - sorry that I have been MIA...

Thursday night the stomach flu hit me like a mack truck!! Horrible stomach pains - chills - etc. I actually logged off early from work and went to bed. Slept most of the day yesterday - got dressed to go to Chris counsellors appt at 5pm. Still feeling a bit weak this morning.

About Chris - we should have his grades this week. I brought his initial asesment to the counselor to review - since there was an IQ test dome then - counselor did not feel it necessary to do another - he tested in average range. So the object now is to work on getting Chris motivated. Chris says he finally sees that he needs to work hard and he is ready to turn things around. He thinks he is too smart for the program he is in - so I told him that instead of "just doing what needed to get by - prove how smart you are". We discissed the fact that he does not have any language classes (he failed Spanish and a previous counselor suggested that he drop out of the class) - that will prevent him from getting into most colleges - counselor suggested he take the class at a local community college to get the credits - DH thinks we should make him pay for it to show his commitment - I kind of agree. I am really afraid that his just doing what is necesary to get by and his laid back attitude is not going to get him thru college - but aain - I try to be positive and supportive. I am also trying to encourage him to join the golf team - something he has never done but his friend is on it and his favorite teacher is the coach.

Speaking of my husband at his brother's- he'll be seeing his brothers new Harley for the firs time - I told him not to drool on it too much....

As for Chris, good luck... it's amazing what kids can do when they need to though in order to more than "get buy" I think if I weren't so lazy I could've done better in college... I did make Dean's List when I wanted to. But since I graduated with a 2.9 you can imagine that I only tried about hafl the time

Evening, Ya Yas! Been a busy couple of days getting the last of the stuff out of the old place and all. Took my car for its annual safety inspection the other day and it flunked. I had a feeling that little crack in the windshield I got from getting hit with road gravel would'nt pass. sure enough, ended up spending most of yesterday morning getting a new windshield. Sigh....wonder how much the car insurance is gonna go up, now?!

I am really ticked at Molly Maid right now. I called around and got quotes on cleaning services for a move-out cleaning from several places. I liked what I heard from Molly Maid and since she told me that I needed to schedule 2 days ahead, I called Thursday morning. The girl took all the info, we agreed they might need an extra hour since it would only be a 2-person team and I had to give my credit card to hold the reservation for Saturday. She took my home number, my cell number and Dave's cell number and said they would call back on Friday to let us know what time the team would be there. No call! At 5PM last night, I got just an answering machine, so I left a message. Still no call all evening so I called again just before I left for work. Answering machine again! Now, I'm Told Dave that if we didn't hear from them by 3 this afternoon, we'd see if we could get somebody else. Nobody returned my call and Dave never saw them while he was over there today. He tells me HE called several times today, too! I better not find out they've charged my credit card, that's all I can say!!

Hey, Tina!!! Good to see you again!! Sure have missed you 'round here! I know what you mean about having to recover from having company, though. Hope you can stop in for a chat more often.

Dave is helping with dinner, tonight. I think I'd better go check on things. I'll be back later, between laundry loads!

Move went well. They are pretty much all done. We unpacked almost everything and set everything up for them. Then when all that was done, we played some Texas Hold 'Em! They want us to come over today after church for dinner and some more poker.

Hey thanks gang!! It has been a good day...Jarrod made his own chocolate milk this morning...most of it ended up on the floor I just vaccummed last night and then he put the spoon he used back in the drawer...guess he thought I wouldn't realize he had done it

Then I opened my credit card statement to find out that even though i had cancelled the first ressie I made for the Nov trip, I had apparently waited too long and i was only credited $80 out of the $200 b/c I had waited longer than 14 days and I was charged for the insurance So I wasn't a happy camper!!

But hey my best friend called early this morning (and we may try to work out a cruise this summer for our 25th anniversary). She also sent me an adorable friendship statue.

Then the kids were very good and I got to sit and cross stitch and catch up on the tv shows I have recorded. Soo woohoo!!

Now at 5:30 I will be leaving to go have dinner at the Melting Pot with my mom, my dsil, Astrid, my girlfriend from NC, and some people from work!! There are 7 of us at a table for 8 so we will be able to have two fondue pots and get to experience more good stuff!!

So overall it is a great day!! Hope everyone else is having a good day. Gotta go vaccum before the sitter gets here and get a shower!!
