Hi Kimmar!

Oh I am actually going to say this here just in case... I am giving away a lot of my old clothes that no longer fit. I have some really nice dresses that I no longer can fit into. Two are size 6s (one is silk and indigo, the other black from Ann Taylor Loft) and one is a size 4 (though a big one) that is mostly black with some floral. Each retailed for quite a bit of money, and no, I don't feel like selling on e-bay, but before I just give them away, if any one can use any of those, let me know. Especially the indigo silk. I loved that dress!

slow day around here, huh?

I wanted to go to bed early last night-I was tired. Ed wanted to stay up. Guess who fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 11:45 and said it was time to pack it in?

Had work, want to go to a movie, but not sure if we'll get done with dinner in enough time.

Howdy to the YaYa clan! Busy time of year isn't it? Lots of birthdays here in addition to the usual holidays. Have also had two sick guys schleping around the house. Ho hum.

Happy New Year, Ya Ya Family!!!!! Been a very busy weekend around here, with the packing and moving.

Today is our 5th anniversary, so we did the flowers for the altar at church and celebrated by going out for both lunch AND dinner!! Of course, the fact that 1/2 the kitchen is already moved to the new place and the other half is still here might have something to do with that. Dave got the drapes up in the bedroom, so we moved the bed and most of our clothes over today and will be sleeping there tonight. The computer won't get moved until tomorrow but won't get hooked up to the cable until after 3 on Tuesday. Phone will get changed on Tuesday, too, and Dave even got to pick out our new phone number! He picked one that is very easy to remember, thank goodness.

I caught some of Dick Clark last night too--so very, very sad to hear his speech problems. But, ya'll are so right--what is New Year's Eve without him?!! So glad he was well enough and brave enough to come back and contribute what he could to the show.

Must get back to work so I can get to bed at a decent hour. Regular work day for me tomorrow and Dave is in charge of overseeing the movers, since he has the day off. If I can get at the computer at work, I'll check in with ya'll. If not, I'll "see" ya'll once we get the 'puter set up and working at the new place! What a great day I had today. Started off by going to church and the sermon was awesome. It hit home a lot. Came home and cleaned, took my youngest to the store to get stuff for a project he needed to do. He and I worked on it and his snowman came out awesome. Eldest ds did his studying for midterms in math without too much hassle. Took a nice shower, sat in my quiet spot listening to the kids playing a game of Yu-gi-oh or should I say dueling LOL. Dh made a nice dinner and now Im relaxing for a bit before I put the kids to bed. They have school tomorrow but dh and I are home. It will be nice to have some quiet time with my honey.

Okay, I admit, I haven't watched Dick Clark in ages... I'm usually watching someone else on NYE... and last night I watched all of 90 seconds of the show... guess I'm a wee bit un-American Though it's sad to hear other say how bad Dick Clarck has gotten.

We had a fun night last night. Had our friends and there 3 boys spend the night. Hung out eating pizza, watching movies, and just hanging out and laughing all night.

this is the first time I've had the ocmputer on all day.

We had a nice NYE...Dinner at the Japanese steak house...both kids were angels....I couldn't believe it!! They both even ate their dinner!!

Then home to play yatzee until 130. We had it on the different stations watching NY but decided that it was too sad to hear dick clark.

Did nothing today, napped, ate fudge, played yatzee and then ate more fudge.

Getting ready for bed now. We are going to the Virginia Living Museum tomorrow. So that will be a nice day.

I'll check in tomorrow night!!

Oh, and Happy Anniversary Dave and Beth!! Woohoo!!

Oh, and Elaine...a size 6 huh??? maybe that can be what I work for in the year 2007!!! hehehe

But then I don't think I have stayed up until midnight in a few years

Accck Im still up and I have to get ds up in a little more than 2.5 hours. I did too much today and my back and leg went wonkus on me so I took the pain med the doctor gave me and put the brace back on. I have noticed that when I take the pain med I have more trouble sleeping. Found out why tonight when I looked up the med. It has CAFFINE in it! What the heck possesed my doctor to give me that when he knows the ONLY time I use it is AT NIGHT. Not a happy campy. Im gonna have to call him on Tuesday. Oh well. I guess I will read the boards until its time to get ds up unless I get sleepy.

Karen, bummer. Caffeine only seems to work on me if it's in coffee, so that wouldn't do the slightest to keep me up.

Cross your fingers-vascular doc on Wednesday. Got a developing clot in my leg-it's funny how after a couple I can tell very early. Bad part is that I think this means I'll be on blood thinners full time now. It may speed up that surgery in Hawaii, too.

From what everyone's saying, I guess it's a good thing we had no TV-Dick Clark IS new year's eve to us.

Nancy, does Christin have your baking abilities? She'll love that kitchenaid!

Tara, good deal on the kids eating everything. Even the veggies?

I had to work yesterday. Opened my store at 11am, the usual mall Sunday open time. Mall concierge came through at 11:15 and asked if we got the memo-Mall was opening at 12, so close the gate! (not easy to do, I had browsers!). So I figured I would use the tiime to take out trash and open stuff. I was at my back door taking trash out, and the concierge guy walked by and said I didn't want to do that-it meant I would spend the whole year doing that! I thought fast and said that means I'll spend the year cleaning up-and that was fine.

Well, I'm starting off the new year right!! OMG, I think Tara may be having a leetle too much influence on me. Only me and one other girl to open the store this morning. Manager has been having fits because we haven't been going to the bank first thing every morning. So, I grab the deposit, notice that we need singles, too, and grab the petty cash. Walk out of the office, closing the door (to keep the cash drawers safe, of course!), grab my coat and co-worker to go. Realize I've left my purse in the office, turn around to get it and realize I've also left my keys on the desk. IN the office, which is locked, of course!! DANG!!! Call another member of management and ask if I can borrow her key when we go to the bank. Sure, no problem! So, we get our coats and I remember, today is a holiday and the banks are all closed! Oh well, we still need to get the key. Start out the door and realize, I don't have a key to lock the store up behind me and I certainly can't leave it unlocked!!! DUH!!! So, here I sit, unable to get into the office to even get the cash drawers out for the registers, can't turn on the radio, can't really do much of anything except look at the deposit and the $200 for change that I can't take to the bank. Oye......I think I need to go back to bed and start over! Hope ya'll have a better Monday than I'm having!
