Have a good flight and lots of fun at Mickey's Place! :goodvibes

Save a place for me on the Small World Boat! :yay: :rotfl:

Morning,

Im here too. The cat decided to stand on my chest and cry for her breakfast this morning. I hope this doesnt become a morning ritual LOL!

Elaine have a wonderful and safe trip. Give Nancy and Mickey a hug for me!

Today is our first Sunday of not doing Kids Church. Its gonna be weird.

Good morning, all!

Now that Elaine is gone, we can all talk about her. Woot woot.

Karen

Just letting everyone know that Elaine has touched down in Orlando.

Morning!

Happy Birthday, Elaine. :) Sure picked a perfect time to get out of Ohio. :teeth:

Got a new laptop yesterday with our tax refund. :woohoo: Gotta work on getting all my stuff on it.

We have family and friends coming over tonight to watch the Super Bowl. Gonna order some pizza and wings. I stayed home from church to clean up the house.

Happy Sunday all.....

After quite a week the past 2 days have been pretty good. Chris counselling sessions continue to go well - he and I went to Sunway afterwards on Friday night. We ahve been having alot of "deep conversations".....some that totally shock me - some that I really rather wish I never had - some that make me kick myself saying "how could I be so stupid and not know"...but -he talks - I llisten - practice very good self restraint - don't over-react and things go well. I told him taht as a parent we all have this perfect world crated for our children - they are perffect - have perfect friends - do evrything right - no "experimenting" - etc - but that's not the reality of it at all. Oh yeah - he did say that if he had a girlfriend that did not like his smoking he would quit ....gotta work on that - lol. He and my husband have been working on the truck - seem to be getting along a bit better Report cards came - he passed all but gym and art....says his goal for next quarter is high honors!!!!
I had a grat day yesterday - my sister in law and I went to Providence - got our Phantom of the Opera tickets and she also got tickets to Monster Jam....today is her birthday so I took her out to eat to Cheesecake Factory. Went to church with my dad then made chicken parm for supper - after dinner Chris asked to "watch Cops like when I as little" which I thought was so cute - I also caught the tail end of Gilmore Girls (yup I love that show). This morning went grocery shopping....now have to work 12-5pm.

Glad to hear that Elaine got to Orlando saftely....
Sherry - congrats on the new laptop!!
JR Karen - looking forward to finishing up reading your reports.
Beth - is that a standing invite?? Never know when I might show up!! Specially if you are foffering the favorite blankie!!
Hi Suzanne - I love hot Topic Too - my kids are very proud of me for going in there and not "gawking".
Karen - think you for the kinds words and offer to talk to Chris - I will keep you in mind for sure - best of luck with your changes in church activities.

WE Pats fans don't care that today is the Superbowl,,,,,,we'll watch but we won't enjoy it.....

Hugs all around!!

I would have done the same thing, given the chance. I seem to remember making William Shatner raise his eyebrows and grin back in 1975 when I yelled "my place or yours" from the 3rd row.
:rotfl:

Run and grope.... check! Will do. Or perhaps I should be more prepared to Grope and Run? :p

I am sure that Apolo can feel her love
Poor guy. Snicker. :p

Thanks Luis. Hope she has a great time!

he talks - I llisten - practice very good self restraint - don't over-react and things go well.
Ah, my biggest challenge. I MUST get better at that "listening and not over reacting thing". Sigh. Good for you Paula and thank you for the little unintended reminder concerning something I need to work on. Hmm... perhaps I should re invest in some duct tape?

 Paula It sounds likes you are on the right track with Chris. And you are right - trust me - the "nice, good" kids that you always wished your kids would hang out with sometimes end up being the sneakiest, worse group of all. DD sat me down once and gave me the lowdown on some of these "saints" and I just about :faint:!!!

Kim - if we hurry, we can get our flights for the Olympics and I will teach you Groping Of Speedskaters 101! :teeth: We will let Beth come along as the TA (Teacher's Assistant)

JRKaren - I am telling Elaine what you said! :furious:

Luis, glad her plane arrived in FL, I was wondering if this storm storm would delay her.

Karen - sounds like a break from Kids Church is a good idea.

Sherry - yahoo on the new laptop! I hope to get one sometime this year!!

Oh and:

GO STEELERS! COME ON BUS!!! GO TROY! YEAH BEN!!! WOOHOO PORTER, PARKER, FOOTE, HOPE, HOKE. OH YEAH BABEEEE.... HINES WARD! GO HEATH! :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc :bounce: :jumping1: party: :dumbo: :goofy: :tigger: :donald: :mickeyjum

ONE FOR THE THUMB! :thumbsup2

Hey All,

Im glad to hear that Elaine got to Orlando alright. I hope she has a Blast in WDW.

I have to admit it was weird not doing Kids Church but it was nice to get up later for church, not have to rush the kids out the door to get there early, and just walk into church without having to watch the clock in the multipurpose room trying to get everything ready in time. Today we just got up a little later, got ready, and walked into church. There was a song sung at church today that just hit my heart. I will have to talk to Pastor Chris to find out the name and who recorded it. Dh and I went to our bible study and it was really nice. We were welcomed with open arms. It was a more relaxed Sunday which is something I need. Ive been told to take more time for myself also which is something Im trying to do. Hopefully I will be able to incorporate more of that in this week than I did last week.

Oh we got to see one of our friends son who is on leave from Afganistan. It was so good to see him. He comes home for good in July. May God keep him safe until he finally comes home.

Sherry congrats on the laptop!! Hopefully we will get to see more of you on the thread now.

Well I think Im gonna get the kidlets in bed and hit the hay myself 5 AM comes very early.

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

GO PITTSBURGH!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi gang,
Home from scrapping. Had a great time. Only got about 4 hours sleep each night. Came home a couple of hours early b/c I had such a bad headache. I think it is from being over tired. I got home and slept for 3 hours!!

I'm only here long enough to check email, post, and then I'm off to bed again!

I got 21 pages done. I have one spelling error! oops! no one has caught it yet, so maybe I'm okay!

I have one bit of jump in the air news. On friday, my mom put E on the potty after his bath and he actually went!! So Friday night while I was gone she noticed that he was "assuming the position" so she asked him if he wanted to go potty,he nodded, grunted and ran to it. She put him up on it and he was successful (in a big way if you know what I mean!!) So he is getting the hang of what the potty is for. Now he just has to start realizing when he needs to go and tell us. He is now where near "trained" but he is learning what it is all about!! Maybe by summer he will be out of diapers!!! woohoo!!

Anyway, glad Elaine has arrived safely. Haven't checked the pics yet of the boy, but I'll check and see if he is squeezeable!! Karen, glad you gave up some of your responsibilities..that should make life easier. How is the ferret? I keep forgetting to ask.
JRKaren..I'll check out thre trip report tomorrow. Beth, glad you didn't run into boy genius. Have fun! Paula, hope things are getting better for you.
Kimmar, Kimmie have fun with yoru boys from teh olypics.

Okay, gang gotta go, Head is pounding agin. Nothing a little sleep won't cure!!

hugs,
tara

:wave2: Tara - what does THIS mean?? [Kimmar, Kimmie have fun with yoru boys from teh olypics.]

Kimmar - you can come too - but we aren't booked first class on the plane, so you'll have to pay for all of your drinks...... :rotfl:

YEA!!! :cheer2: My Steelers won! DD was up for the game - she ended up staying here tonight as well as the police shut down all the streets where she lives because of the celebrating of the college students! She wouldn't have been able to get back to her apartment, all the streets, including the one she lives on is closed! :faint:

And it is really snowing here - and the wind is blowing!

Go Steelers!! :woohoo: WooHoo! One for the thumb! :thumbsup2

Morning!!

Got more snow over night. Blech!!

Hey Kimmie!! Didja see the new Apolo Arch cards at McD's? :teeth:

Pam, congrats to your Steelers!! I'm happy The Bus finally got a ring. :bounce:

Morning, all!

Gotta get the kids off to school in a few, then go to the Rheumatologist today to get test results.

Happy people in yaya land, woohoo! I went grocery shopping while the game was on-place had more employees than shoppers, lol. Later this week is when the sport stuff gets going for us-Speedweeks at Daytona.

Headed over to WDW tomorrow for a date with a yeti (and a yaya)! :thumbsup2

I'll check back in later.

Suzanne

Sherry - yeah, I was thrilled that Jerome got that ring, too! :cheer2: I was hoping that he would get a TD, but I'm so happy that we won!!1

Suzanne - there was no traffic on the roads up here until around 11:00 pm! I think we all hibernated in our homes, glued to the TV and clutching our hearts at time! :teeth:

Blech is right about that snow, Sherry. We got quite a lot - plus it's very windy and blustery and the wind chill is cutting to the bone. :guilty: But we had such a mild January that we were expecting this.

Morning all.....

Happy Be-lated Birthday! Glad you arrived safely.

Busy weekend, but nice. Tried an aqua areobics class Saturday. Probably shouldn't have done that after 1 mile on treadmill then weights. I felt it yesterday and still feeling it today. Good thing is I am feeling it in the abs.

Company came over last night....was nice to see Todd's best friend and his daughter.

Tara...great news on the potty training.

Beth...sorry for the yuck work you ended up with.

Well...gotta work

Good morning! :sunny: is up and so am I. Dave is still "sawing logs" since he moves to late shift for February, starting today. He has very kindly shared his cold germs with me and I can feel them working on my throat. Going to hit the grocery on the way to work and pick up some OJ.

Our living room TV gave up the ghost yesterday morning. Thank goodness we had another in the spare room or Dave would have been climbing walls within an hour of coming home from church!! Looks like our tax refund will be purchasing a new TV instead of the desk and storage system for my scrapping room.

Awwww, Pammy, thanks for letting me come along for Groping of Speedskaters 101! And don't worry about the drinks, I'll fill all our sports bottles and we can just tell everybody it's fruit juice! :teeth: We should be well "juiced" by the time we get to Torino!

Whoo-hooo, Sherry! Congrats on the laptop! Hope you'll be able to drop in more often and visit more. How are your guys doing in school this year? Let's see, you still have one in elementary or is he middle school now? Or wait, does your area have middle school or jr. high? How's the high school thing going? I've missed hearing about your boys, can you tell?! How is Junior doing, back at work? Is he still fighting his diet?

Tara, sounds like you had a VERY productive weekend! Sorry you lost so much sleep and ended up with the headache, though. And congrats on Ethan's progress!!! Whoo-hooo, that's GREAT news!

Good luck at the Dr. today, Suzanne. Is this the one you discuss the Hawaii trip with? Have a great time at WDW tomorrow and give those YaYas a hug from me!

Gotta head on out to work, now. Ding-a-ling practice tonight, so I probably won't "see" ya'll again till tomorrow. Have a great day, everyone!! :grouphug:

Wooooo!!! Got pen and paper and am ready to go! What's lesson #1 Pam and Beth? Hmmm...I suppose catching the buggers might be a challenge... any ideas on how to head'em off at the pass? Perhaps Kimmar and I could practice some herding and roping skills!

Juice! Good idea! Nice healthy... uh, "juice"! :teeth: Help keep the strength up for those long sprints when they manage to get a head start on us.

Hi Sherry! I haven't seen them with my own beady little eyes, but I saw a picture. I need one! :p

Yay for Ethan! :cheer2:

Dang, I think I need to learn to speed skate.

True, I don't think that my body in spandex would produce quite the same reaction as your hot bladed hunks, but I skate much slower so at least I'm catchable. :teeth:
