back from bowling and eating a bowl of ice cream. This summer is killing me with the ice cream!!

Elaine...glad you got something good for dinner (not sure what kind of pizza that is but it sounded good ) and mean mommies are good sometimes!! Sorry you haven't had much time to knit but it is hard to do in the summer months!

Me...well I bowled 2 good games (148 and 142) and one lousy game (100) So my team won two games, and lost one game and total pins. We are still in first place!! yippee!! Oh and the payout is $100 per person on the team. So really that covers most of what we paid for the summer.

School...I have to be back on Aug. 25 but I will probably go back a little each day that week because I need to get my room preped and unpacked.

Okay, i'm going to look aroudn and bit and then go to bed. I'll check on yo all tomorrow night!!

Slept in again this morning and have a lot to do in the 3 1/2 hours left before I need to be at work. Gotta pack, pay end of the month bills, run to the bank, to the post office, to Target and the mall! Doing last minute laundry, too!! Whew!!! Got the haunted houses done for our fall open house yesterday and brought them in to work. Should have seen the crowd that gathered!!! they came out really well and I will try and get a pic of them tonight. Not allowed to put them on display until next weekend, but the almost all of the ladies who were there scrapping yesterday want to make them. I think that class will be a big seller, for sure.

So where is he looking to go to college? Has he decided on a major or does he just want to "test the waters" a bit and get a taste of everything before he decides?

Sorry the weather is making ya mope, Laine. Just remember Annie's song...."The sun'll come out, tomorrow" That should perk you up just fine!! No, really, I know what you mean about gloomy weather. My mom once told me it was the negative ions in the air that made us feel gloomy along with the weather. Don't know if that's true or just another momism, but heck, at least it sounds logical. Hope the sun does indeed come out for ya soon.

Oh, guess what happened last night? I was burning a Yankee Candle, trying to finish it off (it was almost gone anyway) and it exploded. There was wax all over my table, glass pieces, and it left a small burn mark on the table. I swear the craziest things happen in this house.
