Oh and Potomic Mills... how far from DC/Alexandria area is that? I swore I went there once with Luis and his family.

Potomac Mills is about 30 miles or so from Alexandria--not far at all. So you probably DID go there with Luis and his family!

I could definitely do Potomic Mills. Never been there but heard so much about it!!

No more Shockwave?? I LOVED that ride. My friend Jennifer and I once rode it 12 times in a row. I've ridden everything there I think...unless they added a couple after Volcano. Outerlimits was my favorite for a long time but it got too bumpy and killed my neck.
Derek likes rides....however...he can only do only like Volcano once every couple of hours. He gets sick on twisty turny loop rides...especially ones where his feet are dangling. Last time I was at Busch Gardens was probably 2000....but liked all the ones there too. OH......I can't do wooden coasters either. They smush and bruise "the girls" badly.

Just let me know when you'd like to head up this way, Kristy! I'm up for shopping just about anytime!! And I think May would be a wonderful time to hit Kings Dominion! School won't be out yet and it could very well be warm enough to enjoy the water rides and not freeze!! I don't like Outer Limits or the wooden coasters, either. Both give me such a headache!!! And I start the day with Dramamine because I get a little queasy from the loopy coasters too.

I bet we did go to Potomic Mills then... they were living even more south of Alexandria then and Luis said he needed to get some *real* shopping in. Probably would have had more fun if the in-laws hadn't been there

Well that CD holder is half put together... next time I am buying the one from Sharper Image that is electric too

I lived in VA for a year total (DH was in the Navy...we lived in Norfolk & VA Beach). I loved it there. Wish we could've stayed there. Loved BG, too. Had a blast there. We went for military day (FREE!!! ) and it was awesome.

I was supposed to clean house today, to get ready for our friends coming over on NYE, and the little boy I watch coming back on Monday. I didn't do jack. Well, I did do a few loads of laundry, but that is all. I'll probably end up doing a huge power cleaning on Tuesday night. I seem to clean best at the last minute. LOL

Yeah, and we could all stay at that motel right by KD!!!! OMG!!! Can you imagine the three of us together??!!! The motel would throw us out and Kings Dominion would never be the same. They'd probably ban us for life because we'd be checkin' out all the cute guys and their cute little behinds!!!!

Kings Dominion? Love the place...just barely tall enough for Shockwave, but they've got plenty of coasters for a coaster fan like me.

Kristy, I used to visit friends in Zebulon, but now they live near me in Warrenton. King's is owned by the same folks that run Carowinds.
I'm headed back down to Ikea this week to get another of their Billy bookcases. They hold DVDs and CDs nicely, and we filled up one with most of our DVDs, need another one for the 30 or so that are hanging out. I'm a little ocd when it comes to stuff like that...has to be alphabetized...same with the 45's( you don't want to know how many milk crates I have full of them )

Well, I'd ketchup more, but DH liked the daquiris, so I think I'm making some more. He's in watching one of his all time favorite cheesy movies, the Poseidon Adventure...into all those Irwin Allen movies.

C'mon Monday...then I have a day off. At least the returns haven't been TOO bad...but I did have a lady tell me it's illegal to sell something at 75% off, then two months later it's not on sale. Had to explain that the supermarkets have sales every week and she was getting confused about 'bait and switch'...oy!
