My mother died at 59, so my father was still around to take care of her while she was sick.
then he went and died 9 months later.

But, dealing with the insurance and estate and all wasn't fun....but not bad. I did have DH to help.

Not always... sometimes location doesn't let that happen and sometimes attitudes don't. I can tell you that when my mom was sick, my brother couldn't be there (he was in college) and well I wont' say much else because my familiy does read here... but no, I didn't have anyone to go to other than friends when dealing with most of that.

Hard for me to imagine that time coming...but then I also won't accept the fact that my grandmother will one day pass....she just can't....she keeps our family solid even when we bicker and fight.

Me and my sister have not always ben close....this is just over the past 13 years or so....my step sister once told me at the tender age of 16...."there are people in life that you get along with and others you don't...you just happen to be one of the people I don't get a long with" and we had lived together most of my life......so sometimes siblings are jsut a pain in the ****!!!!
But I am happy to report, step sibling and I do "get along" right now....I think she does it just for show!!!!! But hey, at least it is a step in the right direction!! I have a REAL hard time not getting along with people...even SIL!!!!

Thanks Kristy... the one that will kill me for a while will be when I lose my dad though. He'll be 60 this year... actually my mom's birthday was yesterday and she would have been 59...

Not that I don't get along with my family, but soemtimes they just aren't helpful in the way you'd hope. So don't get me wrong, my sister and I are fine a lot o ftimes, but not in that way.

It is always nice to be able to put a face with a name!!! I loved seeing Todd for the first time!!!! I think it is pretty cool to really have an image with the voice!!! And I love all of Kristy's awesome pics!!!
