Okay all, this one is bugging me... for anyone who is good at the Where in teh Worlds... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=505805 look about halfway down!

Suzanne, not all weddings have to be high in cost. I know mine was under $5K and we even had a full dinner buffet for the wedding (they seem to be very popular around here, buffets that is). My sister's was more but I noticed prices jumped in those 2-3 years since I did mine (same photographer was a few hundred more... as were all the ohters I had looked at). I will also say for my sister's wedding my $80 dress was the most expensive part. For Dawn's I think it iwll be the lodging at $250 for the weekend. Not terrible, but I think I'd rather no go for the whole weekend since it is only an hour away... but since I am doing more for it, I suppose I had better go

You reminded me, I tried the White Merlot by Sutter home and I thought it was smoother than their White Zin, but way too sweet!!! White Zins are too crisp & sweet sometimes for me... I like a fuller & smoother taste.

Liz, I am so glad that you are all packed up!!!! I love getting ready early, although for my summer trip that will be harder since I'll want to wear the clothes closer to the trip

Amanda, somehow I missed your post!! Funny I was looking into Chicago myself and realized I had enough points at starwood to stay at a Four Seasons all weekend. Might make me think about going quicker myself.

Skipping WDW for MI & Niagara???? Oh my... is he okay? I think if the girls can skip school, vacationing the week after Thanksgiving would be nice... wonderful time! I know with our schools to that the time between Thanksgiving and Winter Break really seems to be slow so even HS were able to cut out a bit during that time (extending TG or leaving early for Winter Break). Hopefully it will be easy for you to do with the girls at a younger age

Good morning, Ya Yas!! Nice to see all your bright and smiling posts this morning!!

Liz, that was one awesome run-on sentence!! Have a great time with the cute doc today!! And congrats on being all packed--4 weeks ahead of time!!! LOL!!! Are you just a wee bit excited about this trip, maybe??!!!

Pammie got snow for traction! We've had no precip. since the rain last week, but we still have plenty of soggy snow to melt. Lots of runoff and flooding during the day, which then ices up overnight. You know that song, I'm sure!! Actually was better than I expected this morning. And I've gotten smarter--here at the office, we have a pretty big parking lot and I always park at the far end so I get a little exercise. The lot is inclined DOWN to the building, so the runoff that has frozen covers the ENTIRE lot! Lately, I've taken to parking right in front of the building so I don't have to cross the ice. I'll get some more exercise when the ice is gone, thank you! So, no double or triple klutzes, not even a small spread eagle!

Amanda, MI and Niagara won't be near the fun as WDW is, but I bet the girls will learn something! And it's good to get away, no matter where it is! Looking forward to the year you decide to do the WDW trip right after T-giving. We go every year during that first week after Turkey Day and it's wonderful!!! You'll love it and there will be plenty of us down there with ya so we can have a great meet!! Now, you MUST try to find a couple minutes to discuss Chicago--we'd love to see you!!

Speaking of meet....I forgot to reply to Mary Jo who popped in yesterday! I saw Laine was going to PM her--did you give her our dates, Lainey? What fun to meet more Dissers when we are in Calif!!!

Hmmm.....Lainey, looks like you'll be able to schedule that Chicago trip!! Barring bridal shower conflict, that is. And I think my taste buds must be off or my memory, is. I'm thinking the White Zin is not as sweet as the White Merlot! Will find out soon, I did the grocery shopping this weekend. I'm not crazy about the sweet stuff, so I may be switching to Chardonnay.

Nancy, hope all goes well with your DH's voice. I don't know if you remember me mentioning my mom's voice, but she had laryngitis for a YEAR!! She had surgery a few months ago and her voice is sounding so much better everyday.

Ahhh... lunch break!! Eating some yummy beef stew for lunch I have to admit I am not to happy this afternoon... I have a nasty knot on my right shoulder. I've tried loosening it, but it won't give Hurts like a bugger too since it is right on my strap line.

Sherry, how are things with Junior's PT and all going? I hope he is improving I don't know if I've ever asked this, but I am curious... how did you get into babysitting for others while they work? I know very few people who do it like you do, and I think it is cool that there are ones out there like you to babysit

Just curious Lily, what type of diet are you using? I'm working on trying to lose some weight so I can fit into a few pairs of shorts for DL in July. It's only one size so hopefully I can do it

You know I've been thinking on that sweet thing... some sweets are kind of "relative" Like in diet drinks, one friend doesn't think they are any sweeter than the regular ones, but I think they are far sweeter in a way than regular. I wonder if my tongue picks some sweetness that yours doesn't. Not that they are off, but different. I admit I like Chardonnays for the most part, and also try a Reisling too! Not quite as sweet as a White Zin.

Sherry, I remember you talking about your mom's voice... I had no clue it was gone for a year though!!!

Hey now Kimmie, I haven't watched the movies a dozen times yet (closer to only 1/2 dozen I think)... it's all about attention to detail I have to say though, with your long hair, you don't need extentions!!!! Would be fun to try though

Mmm...beef stew....Bojangles...all sound so good. I started my diet today. I'm back on Atkins....well, sort of...its more like Atkins My Way!

Elaine, I started the private babysitting when a friend of the family needed a sitter and called and asked me if I'd be willing to do it. I agreed, and then other friends started asking and I just kinda started taking in their kids. Its not alot of extra $$, but it helps out and it still enables me to be home for the boys, so I am happy.
I did the babysitting thing for the county years ago, but moved and decided not to get re-certified. I prefer doing it privately with friends.

DH's therapy is going well. He should be back to work in a few weeks.

When we were at WDW, we ate at 50s Prime Time and I had one of those drinks with the electric ice cube in it. Stuck it in my purse and came across it here at work one day last week. Remember, Elaine, we were chatting about where to buy them?!! LOL!! Boss was intrigued, asked for the web address and he got his order today!! He wanted something different to be able to give all the girls he is dating for Valentines Day!! So he got electric red ice cubes!!! LOL!!!!

I started out following Atkins sort of the same way Sherry is. Making better choices and most importantly increasing my exercise. So far, that has been the key for me. I am not on the Atkins induction plan but more healthy carb choices (or at least trying) That slows things down quite a bit when the carbs start getting put back in.
