good evening gang,

Well, the tire is all fixed. It didn't take too long for them to get out here. He was done in about 20 minutes. I told the guy that some one once asked me if I knew how to change a tire. My response..."yep! It's right there on the back of the AAA card!"

Elaine...I think it is good to know how to do stuff like that...but I've never been interested in learning! hehehe Hope you get some sleep tonight.

Suzanne..I didn't even give Sky High a chance with Jar. Glad you all liked it. Jarrod showed some of his "strangeness" when we got home from the movie...he stayed with us in teh kitchen for about 3 minutes and then took off for the playroom and hid away in there for more than an hour. The noise in the theater was a little too much for him and then being in a different environment I think made him really want to hide away from the world for a bit!

Karen...so much for the separation of church and state!! oh you said politics...ah well, the same thing really!

JRKaren...cool pict. glad your results are normal (sorry i missed that before  )

going to bed now. Have to call the ped and Saturn tomorrow. I was hoping to go in and work on my room a bit tomorrow...but don't think that his happening

good night all and sweet dreams.
tara

Morning All,

Yep its about 4:30. We had a short power outage last night and the kids got scared and wanted to sleep with me. Eldest slept on one daybed and the youngest slept with me on the other. Not the most comfortable thing to do on a twin daybed LOL. Just having my first yummy cuppa java and relaxing before I have to get my eldest up.

Tara Im glad the tire got fixed. Im sorry Jar had such a problem after the movie. Sure does sound like he is sensory sensative. My kids have it to a degree as do I. Sound especially gets to me. I dont do noisy well at all.

Karen I forgot to say this before but YEA that the test came back negative for you. I hope you never ever have the symptoms again and that it was just a fluke this time. Wonderful picture in your siggie.

Suzanne how were the pork chops? Ive always wanted to do them on the grill but Im so afraid of undercooked pork. How long do you leave them on? What do you marinate them with? Do you have a gas or charcoal grill?? I would like to start using the grill more since it is a more healthy way to cook.

We find out this week (Friday) if my youngest also needs growth hormone therapy. He has literally stopped growing and they did the test for it three weeks ago. My eldest is already on it so my youngest knows what it entails. Im nervous about it. He says he is fine with it especially if it can make him as tall or taller than his brother LOL but Im just not so sure how he will really react when it comes time to take the shots if he needs them.

Well I better get eldest up for school. I will checkin tonight.

Hope everyone has a SUPER SPECTACULAR DAY!!!

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

Good Morning!

Picnic's were both good. :)

BIL & SIL took 2 of the boys to spend the night. :bounce:

Kristy, lots of PD heading your way.

Good morning all... feel very drugged up at the moment... I woke up at three and couldn't sleep until 5 when I took some meds ;)

LOL, Tara! Actually it sounds like you do know how to change a tire!!! I will admit, it's nasty & dirty work that I am happy to not have to do now and then. Though it came in handy when I had a white shirt on... the proudest moment of my life was changing a tire with a white shirt and not getting it dirty :teeth:

Karen, I know when we do pork chops on the girll, we cheat and use a thermometer. I can't recall the temp, but once it hits a certain temp on the inside, it's done.

Sherry, glad you had a good time :)

Hmmm... need to clean the kitchen, anyone wanna do it for me? :p

Hi everyone....sorry that I have been so absent lately - just so much going on here. I don't want to dwell on my "job woes" but let me just tell you that I was out having a late lunch on Saturday with Alyssa then we were going to do dorm shopping - at about 3:15 I got a call that I had to work.....I got so upset that I started to cry and Alyssa felt so bad. And I don't know what makes me more upset - the circumstances that caused me to have to wrk (another very long story) or the fact that I just could not say no. Once my vaca is done I think it's time to consider changes,,,,,because right now I do not feel in control at all. I feel like the stress from work is effecting my entire life and god knows that's not worth it. Another dilemma is that my doctors have told me that I can no longer sit at a desk for 8 hrs staright ...all of my job experience is in customer service an retail (can't stand for long periods of time either).....so any suggestions - kind words - PD.....is surely welcome.

OK - enough about that - it's "crunch" week here - Alyssa leaves on Friday - tody is her last day of work - we went to her boyfriends family's home yesterday they had a "going away" cookout for the kids - it was really nice. All 4 of us went which made me very happy because so often it's just me going with the kids. Ryan is here now - Alyssa will go back home with him tomorrow and I think Wednesday will be their last day together ..she leaves Friday - he leaves Saturday. He will be 2 hrs from her and has already told me that he has plans of driving up to see her.

Elaine - I'm sending vibes -to get rid of those allergy monsters for you!! :flower3:

Tara - never a dull moment is there?? I can repate a bit to Jar's sensory sensitivity - when Chris ws little going to the mall really bother him - the lights - epople - etc - even now at 16 he cannpt deal with people with loud voices.

Kristy... :wizard: for you!! I know the waiting ..etc......you have my support.

Suzanne - any applesauce with those pork chops??

JR Karen - love - love - love the new pic!!

Lily....Sherry.....Nancy.....Karen.....Beth....Alan....Todd.....evryone...... and :wizard: and  and  and :grouphug: !!!!

Good morning or almost afternoon eveyone. Thank you all for your well wishes and words of wisdom.

Wew, I can't keep track with my pee wee memory of everyone I am going to have to start taking notes and keeping them off to the side. LOL

We had fun at the movies yesterday. DD11 and I really enjoyed Sky High. The plot fooled me but not DD so that tells you how sharp I have been lately.
DH and DD24 both enjoyed the Skeleton Key. Both were telling me about it. Still doesn't sound like my "cup of tea"
Afterwards my family wanted to go for Italian food. Trying so hard to start this diet and that is not a good place to start at. I split a meal with DD11 and to my surprise came home with leftovers. I think the key is to stop when you no longer feel hunger pains. Piggy me always kept on until I felt full.

Then we went home played a board game. Later my family decided they wanted ice cream. We went to an ice cream shop down the street from us. I didn't cheat. Or at least I think I didn't. I had one scoop of frozen strawberry yogurt. All in all had a real nice time as a family.

Anybody seen my blowdryer? I was using it in the bedroom and it seems to have disappeared.

It probably didn't know who you were and is hiding.

I was home sick for a few days so I missed the shore excursion. Then again, from the descriptions I think I'm one of the sites ON the shore excursion! :teeth:

Awww... so he really does love me best???? :)

Susan, I know the key for me was eating less than I had before. Now I know it seems like I hardly eat compared to anyone else... easy to get used to changes in diet like that. Good luck to you though!

Paula, sounds like you could just use a hug... from work to Alyssa going... all that! Just think in a short while you will have come back from vacation and you can try to make life good again

Feeling better today for sure... will actually ketchup on eveytrhing I've ignored now ;)

:wave2:

Quick dash in to share some GREAT news!!
M'Cori got an internship and a scholarship!! $15,000!! :bounce: That sure helps them for this year.

Hope everyone is feeling better.
We "might" finish painting next weekend (but I don't think so).

Later

Nancy, that is awesome news!!!!!! A HUGE congratulations to M'Cori!!!!!!

Got some sutff done, but not a lot today... aobut to make Luis decide for me for sure which dresses to wear this weekend to the party & Phantom :p

Well, if a girl is sick, can't she have both?
Alright I suppose I could loan him to you. But I need him back very very soon. I go into withdrawls if I don't hear him on a regular basis and I really hate it when I do that. Twitching, drooling... it's not pretty.

Oh man, there's a lot to read here. I don't think I can do it. Went to the dentist today. Lots of valuim, lots of gas. Lots of nothing in my wee brain tonight. See that big ole' empty thought cloud above my head? I'll be back when the drug cloud has lifted.

Evening, all!

Okay, the pork chops were marinated in Yoshida's. I didn't feel like making my usual marinade (but I have to this week for shish kebabs). They marinated for about three hours, then were on the grill for almost a half hour. This is due to them being 2" thick! Yes, Paula they MUST have apple sauce!

Gonna be a busy week at work. I spent the whole day today working on transfers to an outlet store. and corporate's way of figuring out how many hours to give to this task had us getting 2 hours for 10 hours work! got it straighted out!

Gotta get the kids in bed-I got my copy of Tarzan 2 from the disney movie club, so they insisted on watching it after dinner!

I think I'm seeing double... Kimmie, did you lace my drinks with some of the drugs you took? ;)

I will be nice though, and not make one single comment about this

You know we had pork chops tonight too, but just grilled on teh foreman with some herb brown rice (I wanted to put something in the brown rice). It had kind of a Mediterranean flavor to it all... but even though I have applesauce in the fridge, we didn't eat any

I'm off to bed... see y'all in the morning!

Looks like almost everyone is off to bed. I will read a few more threads than sign off also. My favorite program "Everybody Loves Raymond" is on soon so I will sign out to watch it.

Nighty night and pleasant dreams to all of you.

Morning, all! Just dropping in for a quick hi and to leave plenty of prayers and PD for those who need it or want it and a big :grouphug:

Worked all weekend at the store and will be there every night this week and next. I asked and got put in charge of next month's feature set, which is the display of themed products at the front of the store that changes every month or so. Back to School will be coming down next week and our new feature will be Heritage--all about family, with the addition of a Halloween display and another for Christmas. The feature has 36 (!!!) projects we have to complete. Things like a 24"x30" canvas, a "Thru the Decades" board book, and a darling keepsake box in the shape of a camel-back trunk. Then there's a treat bag, a party invitation and a table decoration for the Halloween set and more stuff for the Christmas set. I'm having a ball with it--wish I was allowed to make all the projects! Everybody pitches in to make the stuff, I just get to put together the kits of materials for the projects, pass them out, make sure everything is finished in time and then get the display set up by next week Friday. Can you tell I'm angling for a promotion??!! :teeth: The girl who is "Key Holder" will be leaving right after Labor Day and I wouldn't mind taking over.

My bosses at the office are back from their trip to meet with the directors of the company who is acquiring ours. I was reassured yesterday that my job is safe, that they will keep me on after the merger. I've been really sweating that ever since I heard this was in the works! So, I am up to my ears in producing financial information and pulling together all kinds of other stuff for the buyers. And, of course, the gov't decides to place several big orders at the same time! I will be MORE than ready for that trip to WDW after T'giving, for sure!!!

But for now, mad, mad love, with hugs and kisses to all! I will check in again when I can come up for air! :grouphug:

Morning all! I am happy to say for the first time in about a week, I actually slept straight through the night :hyper:
Okay silly, but it felt good. Did sleep in quite a bit though... but oh well

Nancy, if I ever get back to not sleeping at night, I'll be up to keep you company. I sort of say fortuantely for me, I haven't been on a schedule like that for a long time.

Susan, I actually like that show a lot! Luis likes to watch TV with dinner, so I usually have that one on (the earlier showing of it on FOX)

Bethie  good luck with everything as you go through the merger. Those are always stressful times. And you made me tired just listening to everything you do at your other job! I think you are in line for a promotion ;)

Not sure what I am doing today, still taking it somewhat easy just in case. Maybe I'll have to get out my whipping chains and get my boys to do some work for me ;)
