Shoot I should've just edited my last post to make it look like I caught up then :p

:wave2: Howdy Tara!

Paula, sounds like you had a good day in general there! And the talk with Chris sounds like a step in the right direction. I do wish you all my best with that :)

Gee Nancy, why did you go see Corpse Bride? ;) Actually until I heard reviews on it, I was actually very interested in seeing it. Oh well :teeth: I hope you and Christin find time to see Elizabethtown. I actually only really saw his accent come out when he actually said Elizabethtown once... the "Beth" part (just like Pirates :p)

Speaking of which... Behie, I am so sorry... yes a movie! We will keep you fed and watered. I am glad you are doing okay after that inventory. Will you have to do it at that certain time every 6 months? I admit that possibility at one job really left me saying no to a job. They required it every other month though all day on Sunday... even if you were part time work. Yuck stuff...

Pammy, sorry about the Friday night stuff... I do remember though doing nights like that even on weekdays... when they are hours behind you though, they have a severe advantage. Kimmie could more easily stay up late :rotfl:
Oh well, I guess we have happy home lives that keep us busy now.

Lily, I am glad you got to enjoy the day some yesterday. I agree it was gorgeous! When I walked out after the movie yesterday I was totally shocked... sun finally!

Not sure what we will be doing today... game is on at noon which means I will probably do a few things around the house I've ignored this week and maybe make some empanadas for dinner :)

It's okay, Elaine! :goodvibes

My guys went to bed early last night as they were rising with the chickens to go muzzleloading.

I was in the mood to sit at the computer and play -- and no one was around to play with me.... :sad1:

Even Gunny bombed out on the couch! The little bugger turned 2 yesterday and had a wonderful birthday! He got a special dinner, a nice long walk, a DQ treat with 2 bones stuck in the ice cream (the DQ put 2 in there as a present!), a bag of rawhide bones, a car ride, and a nice, long bath. :cheer2:

Morning!

Pam, Happy Birthday to Gunny! What a special day he had. How clever to get him all "specialized."

Elaine, well now that you got it figured out, hope the ickies don't last too much longer then. Enjoy the game..

Pam, I know what you mean! It always seems the times I like to play no one is arround. I attribute it to my dumb luck :teeth:

Thanks Lily! I am sure now I have it figured out, that it will be okay soon. Acutally yesterday was much better and today is better than yesterday. As long as I remember to keep my allergy meds (which I stopped while on the cold meds) I do great.

And last but not least

Happy Birthday Gunny :bday:

Hi gang,
Quick in and out. I finally slept last night!!!! First night in a week that I've slept naturally (no Nyquil) and made it through the night. Still having dreams about things being out of control...but that could relate to my students too...so who knows!! hehehe

Its a beautiful day here and we are headed out to Busch Gardens. So I'll check back tomorrow!!

Have a great day all!!

Sounds like a good day for ya, Nancy!! Our TDS here never seems to have any of the new toppers  Can't wait to see Wally in the Indian outfit, too! Gotta finish getting my kids into their new duds so we can do a family portrait. So, how soon do you expect to receive the Georges and the Spice Kids?

TDS I go to is usually out of them too :( But I got there early enough. Christin actually picked one of them up for me on Wed., and said they had lots, so I was hopeful for Friday.

:rotfl: Georges and Spice kids were shipped yesterday ....or this morning (confusing notice), so they should arrive early next week :bounce: I need more boy clothes! I think undies are the priority ;)

Actually Corpse Bride was better than I was expecting. I liked the story.
I didn't like NBC, so this was an improvement from what I was expecting.
Dave saw it while I was in CA and he loved it....he is a huge NBC fan.
Christin is free on Wed. so we will be seeing Elizabethtown then. Orli looks so cute in all the pictures and previews ::yes::
Must say a highlight of seeing CB, was the Harry Potter preview :teeth:

Sorry, Pam. I am often here late at night (for you ;) ), but usually give up because no one is around....not just here, but on the CB in general. I play the work games until they don't move anymore at all :(

How were the muffins, Beth?
No cookie baking this week since Dave was gone, so I made banana bread and pumpkin custard instead.

Tara, glad you got a better sleep.
Elaine, hope you are feeling better.
Good luck, Paula, with Chris.

:bday: Gunny!!

Sewing. Sorting through more picture stuff today.

We got :sunny: :sunny: !!!!! Whoo-hoooo! Dave and I are off to go grocery shopping and do a bank run for my store. We had 2 call out sick this morning, so the poor MOD can't leave! Love her new title, too. No more Key Holder, that position is now called Senior Creative Assistant!! :rotfl: I'm not scheduled to go in until 4, but I think I may go help out "off the clock" so I don't go into overtime. Especially if this afternoon turns busy. With the nicer weather, we may have more shoppers.

If I'd known, I'd have stayed and played with ya last night, Pam. My body clock is still screwed up and I can't seem to get sleepy till midnight or later. Next time, OK?!

So, I'm off! Ya'll have a lovely day! :grouphug:

Awwwww.... thanks, Elainne, Nancy, and Beth!! :goodvibes

I usually don't stay up late at night -- except for the weekends. Maybe we can all make a "date" for next Friday night!! :rotfl:

It is a night like tonight that I miss Betty. I remember staying up with her and Marilyn and Kim until 3:00 am on a Friday night/Saturday morning. We were so out of control!!
:cool1: Cabana boys were running amuck. Someone had to stay up and make sure those boys behaved! Besides... Marilyn was always trying to run over my Dorky one with that Tank of hers. I had to keep my eye on that woman.

Elaine that kitty picture is priceless!!!

Senior Creative Assistant!? Is that you Beth?

Cute Orli. ::yes:: Stood in Best Buy and ogled him during an Elizabethtown preview.

Trying to ketchup but doing it backwards. That's not exactly working for me... guess I better do it right side up.

Trying to order pictures :( Slow.....can't see the title to coorindate my list, so have to do one at a time and go back to start in between :(

:wave2: Kimmie. Where ya been hiding?
Did you go see the Viggo movie yet?

Tara, glad you were able to finally get a decent nights sleep there! You are right, your students could be to blame ;) I do hope that the dreams stop for ya soon... enjoy Busch Gardens!

Maybe I'll think twice about Corpse Bride then... I actually did like NBC quite a bit! Someone said it was no where near as good. I just saw a preview for Elizabethtown... wish OSU hadn't been playing at noon, or we'd go see it again :rotfl:

Beth, enjoy the day if you can! Honestly the only way I can get myself back on schedule after a night like you had is to keep the regular hours I would have otherwise. In short no real sleep until the next night. Had to do that when I got back from LA last summer!

Next Friday night a date? I am game for that Pam! I think my Friday nights are free for a while :teeth: Though Saturday I will have a huge party to go to. We are practicing dancing for a friend's wedding :teeth: In reality, a friend from church just got her Citizenship on Tuesday, so we are very excited and want to party!

Orli is very oogle-able! I oogled a lot yesterday ::yes::
Catch up how you can Kimmie, up or down, left or right... whatever :p

Nancy, good luck with the pics!

:wave2: Still doing pictures...but I can see the end now.
I need a break.....but then I need to get sewing
So glad we are going away for the next 2 days. I can go for doing a little nothing right now.

Hope everyone is having some fun today.

Noooo, I'm too skeered to see the Viggo movie. I hear it's yicky and disturbing... blood and guts and stuff. Ew ick. :guilty:

Trying to ketch right side up but I think it's a lost cause.

Where you going Nancy?

A little Bavarian town a couple hours away....other side of the mountains ;)
Just for R&R.....last of our little get-aways this year.
Next up is the big one to WDW in Feb. :hyoer:

It is a bloody movie....but VERY good ;)

Made beef & cheese empanadas this afternoon... takes a lot of time to roll out the dough, but they were pretty good :)

Kimmie, no lost cause... just jump in again anyway... that would make for a heck of a long post otherwise :p

Nancy, enjoy the trip :)

Tired, and need to call my dad!

Ya Yas playing on Friday night.

Elaine, never had empanadas. Sounds interesting by the ingredients.

Kimmie, ketchup or not. How's things?

Nancy, enjoy that R&R. Sounds like that costumemay have to make itself. Need a fairy godmother or something I'm guessing. :wizard:

Beth, you are so sweet to go in early to help out. Hope it all went ok.

Tara, glad you found those Zzzz s.

Went for my trek today. DS came with me. It was a great bonding opportunity. We had great conversation, weather and I took some pics as we we moving along. DH took me for an ice cream cone and we brought back hf sundae for Mom. I could use a nap.

A fairy godmother would be nice, but I think I'm it ;)
It will get done. I have the skirt, shawl and headband done. Working on the blouse now....but of course, saving the hardest (the vest) for last.

Applebee's clone Chicken roll-ups here for dinner. Yummy. Second night in a row.

Well poop, Nancy, I like that ride! Maybe you'll get lucky and it will open just a wee bit early!

Lily, empanadas are kind of like mini calzones filled with things like ground beef, cheese, chicken or even dessert stuff. Not hard to make at all (just seasoned ground beef and shredded cheddar in mine today) but i do make the dough from scratch, so that takes a bit of time (most people take roll dough and just roll it out).

Watching TV with Luis while we are relaxing... OSU squeaked on by with a win so it's a better evening than I expected :teeth:

Evening, all.

Long day! I awoke to the alarm at o dark thirty, then thought I'd set it wrong, so I RESET it. Eyes open at 6:15, when I needed to drop the boys off at 6:30. YIKES! Busy day at work.

Call Mom for daily check in (left message Friday) and find out she's in the hospital. Blood clots. Not sure how to treat, suspect a mini-stroke. After spending two hours with her, DEFINITELY a stroke. Lost her words, and train of thought quite a bit. Got asked about liking chocolate by the nurse, and started telling the nurse about Joe Namath. Big time stressed about it here, but I made the decision to go to work in the morning-they're not going to have results back from the MRI or Ultrasound until Monday morning-and I'll be there.

Interesting right now-got an aura, don't know if it's stress or a migraine starting up.

I'm glad I started blogging, the people who have the link either call or email their comments to me-and it's keeping some family members in the loop, even though they are far away.

Back tomorrow night-probably be in a better mood after some sleep and work to take my mind off what's going on.

Suzanne
