My turn to blush...

just haven't been in the mood to meet new people lately. And that always happens at a meet.

So........

not anytime soon, but always glad to meet up with ya Todd. We could go shopping at Bose again ;)

tired Suzanne, reporting in.

Mom's first day went well, and I'm off in a few minutes to find out how day two went. Need the largest mocha I can get at my favorite drive through coffee joint, I was at work at 6:30 this morning!

Nancy, :grouphug: . I got the jist of it on another site and had to speak my piece that what is in PM's should stay in PMs. she made herself look bad, IMO. Hang in there. Shall I get you a frankenmickey and spider?

Have to check out that third day site.

Bethie, how are the last few days with boy blunder going? I got your package yesterday-THANK YOU. I need to send you stitch, any other toppers? Possible trip back to Epcot to see Kansas Friday night-we'll see how my trips to St. Pete go.

Kimmie, isn't it great when someone sees a musical group the same way you do? Especially when it's not someone hugely overexposed?

JRKaren, awesome that Scotty's feeling good. Perhaps he can sing for the yayas in December

Todd, We figured you'd been missing because Amanda put you on computer restriction!

Ahh, that's enough ketchup for now, I'll probably stop by in the morning. I really really really want a day to sleep in!

I was just thinking about Jeffersonville the other day when we were at Kings Island... :cloud9:

Suzanne-- :wave2:

Suzanne, I am so glad that the day went well! I hope the 2nd was just as good as the first for her :)

Some day, Todd, I am going to have to get to KI again! It's been probably a decade or more since I've been

I just gave Cleo her meds and I did it all by myself!!!! She actually fussed very little and I took it slow to make sure it went well with her. I am proud of my baby and she'll get extra treats tonight for being so good. Luis was on hand just to make sure I didn't need him. I guess she will allow for a one person job at it if you do it right!

I need to find my old Wicked Queen costume. I think I found a good home for it :)

Oh Kimmie, you converted me a long time ago! I'll have to find time to look through what I have and what album possibly it is from. Stupid me, I remember finding an album for you and I should've copied it then Oh well. I wonder if my public library has any of thier stuff too... kind of Christian around here
:p

Kimmie, isn't it great when someone sees a musical group the same way you do? Especially when it's not someone hugely overexposed?
Yes!! Very much Suzanne! :) It's nice to share something (someone) that has done so much for you and see that they also bless someone else. Makes me smile. :)

Howdy back ya Todd. No kindled flame? :( Ah, well Pam just needs to do her seven veals shimmy for ya, that's all. :)

How was day two Suzanne? And the mocha? Gotta love a good mocha!! ...and here's hoping you get that rest soon!!!

Who is going to be the Wicked Queen Elaine?

Kimmie, someone on the DIS wanted to do a costume trade (Mrs Potts)... I have no need for one, but I have a costume that I used either last year or the year before (only once) that I can give away. So she's getting it!

I also have another to give, but we'll see! They were both one of those one-size-fits-all deals that I just cannot fit into anymore. So since Jasmine is on her way to me ;) I can freely give htis one up!

But House is on, so I had best go :)

Hi gang,
Been a busy day and this is the first I've been able to get on the internet. I have spent most of the last little while looking for the thread that was alluded to here. Nancy you were right on!!! i hate people that act like that.

Okay, Jarrod story.
Jarrod comes home from school yesterday and announces that he got into trouble at school. Here's his explanation..(oh and you have to remember he likes his girls with color!!)..."I fought da black girl wanted to play. So I puwed her chair out and her fell down on the foor." Our reaction YOU DID WHAT?????? Note from the teacher for me to sign (like a kindergarten version of a referral) "Jarrod pushed another child out of her chair today. When asked why he did it he answered, "Because my brain told me to." " :rotfl: So I have a 5 year old (with a speech impediment) who apparently thinks its fun to shove the girl he likes onto the floor as she is going to sit down! But that is all okay because his "brain" told him to. I guess I can be thankful that he points to his skull when he mentions his "brain" telling him waht to do!!!!

I have to say, afte the day I had yesterday, the last thing I needed was for my 5 year old to get into trouble!! But I laughed my butt off when I heard about it ( not in front of him!) Oh and when I asked him how he would feel if someone did that to him, his response was "well, i wouldn't fall cuz I would look before I sat down" UGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! He doesn't even get why that is wrong. Sheesh...I hope I'm not forced to commit him to the juvenile detention center before 1st grade!! Oh and in case you are wondering it took less than 4 weeks for him to get into trouble at school!!! :rotfl:

Okay, off to bed. Gotta hit the gym again tomorrow morning!! Have a great day if I dont' get back to you all before tomorrow evening!!

hugs and mad love to EVERYONE (including Shep!!)

I was flipping through some pics as I was heading to bed, and I noticed this one

f3e5317c.jpg

It is so very rare to find what I call a perfect rose. There is hardly a blemish on this one....

though I admit this one almost doesn't look real as well

Anywho...

I'm off to bed after I read... see y'all in the morning :)

:grouphug:
Thank you all for the kind words and encourgment.....here and on the other thread....and the other message board ;)
I do appreciate it  to you all.

Suzanne, I only need the FrankenMickey ;)
Glad your mother is doing well.

Good morning everyone!

I am so congested right now it's not even funny. I think it's bad bad allergies. I even have it in my throat. Blech.

Karen

Cold this morning... I don't like cold... I feel it and Luis is teasing me about it. Twit...

Nancy, I admit I forgot to check "the other place" I'm curious!!!!

Karen, I've been congeseted a lot lately. Just yuck allergies that I hope leave soon. Though with leaves falling (yes already... some trees here start in Sept on the early ones) I usually have the mold issues to deal with.

I love fall ;)

Okay so I really do, but the cooler weatehr and the moldy leaves do get to me.

Morning, all.

Off to my mom's in about a half hour today. I go to the chemo session with her today. Sometimes my mom can be Cleopatra (queen of denial) and she refuses to think she has lung cancer, thinking that the doctors are putting her through hell 'just in case'. I'm glad Kathi's here, because the two of us are not playing that game-we watched my dad go through this and mom's rationalization at that time was "He smokes Camels, and I smoke filtered PLUS I don't inhale"

Elaine, the other place was all over the other party in this case. I think coordinating these things is a thankless job and that Nancy's an angel for doing all of them.

You know, I think I liked it when Kevin didn't know what day of the week it was. I usually have Wednesday off, so this morning, he was pulling the 'I don't wanna go to school today' thing. He wanted to stay home with me-had to tell him I wasn't going to be home. The he says "But Wednesday is your day off" Can't get anything by him, lol.

Back later.

Suzanne

Page 3 already.

Heading out early again today. Got to get blood taken
Spending the day with Christin....maybe doing some Christmas shopping.
I will need to make cookies later for Dave's work tomorrow.

Hope Elaine and JRKaren get rid of the yukkies fast.

Cold here too.....not has cold as it has been though. We had our first frost a couple of mornings ago....but the days are still being sunny and nice.

Last time I went to KI, I saw Cindy Lauper perform in concert there. And that was before her comeback tour. I think that it must have been sometime in the early 1980's. I guess it's time for a return visit.

DW Sue was at KI prior to opening day. Her dad worked for a newspaper in Coshocton and got passes for the pre-opening press event. I'm not certain whether or not she's been there since that day.

I guess having Cedar Point and Geauga Lake so close makes the trek to Kings Island seem a bit of a hassle for us.

Good morning all. :wave2:

I keep trying to post and my cat keeps getting in the way ;)

Okay that and I had computer issues all morning and just think I got it working again :)

Suzanne, best wishes to your mom today. Though your comment about Kevin made me smile. Getting smart on you ;) And I finally did read the other place. I still stand by my original comment about that poster... none to keen on her. She got all emotional when I suggeseted she warn people about disturbing links when she posts them (animal cruelty). Not at all my favorite person.

Nancy, good luck with the blood being drawn! And Christmas shopping already

John, if I were that close to CP, I wouldn't go to KI either. Actually KI is much closer to us than CP is... amazing I havne't gone.

need to look up some stuff today for Luis... best get to that now :)

Oh sure jealous people, we have "Visionland" in Birmingham and I've never bothered going there.

It's been a busy week. Mrs. AA is sick with strep again and is at home sleeping it off now ;)

Morning, all!! Cool?! It was downright COLD this morning! A whopping 47º when I got up!! I got to wear my WDW sweatshirt!!!

Hope all goes well with mom and the chemo today, Suzanne. Had to giggle over the Cleopatra Syndrome--my dad had it too. Claimed he had chronic bronchitis and an inoperable tumor in his lung, but would never admit to having cancer. Sigh.....Dave never even got to meet him. :sad1: Oh, and a FrankenMickey for me too, if you can! Thanx so very much!!

Ooo, nasty ole needles!! Sorry about the blood draw today, Nancy. Glad to hear you have something fun planned for afterward. Is that your reward for being good at the doc?! My mom used to promise us rewards like that for holding still and not crying when we went for shots and things when we were kids!! :teeth:

Ahhh.....such fond memories of KI and CP. Lived in Cleveland for 7 years and never made it to Geauga Lake, though. Funny how the rides at KI are basically the same as at King's Dominion, here, yet KI is so much more appealing. Might have something to do with being able to do more than 4 rides in 12 hours at KI

I'm tellin' you allergy sufferers--immunotherapy really works!! I don't have anywhere NEAR the problems I used to. Think how much $$$ you'd save on tissues and sinus/headache/cough meds, not to mention the doctor bills when
the allergic rhinitis develops into an infection or bronchitis! I can very much sympathize with the nearly constant complaint of congestion, sinus pressure and/or the itchy eyes, etc. Hope ya'll feel better soon! It's no fun bein' miserable, I know.

Elaine, those are such beautiful pictures!!! I know I've got a bunch of rose pix from our spring trips, but I don't have anything even close to those. And I hafto agree, those ARE perfect roses. Love that bud, especially.

Hmmmm, so now Jarrod is claiming he just "does what the voices tell him to do"??!!! :rotfl: I love it!!! But, of course he doesn't get why it's wrong--look at what the cartoon characters on TV do to each other all the time! Practical jokes such as making someone fall down are normal behavior in cartoons. How many of us actually sit thru every single cartoon with our kids and point out every little thing--"Oh, that wasn't nice, was it?" or "Gee, he could have gotten hurt! Do you think it was right for him/her to make her/him fall off that cliff?" It's daggone hard to teach kids to be nice, these days! Is it any wonder respect and compassion are getting lost?

So sad---jerk boss, I mean boy dork, I mean boy genius is going to be in Canada the next 2 days, so today is the last day I have to deal with him. Sniffle-sniffle...... ;) :p

Tara, I had totally missed your story last night! I am sorry he got into trouble, but that sounds so typical of little boy actions too. Good luck ;)

Beth, I admit, I have never heard of immunotherapy for allergies. Mine are unbearable though, but just been a bit stuffy lately. Course it helps if I do remember to take my allergy meds in the first place ;)
I blame the pretty roses on things beyond my control! One that it was there, two that I was lucky enough to find it and three that my camera was able to capture it right. Mostly luck in my eyes. But I love it when I do find one... so breath taking!

Not much going on today. Kind of straightening my house a little. Nothing major though :)

I never realized Lily was a webmistress :scratchin

Wish me luck, folks. I'll be out all day tomorrow on a video project in Birmingham.

I hope I have good stories to tell when I return!
