We haven't seen Polar Express either. Guess I'll wait until next Christmas.

Tara the forecasters were wrong as usual and the ice didn't even touch us. Which is good...just wish they knew what they were talking about and didn't envoke a riot of people at the grocery store. YAY on getting a scrapping date set. That's wonderful!!

Karen sweetie...I do hope you stayed home from church. I think you need to take a nice long break from there if it's stressing you out so much.

Suzanne do you have a heating pad that you can put on your back to help with the pain?

Thanks all on the page compliments. I think that's my best work yet. Err..I mean Sasha She had some help on the layout. Vicki my consultant is wonderful and gave her the idea of the blue background. To help the rest of the page "pop".

Off to shower and head back over to Vicki's. We're doing a border exchange today. I made the cutest Easter borders. Wish it were Easter already..hate this cold weather.

I did like your AK page Kristy----er Sasha. Are you going to put any pictures on it or is it a lead into your AK picture?
I bought a couple of cute Disney papers yesterday and a few Christmas pages. I want to get my last trip done and Christmas so I can start working my way back.
None of my friends down here scrap and I can scrap alone but its just not as much fun--plus when you get stuck on a page someone else always has the perfect idea for it.
I have been on a brownie kick lately too. HEB makes the best little bit sized ones. They are sooo good and moist. I usually pop a couple in the microwave to them warm and put a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream on top, mmmmm

Okay so I was wrong... looks like we had about 3-4" of snow this morning. Just shoveled it off the driveway. I was going to clean the kitchen up a wee bit more before I left, but I dont' feel like it now. Luis is out at Target and Old Navy to find shorts and a few other things... just love hte last minute packer in him

Well, the ice may have missed Kristy, but we sure got it here! Dave just came back in from cleaning off the cars and there is a good 1/4" of ice under almost 2" of snow. No wonder church was cancelled this morning! Don't think I'll be going out of the house today at all. Temp is up to 30º, but it feels like 20º (according to the weather site) and I'm sure driving is positively treacherous out there. Oh well, we have plenty of movies to watch, games to play, food to eat, so I think we can manage. Just wish I had remembered to hit the gas station yesterday.

Suzanne, I really want one of those Valentine toppers, if you still have one or find more! LOVED reading about your surgery team and experience! What a stitch!! Glad it all went well and you are recovering nicely. Meds are yucky, though? Guess there HAD to be something that wasn't so good.

Tara, sounds like you had a great birthday and Jar's behavior was a wonderful gift! Count me in on the MOD donation list--can you send me the info? And YAY on setting up a scrapping date! You will love it once you get into it!

Kristy, I am loving Sasha's AK title page, too! Are the elephants stickers or diecuts or what? I LOVE them! I had never thought of doing title pages for each park.....thanks for the idea. I have sooooooooo many books ahead of me!!

HI everyone - just checking in - just came back from my brother in laws 50th b-day party!! I have buying gag gifts but I was able to find wine glasses that said "50 and Toasted" - pretty appropriate as DH and his brother make wine and drink it of course!!

DH made great chicken spoup for dinner last night - he's cooking steak now - not me - I'm full from birthday cake.

We are still "kidless" - DS still at his friends house - they were going ice fishing - DD at her BF's house in CT - I will have to drive 1/2 to get her probably @8pm.
Casey's ears are a little better - I am watching her closely.

Hey all,

Well I did go to church of sorts today. I went in and the director took one look at me and asked what was wrong. I kinda lost it a little and started to cry and told her what Im going through right now and that I had emailed her. She told Dh and I to just go to regular service, pick up the boys after and go out to breakfast or something calming. We did go to service which I relatively almost slept through....many thanks to dh for rubbing my back to keep me upright. I had taken something for nerves that was a bit too strong LOL. Got out of there, went to the store and got some nice things for lunch and some healthy snackies for me to help when I crave a ciggy and came home and ate. I then croaked on the couch for a couple of hours. Im now impatiently waiting for the brownies to be done. Gonna start dinner in a few and we will have the brownies for dessert.

Through reading my eldest's report criteria we discoverd that he didn't put something in there that he should have. Now he has to come up with how the doctrines and laws etc....that Truman passed etc... affected life as we know it now. LOL his synopsis is coming out just about as long as his original report. Just have to get him to get it down on paper and he can dictate it to me so I can get it into his report. This is going to end up being about a six to seven page report by the time he is done and that is at 14 size double spaced.

Elaine I know you are gone but have a WONDERFUL and SAFE trip. My prayers go with you sweetie. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Yikes Bethie please stay inside and do all those fun things. Im glad church was cancelled so that you didnt try and drive out there. It sounds horrid. One silver lining is you did get your SNOW!

Tara when do you have to have the money in by? Money is a bit tight right now but I would love to contribute.

Had brownies and a big glass of milk for dessert. YUM!!! I forgot how good brownies and milk are.

Ds's report is done, his puppet is done YEA!!!!!! Now all he has is his homework tomorrow to do and read for his Acc. Reader. He feels so good having it done before it is due.....so do mom and dad LOL!!! I think the report is very good and very well thought out and follows the questions laid out. I hope he gets a good grade on it. He really worked hard on this project. Next up is probably the Science Fair. He already has his idea for it all he needs to do is the research on it.

All is right with the world. I drove a 1/2 mile up the road, got some blue bell and made my brownie sundae. Ahhh, feel better, now that I've been able to get 10 minutes by myself, driving my car and feel the cool air on my legs.

I think that I haven't been eating enough. The appetite is better than the last go round with general, but still not good...been queasy for the past couple of days. I made sure I had dinner before taking more pain pills.

Tara, loved your encounter with Murphy...murphy travels with me often!

Now, if life were perfect, the remaining w2's would show up in tomorrow's mail so that I could do my taxes before going back to work on Thursday. Yep, I'm the crazy person that LIKES doing taxes.

Suzanne Im glad you were able to get out and about by yourself. I bet that felt oh so good. Sorry about you being queasy. I bet it's the meds for pain. They often do that to me too.

I used to like to do taxes until we started taking money out of my IRA. Now I dread it. Had to be done but yikes I hate tax time. I just hope we get something back this time even if it's just a little. We are just waiting on dh's W2 and then we can do our taxes.

Karen, I think you need to learn to say no and just stick with it. Hope that you can take next Sunday off and just veg or do what ya need to do. How is the qutiing smoking going? Hope you are doing well with that. It really is a hard habbit to break, but you will be amazed how great you feel after it is all done and over. You are gonna cough like a fool for a while....and well what you are gonna cough up is not pretty......water will become a good friend. Also, you might want to find somehting to do to busy your hands when you want a smoke..I have been there and know what you are dealing with. I was a 3 pack a day girl! Good luck! Put your mind to it and you will be smoke free before you know it.

Suzanne, sounds like you are mending nicely!! We like to hear that! Sorry about the tummy problems. I made sure to eat lots of dairy when I was on vicoden. Seemed like some fat free pudding did the trick for me. Of coursejsut to be safe a little cool whip lite orfree seemed to help as well. Can't wait to see the pics of toppers!! Gotta love them!! Thanks for getting them!!

TC, how is your ankle coming along? I have been starting to train for a 5K in April and a half marathon in August and I am so surprized at how well my ankle is doing through all of the training. I walked 10 miles this week and am so happy that the pain is minimal. It actually hurts when I don't walk it!! Go figure!!

Paula, how were your snow days? Hope you were able to get your work done at home. How is the snow there now? Ours seems to be melting.....I think that is a good thing!! I just hope it doesn't all melt at once!!

Evening all! Just checking in while I watch the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie on CBS. Hallmark sappy movies get me hooked every time.

I know I enjoy being in a group more than doing it by myself. Now....for the best news in the world.....I'M GOING TO WDW!!!!!!!!!!! My fabulous, marvelous, spectacular husband is going to splurge and let me go on a scrapbooking event in August that's held at WDW. Last year it was at the Contemporary Resort. I can't wait to see where they have it this year. For anyone else interested, the website is Scrapbooker Dream Events I know it seems really pricey...but I've been promised that it's MORE than worth the price. I've gladly agreed to forgo hair highlights and coloring in order to save up the money to go.

MIL went home yesterday. Wasn't a bad weekend, although the snow kept us in on Saturday. Neighbor's came over to play cards with Todd and his Mom, I wasn't in the mood to play so I invited them

Trying to not catch a cold. Mandy and Cassie are great. Todd is still waiting to hear if he got the first shift job or not.
