Good morning......off to do a whole lot of errands this morning, but wanted to say a hello first.

:wave2:

WOO HOO! I get all Deena's chocolate!! :jumping1:
You rock, Deena!! :teeth:

Liz, I hope Greg's boss will close the office early. That would be great.

TC, how are you doing with the ankle and the cold weather? I am back to taking my celebrex.....oy!!! I think that may be a winter thing!! Funny how the weather can have such an effect!!!

I was scared witless this morning when I stepped out of my car onto an icy parking lot at work. Egads. Haven't they learned their lesson?

My ankle nearly did me in during my recent trip to WDW. I skipped the Advil and walked way too many miles each day. There was a time that seriously thought that I wasn't going to be able to make it to my car and that I was going to have to have Disney security rescue me. When I got back home, I had a similar experience at work. I asked my physical therapist friend for advice. She told me to start taking my morning Advil and to stop abusing my ankle. Two weeks later and I'm ready to take on WDW again. I go back to see my surgeon next week for another followup visit. It's been 4 months since I've seen him.

I know what you mean about the weather. I can tell when there is a big change in store. I guess it is handy to have a built in weather station (although I'd be willing to give it up in a heartbeat).

Hope the Celebrex helps keep the winter weather effects to a minimum.

If i ever make it there...you are gonna have to give me a guided tour!!
Ummm... I could try. ;) Ya might want to bring a map or two though... :p

Oooh a birthday!! Is it a reeeeal birthday? ;)

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEENA!!!! :cheer2:

Okay, gotta go ketchup up up...

Karen, sorry about being swollen. But look on the bright side, the fashion police cannot get on you for wearing white after Labor Day now ;)

Lily & Sherry, stay safe in that yuck out there. As of now we are hopeful that the temps stay just where they are so we avoid the ice!

Hmmm... a bunch of preggers Ya Yas since they started dieting? I thought diets would help lose weight. But honestly I know what you mean about the bathroom thing. Diet or not, I dont drink enough... and when I do I swear I am always in the bathroom!

Nice catch there Nancy :p

John, do be careful on that ice!! I never hurt myself quite that badly due to winter weather (well while skiing, but that's a whole other ball game) but I still get scared to walk on ice. Thank goodness during our bad storm, Luis was off work and would always walk me where I needed if it was icy.

Kimmie... I swear you only have your fake b-day in there to get two presents :p

Don't wanna work... get me out of here!!

Good morning Y'all'uns

Happy Birthday Deena and all you sick folks get better quick.

Pam, those special movies must have gotten lost in the male, but I am willing to preview any home video that y'all want to send to give my honest opinion on whether or not it passes my strict censorship guidelines.

No need to thank me, that's just the giving sort of guy that I am. ;)

LOL yes kimmie its my real b-day. I dont change my day around to try to fool my friends like another yaya does :rolleyes1 :teeth: Although technically I wont be 40 til 3:15 today :p

Fruedian slip by chance?

No way you are 40 Deena!!! You look way too young for that!

Nah, it was correct as written. Some male postal employee took it ;)

Did you say my slip was showing???

Alan, I'm sure the "males" swiped them out of the "mail"!! ;)

Liz - I hear ya on the short colklege break - she didn't finish until Dec. 18th.
:guilty: Some of the other universities don't start back until after MLK Day.

Pam, our winter breaks were about that short as well. I remember having to convince Luis one year to stay a day longer so he could stay for my sister's birthday (on the 18th). We always went back on the first possible day after the 1st as well. Now summer was better, we didn't go back until mid to late Sept :teeth:

Hey there, ya ya family! I have been sooooo busy here at work, but I think I have finally got caught up for the most part. Still a couple of things hanging--one boss is sick and keeps sending me emails or IMs and the other is being very demanding with this little project or that little spreadsheet or whatever. I told him I need to know about the bonus checks they want to issue to themselves, because I can't do payroll for this week until the bonuses are in!! Now today is the last day I can send in this week's payroll and I still don't have an answer on the bonuses!! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

I have been fighting with Imagestation over my pictures from last week, but I think I might finally have the right link. Try: http://www.imagestation.com/album/p...849903&mode=invite&DCMP=isc-email-AlbumInvite I just hope it works!!

I am so sorry to hear about all the nasty weather--ice, snow, schools closed, etc. I guess I won't complain about our gloomy skies and the rain--we have forecasted highs at or near 50º for the next 2 weeks!!! I guess winter is stuck over Canada, Indiana, Ohio, and PA. Sigh.......this snow bunny is thinking she needs to move north!

Karen, I am so very, very sorry your meds are causing such an uproar with you! I know how depressing it is when you can't fit into your clothes and you feel so unlovely. Thankfully, you know that this is only temporary and will eventually pass. I know that doesn't make your current situation any better, but at least it gives you something to look forward to.

JRKaren, a big  for you too. My funk raises it's ugly head every November--it was Nov. 2001 that my daughter told me to stay the H-E-double hockey sticks out of her life and she hasn't spoken to me since. We used to be so close, too. I'm sure it doesn't compare to what you have been going thru, but it's close.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEENA!!! So ya had your own personal dishwasher last night, huh?! Hope all your GREAT boys pitch in and give you some well-deserved time off today, since it's YOUR day, after all!! Enjoy!!

Sherry, sounds like it's your turn for the shower of bad news.

Bigtime prayers going out for your SIL and the whole family. That's such a tough situation! I just hope she is feeling better today and by some miracle, things turn out all right. And your poor hubby!! How frustrating that there is no work for him with his restrictions. Keeping him in my prayers, still. Hoping that his shoulder gets healed once and for all!

Hey, Rose Mary!! That is a beautiful tatoo, you've chosen!! I love fairies and that is an excellent drawing!! I will have to be like Liz and live vicariously through you--the only tatooes I can stand get washed off in the shower

Speaking of Liz!! It sounds like you and Greg are passing this thing back and forth, now! Good grief!! You finally got better before Christmas and then he got it. Now that he's better, you've got it back?!! Gonna hafto have a chat with that PD fairy about making sure you BOTH get liberally doused with PD and feel better soon!! And yes, you remembered rightly, Tuesday is my "Play Grandma" day and I got to babysit for the 3 little princesses last night. I had 3 rough and tumble, loud and obnoxious little guys, too!! Thank goodness I had enough glow-in-the-dark bracelets for everybody!!

Lily, I am sending the PD fairy to douse you good, too! Can't have you feeling icky for your first marathon, even if it is only a half! Hope you get to feelin' better by the time you head for WDW again and have a wonderful, magical trip!!

Nancy, sorry you aren't happy with your weather, either. Glad to hear you were able to get out to a movie though! So what did you think of the previews for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?! Hard for me to get Gene Wilder out of my mind, but I really liked Johnny's look! Quite a change from his Edward Scissorhands and Cry-Baby days--not to mention Capt. Jack!!

Shoot.....gotta do a little work......BRB

I dont change my day around to try to fool my friends like another yaya does
uglybag.gif
...

Nancy! You have a scrapbook room?! A whole room!? Not that I'm jealous or anything, but... but... sniff sniff... that is sooo excellent! :cloud9: I have a scrapbook corner. I AM able to leave everything out though, so that's nice!

JRKaren, you're in my thoughts. I hope you're able to shake the funk soon.

Missing POTC CDs!? Ack! Not good! Needing Hootie CDs. Yes! Must have Hootie CDs! ;)

Lily, thinking of you this week as you prepare for the marathon!

Beth, a hug to you!

Ewwwwww! Tara is ready to eat raw and wriggling things? Hide the furbabies! Snork. My weight loss plan: Walk the treadmill until I can't see straight. I can't "diet". Makes me cranky. Sigh.

RM, the tattoo is beautiful!

Karen, leaving a hug here for you!! Hang tough. This will all pass soon and before long you'll be able to focus on the weight loss. I know it's got to be so frustrating! Hugs to you!

Hello to WMKathy!!

Skinny cow stuff is yummy!

TC, good news regarding the ankle. I hope it continues to behave. :)

Hey!! Today's my birthday! No really!!! :smooth:

Elaine and Alan - ya both sneated in while I was posting my "male" comment!! :)
I knew that Elaine would catch that one!! puckerup:

Elaine - DD should get out of college the end of April - but she'll start back the end of August. :guilty: She was a pretty sad little girl last night. It was almost like her first day of college all over again....

Liz I was at the doctors yesterday. I asked about the swelling then but he didnt want to put me on yet another thing seeing as he was putting me on heavy stomach meds. I did call him this morning and told him I just cannot function the way I am and he called in a pretty heavy dose of fluid pills for me. Im feeling better now that I am in looser pants and my doctor that I work for has no problem with me not wearing white for a few days until some of this goes down and I can get into my regular pants. All this is a pain and gets depressing but I do know that as I go down in dose in the Prednisone this all will resolve. Its just getting to that point right now. I get a little upset and depressed at times. There are times I want to just say to heck with the Prednisone but I cannot do that or risk ending up in the hospital with a relapse of the lung problems. I have to keep that uppermost in my mind when I feel this way. This too shall evenutally pass.

JRKaren...I am right there with you. I was just mentioning to Todd this morning that this weekend would have been my parents' 41st anniversary. The 25th is the 1 year annivesary of my Mom's death. I am trying my best to focus on the positive things right now.

Sherry...pulling your hair out yet????

Beth...I know you took more pictures than that at the museum...you hiding them?

Liz...I will PM you the recipe before I get off this computer. Get better.

As for weightloss...I will know tomorrow. I am sure I have lost. On a diet of 1/2 can of soup and a piece of bread or 2 per day, I have gotta. Yup..that is about all I have been able to eat. One day it was a orange with 2 piece of bread. I am getting a little more down today. I already had 1/2 a bagel, 1/2 can of soup and some orange juice. I am going to force myself to eat some dinner. I have to say, that it is easier to start dieting after being sick because all the cravings are gone;) atleast for me that is how it is.

Karen...sorry about the swelling. I have to say after working in a hospital for a while I swore off white for the longest time, enjoy the black pants today.

Elaine...new ipod. Those should really nice. Wouldn't mind one myself, but with the credit card bills coming in, don't see it happening. Never pay interest so all funds have to go to them.

Pam...hope your daughter cheers up soon.

Can take the gal away from the Yayas, but ya can't take the YAYA out of the gal! :cheer2:

Just a quick 'hi'!:)

(Didya notice Tara running back and forth to the bathroom every five minutes today? I think she's knocked up again. I wonder if she found a man THIS time!)

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Ok, who let the germies out? :sad2: Left work around 9:30, I was feelin' poorly. Stuffy head, cough, earache, whine, whine, whine.............Slept for a couple hours then my tummy woke me up. Now it's back to bed for me.
Someone get the LYSOL!
