Whew!! You can tell I've been out of the office for a week!! I have finally pawed thru all the paperwork and mail and found my desk, LOL! And, of course, the doo-doo has hit the fan again Fed Ex just can't seem to quit damaging our shipments lately. boss said he thinks the drivers are doing it deliberately, instead of actually going on strike. whatever, I don't like it!!!

Sending out prayers and PD for Karen, Lily, and any others who are feeling under the weather. Should I be sending prayers and PD for snorky Pam and Boo, or does that require bail money?!

Love your little guys, Caroline! Individually, they can be so sweet and cuddly. At the store where I first saw them, they smelled to high heaven!!! Oh my, what a stink!!!

No time to ketchup right now, just wanted to let y'all know that Junior goes back to work tomorrow! He has a small tear, tendonitis, and burcitis (sp?). The tear doesn't require surgery, though. He has to have some tests done later to see what restrictions he will have with the shoulder.

As for the cruise, we are heading out of Mobile to go to a couple stops in Mexico. Just a 5 night cruise... we've never done one before so this should be fun. I also (unless something bad happens) get to meet our very own 'Bama Boy at the end of it (before we fly home). Oh and good luck planning your Feb trip... I think that one is definite now if he mentioned it

Just finished dinner. My sauce....moms recipe....came out DELISH if I do say so myself and I just threw it together in about five minutes this morning!! The kids ate like there was no tomorrow and exclaimed that on a scale of 1-10 my sauce was a 10!!! Boy do I feel good right now. Thats two dinners in two nights that everyone has raved about! Makes me feel a lot better about cooking dinners myself. Dh normally does a lot of the cooking because I never really liked to and he loves to cook....he is also very good at it. It's been kinda fun to make some things on my own lately and it gives him a bit of a break. Feels nice that everyone has loved what I have made too.

Caroline you know since you posted the pictures of your babies that I have wanted to go pet one. Too bad the petstore hasnt opened by us yet. We are patiently patiently waiting.

Nancy Im glad you got everything you wanted to get done finished. Im glad your back is feeling better.

Liz sounds like you had a blast!!! How neat that you got to meet some of the cast!!!

Im back. All scrubbed up and smelling pretty!!! I told dh he could shop for me at B&BW ANYTIME. I am throughly enjoying everything he picked out for me. I feel so special and pampered when I use it. I'm taking care of me! The kids were so good and stayed in their room and played quietly while momma took a shower. It was a nice relaxing time without someone at the bathroom door wanting to get in for one reason or another. Ahhhhhhhh what a nice night this has been!!!

Oh Elaine how KEWL!!! How do you like it?? I have thought about an Ipod myself. Which one did you get? I hear there are several. My BIL got one for Christmas and he loves it.

Dh is being oh so sweet. He is making me Sleepytime tea in his favorite way to help me sleep tonight. He was so cute a minute ago when I got up. He said "Um honey I think your plans for tomorrow nights dinner are a no-go the Um crockpot broke while I was cleaning it." I felt so bad because he felt bad. What he didn't know is I have a second one thats round....my oblong one is the one that broke. He felt so much better when I pulled that out and told him dinner is fine for tomorrow. I think he expected me to get mad.....but how could I??

Karen, so far I really do like the iPod. I am up to adding songs from a 4th CD I have (it's taking longer for me to upload my CDs to my computer at this moment than anything else) so I should have about 4 hours of music on it by tomorrow. I wanted to get a Third Day CD as well as a Clay Aiken CD on it before the day is done, but we'll see I'll let you know as I go, how I like it!

Sorry you lost a crock pot, but so glad that you have a spare!

Been watching the Aubrn/V Tech game... looks like Auburn might pull this one off Luis is rooting for Virginia though... I'm just kind of glad the season is over!

Karen, kudos on the dinner raves. I've got three crockpots, so I can relate to the two. The first one I got when I moved to Maryland and it doesn't have the removeable porcelain. The other two were gifts-a big oval and a medium round-and we still were looking at them at Costco yesterday, lol!

The roof is completely done on the house now and they started putting up the tarpaper. Woohoo.

Went over to Mom's and made her and Ed happy. I cooked dinner and did the cleaning as I went, so there was only plates from dinner to go in the dishwasher. It was kinda funny, because when I was a teen, I cooked all the nights mom worked. The mom had my chicken cutlets, and she wouldn't even cook them anymore. So, of course tonight's menu was chicken cutlets-but I made them parmesean. Got sent home with cookies and my favorite sour cream coffee cake-she is testing the new house's oven to see how well it bakes.

I want my new daytimer pages...I need to start planning some stuff and can't do it without my calendar!

Liz, I got your request and will add your HtH ride and topper to my list. Heck, any other rides I should do? If Ed's working by then (please, o please) then I can just go over, buy the toppers and ride ToT over and over that day, lol!

My former neighbors are so sweet-both of them are emailing me about what's going on up North. Wish I could move them next door to us down here. At least we introduced them to two of our closest friends and they socialize now.

Caroline, the soup I'm making is similar to the Le Cellier Soup. Kevin's been asking for the Barley and Hops soup, so it's time to make some.

I'm a happy camper-local strawberries! I think I need to figure out how to make strawberry preserves. Right now, they're topping my ice cream.

Suzanne that is so kewl that the roof is almost done on your house!!! YEA!!! I can't wait to see pictures of it. I know what you mean about looking at more crockpots. I always look when I am at stores like Walmart and such. They have some new neat ones with more heat options on them. I told dh that a new oblong crockpot would be a great idea for a gift for me. I am never against an appliance for a gift.

I've been wandering around that Temperpedic Mattress thread and I think I have come up with a way to make a bed just like it for a lot less money so we can get it faster. They want about 1700 dollars for the real ones here. I can make one with a topper for a lot less than that. Still thinking on that though as I really would like the real one. We are also looking into taking a loan off dh's 401K when this loan is paid off so we can pay off his SUV which has a very high interest rate so we might be able to pull off a little more and get the bed too. We shall have to see what the payback is and what's available for loan. It will be paid off in Feb so not too long to go!

Elaine have fun downloading all your music. Too kewl. It sounds like you are gonna have a great time with your IPOD. I have so many CD's that I would love to put on one. I don't have a CD player in the car so I can only play my CD's at home. It would be nice to be able to take them with me.

Got home from town today to find peanut brittle (left it out on the table) all over the floor. Wondered which critter (cat or dog) was the culprit. The dog tried to deny it, but when I found peanuts stuck in her fur, she had very little to say for herself.

Karen, I glad to hear you're feeling better!! Memory foam pads/beds... wonderful!! Get a pad! My inlaws have one and they love it and our Tempurpedic bed has been such a blessing!
