Love that pic of Alan!!

That rock thread is just too much. I really hope she is joking. :scratchin :crazy2: :rolleyes1 :confused3
Just turn out the light if you don't have candy. Duh!

Good evening everyone! Can I just say I hate the time change in the fall. I hate getting home in the dark :(

No time to write to everyone (and there's far too much to ketchup on), but hopefully soon I'll have more time to pay write instead of just reading :)

Also, if anyone is interested and needs help falling asleep, I have posted the first two days of my trip report on the trip report board. Part three should be up later tonight.

That's all for now.

Who knows what 2 key combination it takes to change the 'tab' key back to a real tab key instead of going back and forth between applications? Driving me insane.

Just finished typing the letter to the company that provided 'defective' underlayment to our builder. Trying to get them to replace our kitchen, pantry, powder room, laundry room and master bathroom flooring. Not getting my hopes up, we are past the warranty time...but they did say they would process and consider everything.

Now if I could get motivated to clean...was set on doing that but lost motivation. The girls aren't use to being with each other all day and with school out today they are driving each other crazy....as well as me.

Pam...quit mentioning that, makes me go look at it again.

Sherry, I think she had to be joking... really... or at least I hope so

I guess I am an oddball and really enjoy the time going back to normal. I like having the sun begin to rise *before* I go in to work (before it started to come up just about an hour after I got in :()

Amanda, just try pressing "Alt" again... I never had it "stick" like that before. I could be missing something obvious :p Good luck with teh flooring though... sounds like a pain!

Here are some photos of the girls...looks like everyone is going to bed early or out partying:eek: Did you forget to stop by and pick me up?????

Mandy loved being a Cowgirl....although the hat was removed right after the picture was taken.

Sleeping Beauty has arrived.....Todd said the shoes had to go once they started walking, so Sleeping Beauty wore gym shoes after the picture was taken.

For the rest of the pictures, including the pumpkin carving....here is the link.

Amanda, Cassie & Mandy look adorable!!!! And the pumpkin bread looks very good!!! Looks like y'all had fun carving too!!

Hiya Ya Yas!
Sorry, sooo tired. I still can't adjust to the change of time here. I have read (well sort of) Pics are great! Thank you all. I am going to go back and have another looksee later.
Alan a Jedi knight? Whoa!
:earseek:
G'nite
Zzzzzz

I hate it when I can't sleep

Lily, amazingly this is the time change I don't have trouble adjusting to. Oh and the not sleeping has nothing to do with it (stupid greasy food kept me up late last night and woke me up early)

Anyone around to zonk me out? :o

Morning Sherry. I was able to get another hour or so of sleep in. Forutnately I am taking a half day off today, so I can take a nap after I bring my dad home from his procedure (and voting after that). Hopefully I'll last the four hours until 11 am :teeth:

Morning.....voted just before 6am today, would have went sooner had I known they would start before the official time. I'm just glad I don't have to drag the girls this evening...Todd will though.

Elaine...hope you get a nap today. Thanks for the 'tab' info. I can never remember if it is CTRL or ALT. It was ALT and TAB together. As for the pumpkin carving, Mandy did not care for it. For a girl who loves to hunt for bugs I was amazed at how upset she got at a pumpkin seed getting on her arm.

Trying to decide if I should call for a Dr. appt. Sinus still bothering me, not as bad as last week...but it seems to not be going away. Feel good one day and not so good the next.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Excuse my senseless rambles... my dad is going in for a colonoscopy today and he hasn't eaten solid food since yesterday. He sort of passed out as he tried to walk over to the high school to vote. So I got a call from someone telling me about it. Luis had just gone over to vote so I called him immediately to go to where my dad was. Long story short, they are going to take him in to the ER for an hour and probably put some more liquids in him and hopefully do the colonoscopy later. Luis was told to finish voting and then go over there after. I am told to stay put until I am called again. It isn't anything major (so they tell me) but this is not something I am good at (waiting)

Amanda, glad I helped out... I use that Alt+Tab often at work. I will admit though, I was kind of a tomboy and did all sorts of things as a kid, but the feel of pumpkin stuff just was icky to me :p

*sigh*
I hate feeling like this...

I have talked to my dad 2x now. Luis is there with him and they are pretty sure he was partially dehydrated and just low on energy. So they are going to release him and the doctors at the other place he is getting his colonoscopy done say he's good to do the test still (based on everything). So Luis (as planned) will take him over to the place and I will leave at lunch to pick him up.

So here I stand talking to myself ;) but all will be good for him. I pray the rest of the day is a little less exciting...

Hope your dad gets to feeling better soon. I had a colonoscopy a few years back and couldnt have any food for 3 days :crazy2:
I probably should have another soon since I have colitis, just to keep an eye on things.
I had our family vacation for June all planned out and dh cant get that week off :( I wanted the first week of June--he can only get the last. No way am I going to Disney during that time, lol. And our school calendar for next year isnt out so I cant try to plan around long weekends.
David and I voted last week--thank goodness since its pouring today. But I was kind of looking forward to being accosted by Michael Moore :teeth:

Great pics Amanda; I enjoyed the album! Your girls are beautiful. ::yes::

Lela and Abigail both wore Sleeping Beauty gowns to school yesterday.

It was "Reformation Day" celebrating the beginning of the Protestnat Reformation and students were encouraged to dress in any Renaissance type outfits.

Younger children were told they could wear the Disney gowns which saved us from making an outfit :teeth:

Elaine...sorry to hear about your Dad. Colonoscopies aren't fun to start with, added issues are not good. You are probably on your way to get him right now. Give us an update when you get a chance.

DW Sue asked me to find out how much my broken ankle cost the company where I work. Since I am entitled to that info, I put in a request for the info and I got a 10 page report emailed to me this afternoon. I thought that I would share the total (so far) that my little slip on the ice cost.

Not including the wages that my company paid me while I was recovering, the cost for surgeons, casts, medicine, physical therapy, and everything else was close to $23,000. And I still have at least one more followup visit to my doctor in the pipeline.

I guess that's why they are putting in all new heated sidewalks and a brand new parking lot. $23,000 buys a lot of deicer.

Hope your dad is doing better this afternoon Elaine. The prep for a colonoscopy is none to easy even on the healthiest individuals. I hope the results of the test give him a clean bill of health.

Hi y'all... I'm home... and tired. My Dad is all taken care of and has a clean bill of health. He's now at home asleep (hopefully). I feel like following ;)

Deena, sorry about the scheduling troubles for the vacation. I don't blame you for not wanting to go the last week of June.

Alan, how cool that they can wear Disney outfits... I bet you had two beautiful princesses :)

Wow, John... that is one expensive fall!!! Just sorry you have to deal with the after effects of it.

Tired... not awake enough to say much else :wave2:
