Evening Ya Yas,
Man alive, is it cold here today! We went out to do the last of the Christmas shopping (well, it was *supposed* to be the last) without checking the temperature. Without the wind it wasn't so bad, but even a little breeze - brr! The evening news gave the temp as 0ºF with a windchill of -27! No wonder we thought it was brisk!

Winter can be over now, I think. On the plus side, I have now submitted all my applications/transcripts/supporting documentation/blood samples/retinal scans, so I can breath a bit easier on the grad school front. 'Course now it's jut a long winter of waiting.
Beth, congrats on the new apartment! It sounds like a good deal. Thanks for the grad school well-wishes. I'll have to see if I can find that song.
Nancy, if your son does decide to do the GRE, let me know if he'd like any advice (nosey me - heehee). I just wrote it in October, and it's still fresh in my mind.
Elaine, hope your congestion is decongesting!
lvs_eeyore, hope you're feeling better soon too (sorry, I don't have my names cheatsheet out!)
Lily, after today's weather U of Miami is looking sooooooooo good! Actually even at WDW earlier this month, after getting on the plane in Toronto in the sleet and getting out in Orlando to 85º, I said to my husband "You know, this is a definite point in favor of Miami!".

Hope you didn't get too cold shoveling. Your mom sounds so sweet!
JRKaren, it was good chatting with you too. I will definitely try to get in there more often. 14 hours of OT is a lot in one week! Hope you can take some time to enjoy it soon.
Suzanne, hope you guys have fun looking at the WDW Christmas decorations. Make sure you see the carousel in the Beach Club. That thing was really amazing.
Kimmar, glad to hear your DS is on the mend. Hope your DH doesn't pick anything up though!
Ok, I'm off to cuddle under a blanket, I think. I wonder if I could do my thesis on a weather controlling machine.
