Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

I stay inspired by thinking about turning 40 and also wanting to be able to fit into my summer shorts for my Disney trip!!
Um, I'm also turning 40 this summer... but mainly my motivation is I want to go on our next cruise NOT FAT. I'm sick of being miserable not fitting any of my cute clothes I still have and keep waiting to fit into again and not wanting to get into a swimsuit on the ship/etc. I'm on a tight timeframe here... and not doing as well as I did last time I lost in 2003. wahhhhhhhhhhh

Ohwell, I'll keep on trucking along doing the best I can!

It's that time of the week for another COW. The COW 3/13 is on pg 140

HOw are you doing? I have been pretty good. I think so far I only didn't make the 5000 steps once but I did everything else. I even hit 13000 steps one day. How about you?

COW Week 3/20

This week you need to….

Drink 8 cups of water a day
Eat 3 servings of veggies a day
Walk 7,000 steps a day ~about 3.5 miles depending on your stride
(the goal is 10,000 a day ~5 miles, but we will start slow. If you make 10,000 by all means let me know!)
Eat 2 servings of fruit a day
Take 5 minutes each day to do something for yourself. Read a book, knit, meditate, do your nails

Notice I changed the number of steps for this week


Here is a refresher of the COW rules in case you are new or forgot. I will post a new COW sometime every Thursday. Each challenge week begins 12:01 am Friday morning and runs till midnight Thursday night. I figure posting the COW on Thursday gives you a little time to “plan” out how best to complete the challenge before the clock starts. Please PM me your score by Monday morning of the following week. (So tomorrow’s challenge score is “due” the 20th, although I recommend you pm it to me on Friday when you email Brenda your weight.)
If you chose not to do the COWs at all, or only get around to doing a few items on the list that is perfectly fine. The idea is to get you thinking and doing new things on this road to a new you, not to stress you out.

So here is how this version will work. Every Thursday I will post a new task to add to the previous tasks. This should help you establish good habits during this BL. I got this idea from the 12 days of Christmas song actually. So,

Week 1 all you need is the partridge and the pear tree
Week 2 you will need the turtle doves and the partridge
Week 3 you need the French Hens, turtle doves and partridge
And it goes on

So this week you will report...
I drank my 8 cups X days
I ate my veggies X days
I walked 7,000 steps X days
I ate fruits X days
I did something for myself X days
Or if you are really good, I walked 10,000 steps X days!

I hope your weigh in was successful. I am down 2 more pounds. I haven't lost a lot but I am getting on track and that is what is important to me.

Don't forget to send me your COW for 3/13 and the new one for 3/20 is up. It hasn't changed much but the amount of steps for each day has been upped.

Congrats Dona!! That's awesome. I am in the same boat, down 1.8 this week, but not much overall, but am back on track for the past week, and planning to stay there! We can do it!! Let's have another successful week, and finish this challenge with a bang!!

Down another .5 this week - I need another .5 and I'll hit the 40 pound loss that I've been working on since the end of August, it has for sure been slow but I'll take it. I know that once the weather stays opened up and I can stay on a schedule with our walking, it will pick up some.

A busy day on the plate here, hope everyone is doing well and that you all have a great weekend!!

I am down 2 more pounds this week. I adjusted my goal to a 15 lb. loss for this challenge which is still in range. I'm just so happy to be down from where I started even though it isn't as much as I'd hoped.

Dona, thanks so much for taking care of the COW. I am going to work really hard on the COW when I get back from San Francisco in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I am using them more as a guideline, instead of a code, if know what I mean. pirate:

This is a hard question as I love all of them, especially the animated ones. I will go with Beauty and the Beast as number 1.

I'm popping in as a sub for coaching for a day or so. OhMom is having some computer issues but hopes to be back up and running soon. So, you'll have me for a couple of days.

QOTD Friday - What plans do you have this weekend?

This was the first question that popped in my mind so there is our QOTD;) . My plans include getting my card stock cut for an upcoming card class that I'm having next week. I also have a staff yearbook meeting to attend tomorrow from 9am-noon and I know there will be donuts so my plan is to eat my breakfast before I get there and not be tempted by those empty calories. Would also like to find some cross-stitching and crochet time but I'm afraid I'm going to run out of hours before I get it all in:scared1: .

I will be packing for our spring break trip to San Francisco. I also need to help DS 9 finish his science fair project. We will all be glad when it is done!

QOTD Friday - What plans do you have this weekend?

I am going to a play tonight that one of my students is in.

Tomorrow I will be picking up my ds1 from the airport. He is coming home from a week in Spain where he went to visit his girlfriend. Maybe even going up to see my parents since they live 15 minutes from the airport.

Sunday I have to ds2 back to college because his spring break is over. Dh has something to go to so I have make the trip by myself.

QOTD- it's all about DD this weekend...tomorrow morning/afternoon, cheer comp; tomorrow at 4, 11th bd party sleep over w/her and her 8 closest friends; Sunday 9:30 church - her last 1st com. class; Sunday at 4 - cheer! Spending late Sunday morning/early Sun afternoon w/DD and DH after a sleep over -priceless!:rotfl:
 
Sounds like everyone has lots of plans for the weekend. One good thing about staying busy is that it keeps us from thinking about snacking, right??

I have some very cool plans for this weekend. I'm going to a DIS meet. We plan on going to DL and DCA in the morning and then we will meet our DIS friends at Dave & Busters for an late lunch/early dinner.

QOTD Friday - What plans do you have this weekend?
Not much for me this weekend. I am on call today 7a-7p, so we lay low, clean the house. I'll go to my ww meeting, and hope I don't get called in during it. Tomorrow we plan to take a nice long bike ride, and get out in the yard. I go grocery shopping in the morning while my son is in ccd.

I have some very cool plans for this weekend. I'm going to a DIS meet. We plan on going to DL and DCA in the morning and then we will meet our DIS friends at Dave & Busters for an late lunch/early dinner.
That sounds like fun. It must be awesome to be close to a disney park.

I maintained again. Ugghh, gets frustrating after a while. I guess it is better than gaining!

Favorite Disney Movie: Oh, there are so many, and each has a different meaning to me:

Sleeping Beauty
Pocahantas (brings back memories of sitting on the couch with DS watching this over and over again)
Toy Story ( just love it!)
Cars (saw it on DCL)
Song of the South (finally understood what Splash Mountain was all about! and it's kind of cool having a copy!:lmao: )
Mulan (loved watching it with DD)

And so many more!
 
I know that I answered the QOTD but Vija brought up some thoughts.

The Disney movie that I associate with ds2 is Beauty and the Beast. Yes it is pretty funny but I do. It was the first movie I took him to. He must have been less than 2. Just as they were about to dance he started to cry. I spent the next few minutes holding him in the back of the theater rocking him so that I could watch the movie.

When he was 4 he got tickets with the rest of us to see the Broadway show. He sat there mezmerized.

When he was junior in high school there were rumors of his school doing B&B but we were too close to NYC. At the end of junior year they had announced that the show would close at the end of July. For his birthday he asked us to take him to see the show. So we took my sister and ds's cousin to see the show. It was such fun to sit next to my son. He had spent 3 years working backstage at his school and to see what a BRoadway show could do amazed him.

2 weeks later they announced that the school had the rights to do the show. He was co-stage manager in charge of a good deal of the scenerey since he had the side of the stage that went out into the hall. I got to work with the costume/ scenerey guy on the costumes. It was great fun to work on that with my son. That show won a big award here in the county and he was happy to part of that crew.

SOrry this was so long but it does have great memories for me.
