Hi guys.
I have been really busy this week and just have not had much "fun time" on the computer. This is a really big thread and I just cannot keep up with it or make as many individual comments as I would like, but I just want to say that you are all awesome. To those of you struggling and going through such rough times, my heart is with you and my admiration to the zenith just for hanging in.
We all should be proud of ourselves for doing this.
I was up .2 pounds this week and did PM that to Brenda (I can PM now - yeah!). To WW, that is basically staying the same. I did have some days where I ate too many points but have not really been out of control.
I also PMed the COW results, but not sure I am doing it right.
I'll briefly try to answer the QOTDs here:
Sunday's QOTD:
What is your favorite "Go To" meal that you make yourself when you are in a pinch, or the family is eating something you can't eat?
There is nothing I cannot eat, that is the beauty of WW. I have long ago given up on making extra meals for me, it just does not work and makes me get out of control really easy. We use a lot of frozen dinners here. We don't have the same choices up here that you Americans have (we have far fewer products) but I like some of the newer WW dinners and there is one that I get at my grocery store that only has four points. It is a really nice hamburger/pasta with the noodles in the shape of Winnie the Pooh.
In a pinch there is my old peanut butter and molasses which I have loved since childhood.
Monday QOTD -
1. What is your favorite restaurant or type of restaurant (example -Japanese, mexican, chinese), for eating a healthy OP meal that you feel good about yourself when you leave knowing you are still on track when you leave.
Almost anywhere - because many of the restaurant chains post the points on WW online for their products.
The other day, we took my girlfriend to Pizza Delight as it was her birthday and she ate free. I got garlic fingers with cheese and donair sauce (9 points) and a small "shot glass" dessert for 3 points. I found that delicious and satisfying.
Not the healthiest meal I have ever eaten, but OP - remember that, at this size, have a lot of points.
2. What do you order?
I usually order chicken, potatoes and a vegetable and either a small (real small - restaurants these days are tuning in and offering bit sized desserts)
dessert or share one with DH.
I have to limit Chinese to 5 -6 times per year because I don't like any of the healthy stuff, just the deep fried real nasty (for the body) stuff.
Japanese, I love. We don't have enough Japanese restaurants here. I like the chicken/shrimp terriyaki dish I buy at a fast food place in the Halifax Shopping Centre. Everything is sauted in water and you can buy the sauce to take home (which I do). The sauce is without points, if you portion it out.
Tuesday's QOTD: Who is someone who inpires you and gives you hope.
This could be someone from History, someone living today, someone you know or even someone who inspires you to live your healthiest life.
The family member suffering from the eating disorder. I watch her and try to adopt her efforts and courage.
QOTD - Wednesday:
Whatare your favorite treat's that are still relatively healthy?
I like Fiber One bars and low fat pudding. Special K have some good bars out now too.
Thursday QOTD:
What is your next event that makes you nervous about staying on track?
What is your game plan to get past this event and stay on track/OP?
None I can think of really - I am on a lifestyle change not a quick fix.
QOTD: What is your strategy to stay on your healthy eating/exercise plan THIS weekend??
Chart every day, train every day (includes rest days) and be positive every day - WE CAN DO THIS.
I missed church this morning because I did not get my butt in gear quickly enough, and that upsets me because I need to be there. I feel out of balance when that is not in my life.
Doubt I will get there tonight because I have an appointment and DH, I think, wants to catch a flick.
Oh well, I will enjoy my time with him.
Have a "magical losing day" folks
Linda
