My first week. Friday's Question of the Day: What is one positive change you made the first week of the challenge?
I am eating a ton more vegetables. And did any of you go through this
"gastric experience" when you changed your eating habits? Let's just say it's a good thing I have a private office and sleep alone.
I lost 1.9. Not sure why it's not a full 2 (I think I was holding my breath on the scale--how much does air weigh???

)
I started a WISH Journal: I will copy my first post to share so feel free to keep with me. I intend to post weekly so any help, advice, etc. would be appreciated.
My goal was to be able to make it through Disney without the use of an
ecv in May. My PT looked at me like I was crazy but said 'Well, that's a goal". He also said I can come by and use the treadmill ANYTIME (without charge).
Anyway: my first journal entry:
Downsizing--Matronly Queen to Princess
________________________________________
Okay--who am I kidding? I will probably never see "princess size" again.
But I started this week.
Let's see: after 4 days of eating weight watcher meals (with a side of veggies) for lunch and dinner I realized I am going to have to start cooking again. I can not live on only prepared foods. Plus my BP SOARED. So--searching online for recipes and friends at work are bringing in WW cookbooks.
After eating veggies for a few days I realized that my body is just not used to them. Let's just say some gastro upsets were frequent this week.
Proud of myself: today I actually tried some black beans. I didn't throw up and they actually were ok. So I will add them to the list of things "I will eat but not too often".
Excercise: 30 minutes of Richard Simmons on Sunday, 30 minutes of walking Tuesday and Thursday. PLUS I got off the elevator one floor before mine and walked the steps at least once every day (two flights).
Bad days: Wed. the girls went out for Chinese for lunch. I couldn't figure out EXACTLY how many points are in that da** food plus I know it's high in sodium so I stayed behind and ate my WW. Wed. afternoon at our monthly staff meeting we had cake for the January birthdays (of which I am one) and I didn't eat any. Today--we had a King Cake and I didn't have any of that either. (I am saving my bad girl day for my birthday!!!! )
So I made it through a week.
Now on to week two.
Cyber hugs to all my new friends at WISH.
May you never meet a calorie you can't pass by.
