Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

Today is going good. What a nice 3 day weekend. I had Sushi both Friday night and Saturday and had my calorie range in the 1600 range. I was a bit afraid since Saturday and Sunday my scale was up a bit - but I knew it was because of the soy sauce. Luckily Monday and today the scale was back down and even at a new low - about to break the 170 mark and head into the 160's again. I vow to never ever go back to the 170's.

I'm just trying to take it one day at a time and one meal at a time. Many times I think of you all, and I really have been trying to be good when I do splurge (after I splurge) to reign it back in. So far this is working. Last night I wanted some peppermint bark we bought from William Sonoma (normally $27 on sale for $6). I promised myself I can have some - just in moderation. The calories are on the tin, so it should be easy to incorporate. I just have to pick the proper day when it fits into my calorie range for that day - and yesterday wasn't it since I wanted to keep my calories at my lower end both Sunday and Monday to make up for being high on Friday and Saturday.

This week I have another competition on Sunday. I know I can do well - I just hope it's not over too many hours where I will get too hungry and feel deprived.

The next weekend will be my toughest yet. DH and I have tix to see Jesus Christ Superstar in Philadelphia on Saturday and then Sunday is the Superbowl. I think I'm going to get sushi for me while they eat the junk. I can do this!! After Jesus Christ Superstar DH and I are going out to dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy. I plan on having the mushroom ravioli, calamari and we will split a tirimasu. I am not going to feel guilty about this one meal, so I have to make sure all my meals around it are good and eat at my low end of my range for the few days before and after. I also would like to make sure I exercise quite a bit that weekend to help offset it. DH and I don't get time alone too often - so I'm not going to feel guilty. Life is about enjoying yourself sometimes and this will be one of those occasions.

Hear Ye Hear Ye, the Weightkeeper speaks

If you are new check out our updated participant list here. Please make sure your name is on the updated list.

Before we begin the festivities I need to stress some things.

**With each weight report please state your current weight. ie xxx or xxx.x pounds.

**You may include your weekly progress if you would like. ie I lost x (or x.x) pounds this week. This can help me double check to make sure our figures agree.

**If reporting by email please include your DIS name.

Following these rules will may my job so much easier. Please do your part to alleviate the weightkeeper's headaches. Now we will look at -

I would love to comment on our week but I am short on time today. DH wants me to accomplish something in the office today and I really need to get to that. So let's move on to our superstar list.

Before the weekly superstar list comes the disclaimers.

**I am human and I make mistakes. If you have any questions please contact me. For your reference this is the magic percentage of weight lost formula - weight loss for the week divided by weight for last week times 100, that gives us the percentage.

**If you miss a week and return with a loss your percentage is adjusted to reflect missing one week.

**If you gain and then post a loss your percentage is adjusted. If your loss is less than last week's gain then you are not named a superstar because you are still working to lose the gain.

Now let's get to the good stuff. Who were our superstars of week 2? Maybe you. Today we will recognize those with a percentages of weight lost over 1.24%. That criteria may change from week to week.

Congratulations to our superstars and to all that are sticking with this challenge. Week two is a toughie when the scale doesn't seem to move as quickly as it did for week 1. Remember this is not a race or a contest, this is a lifestyle change. This little challenge is just for fun. The important thing is what you going to do to change your life for the better. Make those changes. Are you drinking your water and eating your fruits and vegetables this week? If not get with the program. You can do it. It will not always be easy but it will be worth it because you are worth it.

Keep working hard and the results will come. You can be a superstar if you do your best every week. Get to work superstar. I know you can shine.

Have a healthy day.

Congratulations to all the losers this week. Keep up the good work. YOu inspire all of us who did not do so well to try again this week.

Thanks.

Shelley, have fun at the concert. I hope the snow doesn't mess you up. Drive safely. It was fun to see it today, but I'm sorry that you have to drive in it tonight. I saw that we both made the top 20 - yea for us. Keep up the good work - Lisa.

Thanks Brenda for keeping track of all the numbers. Congrats to the superstars!

I am having a tought time staying on target. I am already slipping into the pattern of not enough time to exercise. So I must keep reminding myself to make the time, because I am worth. And now that we've booked a trip to DL for spring break, I really want to have more energy for that trip. And more strength for lifting kids up to see stuff. ;)

Thanks Brenda for all your hard work. :goodvibes

You're so right. We have to be good to ourselves and make the time.

Christa - that must feel great to see yourself there, eh? I mean after being frustrated at times. And with all your success and dedication.

Congratulations to you.

I CANNOT beleive that I made the list of weekly loosers, much less #10!:cool1:
This week has been a little harder, but this has given me an extra boost! It feels great, and makes me want to continue to work hard.:thumbsup2

We should all be very proud of ourselves. Every time we pass up cookies and choose an apple instead is a victory, even if we don't loose a pound. We are getting healthier!:cheer2:

Congratulations to everyone in this week's to 20! And especially to Anne! What a %!!!!

QOTD: I like Mogolian Stir Fry because I can choose my own ingredients - namely a huge pile of veggies and light on the sauce. Genghis Grill even has brown rice.

Lately I've been finding ample inspiration in my fellow WISH teammates. One who was sticking to his diet even in the midst of WDW Marathon Weekend. Another who took a big tumble and finished the half marathon anyway. A third who is having some personal challenges at the moment but always has a kind word to build someone else up. These are just a few recent examples - there are so many more I could name of people striving to do their personal best even when it's not easy.

Oh, my GOODNESS!! I WISH you all could have seen me when I weighed in on Friday!! I absolutely refused to believe the number I saw..so I weighed again..and again..went to another scale...just could NOT believe it!! I have been up a little and down a little for so long, that to see a big loss was just such a SHOCK. All I can say, is keep plugging along, doing what you know is right, and the scale will finally have to acknowledge it!! Sometimes I WISH this was a scale the little guy was bashing..:badpc:

How wonderful to see so many names that I recognize on the superstars list!! But really, if you had ANY kind of loss..that makes you a superstar!! And if you didn't..don't stop doing what you know you need to do. YOUR time is coming!!! :cheer2:

Being able to come here and read all of the great ideas has really helped me to stay on track..Thanks, BL'ers!! :grouphug: :goodvibes Anne

If you had a loss, a gain, or stayed the same be sure and pat yourself on the back! Making lifestyle changes is never easy. So a big congrats to everyone!

I just got up from the dinner table and I was thinking of making a dessert that I found the other day. I told my DH that I can't make it because I would eat most of it and it would have a lot of fat in it. I also told him that I could not watch the BL and eat that kind of dessert. I kept thinking to myself that I have a commitment and I don't want to blow it. I'm going to go walk 1 mile right now before BL. Thanks you guys - you help keep me grounded - Lisa.

Tuesday's QOTD:
On this historic Inauguration Day, I thought I'd give a QOTD that reflects how many see Barack Obama.

Who is someone who inpires you and gives you hope.
This could be someone from History, someone living today, someone you know or even someone who inspires you to live your healthiest life.

My inspiration and hope comes from my mom. She has battled her weight as long as I can remember. It goes up and she always fights to get back down. She 63 years old and still works full-time just b/c she wants to. Take no medicine and does not look like she is a day over 50.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats Losers!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

And to all the wanna-bes like myself, keep up the good work and press onward!!! next week... it's our time to be in the top 10!!!!

WATCH OUT LADIES HERE WE COME!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

No way! #3 :cheer2: I needed some encouragement this week! TOM snuck up on me this month and I have wanted chocolate like crazy! Fortunately there isn't anything but diet hot chocolate in the house.

Congrats to all the losers!! A big yeehaw to everyone participating getting off the couch is the biggest step of all!! Keep focused and run with it!

My Father is my inspiration. He has fought his weight all his adult life finally conquering it in his 60's. He now lives in Colorado and has started skiing and hiking! Proving to me it is never too late!

Congratulations to all of our superstars!! :cheer2: :cheer2: And to the rest of us let's give 'em a run for their money this week!!

Personally right now I'm very inspired by our new President, Mr. Barack Obama!! and I'm very hopeful for the possibilities ahead of us! It is so exciting to see how energized so many people are right now and I hope the energy will continue into positive changes for our nation.

I have also always found Mother Teresa to be a very inspirational figure. She was so giving of herself and I can only hope to be influenced by that attitude of service.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week this week!

Congrats to all on your losses! :thumbsup2

My son is my inspiration. He's full of life and love and I'll do anything for him.

Barack Obama is also incredibly inspiring and I'm ecstatic and hopeful for the future of our country. What an incredible day! We've made history, America!
