I keep seeing a lot of people talking about these tours and we have been trying to find one we might like. We enjoyed the one last year for the holidays but we don't want to do this one again. We want something different.

Can some one tell me these question about these tours please?

What rides are you taken on with each tour?
What if any show are you given fp for or vip seating's?
What if any special gifts Pins, Cups, snacks? Are with each tour.
How much are they for Disney Visa holders?

Thank you for any information you can give to these tours. I have read a few older reports and wonder if they are the same.

Any recent reviews?

I've done the Welcome to the Disneyland Resort tour. I think it is a great introduction to the parks. It's pretty inexpensive - I had a DVC discount, so it was only $20 and I think there was a Disney Visa discount as well. On our particular tour we went on the Little Mermaid ride in DCA and Pirate's in Disneyland. We were given FPs for Star Tours and Indy, and also a priority seating for Aladdin. We also were given a cute pin at the end of the tour. I really enjoyed it. If you have been to Disneyland several times, you might not get as much out of it, but I still think it would be a great tour to do on busy days.

I was thinking about this tour in December.
I'll have three grandkids coming with me, DGS-21, DGS-13 and DGD-11.

I have a few questions...
How long was the tour?
Where did the guide take you? What bits of info did they cover?
Were there specific times on the FP's for Star Tours and Indy?

We have been several times and I thought it might be a nice way learn a few things about Disneyland.
The price is easier than many of the other tours.

It starts at 10:30 am and is supposed to be 2 in half hours long. Any fp they give I think are good for that day only. No times given I think. I am going but have been many times and just think this tour will be fun for first day of the trip slow times.

If I ever get off my butt and get my TR rolling, I'll have a review of both the Discover the Magic tour and the California Story tour. The DTM was GREAT!!!!!! The kids were extremely engaged. I'd give it two thumbs up.

Attractions included Pirates, TSI, and Buzz if I recall (it will all be in my TR). I can't remember the price with DV/AP, but I'll have that in there as well.

Yes, Whoever, can't wait to read your trip report! Love seeing your photos and you have a beautiful family!

The tour was just about 2.5 hours. We started the tour by walking over from Disneyland to DCA. We basically walked through the whole park to get the layout of the different areas, and then went back over to Disneyland to do the same, taking a couple stops to experience some attractions. They do talk about some of the basics, such as what Fastpass is and how to use it. My tour was back in March and I can't really remember a lot of it. I didn't really learn much new-to-me information. There were a few bits of trivia/history of Disneyland, but most of it was things I already knew. It is a very reasonably priced tour, but I would say if you have been there many times, it might not be worth the time (although if you are into pin collecting, the pin that you receive is probably almost worth half the cost right there). If you go during a very busy time of year, the FPs and Priority Seating for a show may be worth it to you. I personally didn't even use my FPs, since I was solo and Star Tours isn't really my thing and Indy has a single rider line. For me, I'm used to WDW and when I went to Disneyland in 2008, I kept getting lost because I was looking for things where they would be in the Florida park. This tour really helped me slow down and take the time to learn the layout of the parks (I'm going the first week of December with several family members and I wanted to make sure I can get all 11 of us around the parks without any unnecessary backtracking).

I will note that my tour was the first one the guide had ever given, so maybe if you get a more seasoned guide, there might be more obscure trivia.

I hope this gives you a better picture of the tour. :)

Did you end up doing this? Considering adding a tour to our 5 day park hopper. :)

We didn't do the tour. My group wasn't interested.
Plus with Disney's Hubbub of setting up for the CP during our time, we just went with the FLEX plan.

We were able to see PTN twice, both times with nice views.

I'm thinking of the California Story Tour since I've done WIWF. I thought you could see Oswald on this tour and it is not in the description anymore. We are big Oswald fans.

Took the tour in November and Oswald was not included. However he always hangs out near the entrance of Buena Vista street and easily met him with less than a 5 minute wait.
