phowell13, that sounds like a great way to do NYC...

Hey, July 4th is on a Monday this year, maybe we should all take a trip somewhere and meet up???

:jumping2:

geffric: It looks like there is not one in Chicago. The website says NY, San Francisco, Seattle and DC in the US.

They have a website but the prices were really high.

We found some in Lord & Taylor and in the Macys on 34th (the Macys was not listed on the website). So if you have one in Chicago you might check there on the off chance they have them.

ohanafamily: Where did you have in mind? It would need to have lots of chocolate shops.

Well....I just got back from the doctor and I do have a sinus infection. He gave me 3 prescriptions: 1-antibiotic, 2-decongestant, 3-sleeping pill because decongestants won't let me sleep.

Thank you on the advice about the Z-Pack, I've used this before for something else (don't remember). I thought I would have that this time, but I have this other antibiotic instead.

I'm not going to go eat and lay in bed and warm up. I don't remember the last time I got chills like I've had with this illness. As much as I love my girls, I'm so glad that they're in their schools so I can lay down with peace and quiet.

Talk to you all later!!

Thanks for the trip planning help guys. I think I will talk to my friends about swapping the shopping and Busch Gardens days around. We are not going to do loads of shopping and I won't be too bothered if I don't get much. Pete and I have decided to do one of the tours at BG as we know it will be busy but it means we get front of the line access to the main rides.

NCBelle do you really have an Alton Towers section on your rollercoaster game?

We had a great day today. I went on the new ride, Rita Queen of speed which was good. 0-100kmph in 2.4 seconds!! There were some cool air hills where you fly up out of your seat which was fun. As we are AP holders we are allowed in the park half an hour before regular guests. We had to wait for the ride to open but once we had riden it the que was nearly 3 hours long!! That was great for us as the rest of the rides were walk on!!

Oh well, time to make dinner I guess.

Oh I almost forgot, Slo I hope you get better soon.

Chris Sawyer is a British guy who developed the first 2 Roller Coaster Tycoons made sure that Alton Towers layout/designs were available (we have the old version). We don't play it too much right---limited computer space and other geek stuff. One of these years, we will go do England for 2-3 weeks and hit some fun stuff and gorge on Cadbury choclates.

I'm hoping for a mini-getway in Mid-December...but, I need to get a part-time job---so I'm updating my references and resume'. NC Beast's schedule will hopefully be more flexible (we still have 1 car).

LLebrekniT---more pictures of your littles ones, please.

Hello everyone :wave2: - here I am, home from work another day. This morning I was feeling really bad, but now I'm feeling a little better - maybe the mediciane is finally starting to kick in.

I just love my job!! I've worked for the owners of my store for 17 years - since I was 16 years old. I just love them, like family. They are always so understanding when my kids are sick (which is alot, especially with BabyKate) or when I'm sick (which is not to often). I went into the store long enough to see if my boss had anywhere to go so I could mine the store. She told me she had nowhere to go and for me to go home and crawl under a blanket and watch some movies. She's really great!!

Since I never had a sinus infection before, I thought they were no big deal. I thought you would get a headache, then you would get an antibiotic, and then you would be better. Now that I know how terrible a sinus infection can be, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!!

ohanafamily & s&k'smom - thank you for asking about me. It's so nice to know that people care about you. :grouphug: I am hopefully on the road to recovery.

Well, I'm going to get a bite to eat and plant myself in front of the TV. I'm also hoping my eye doctor will call today with my repaired glasses because I'm getting really tired of walking around with sunglasses on all the time, especially at night time.

Talk to you soon - again thanks for the well wishes.

Hi All !!! :goodvibes
I am still MIA and I hope to catch up to you all soon... I never realized the more Free time I have, the busier I get... Maybe I should go back to work and school again so I have some Free Time... :rotfl:

SLO, I hope you get better soon....

Well we just found out that 2 of DH's Uncles are sick and in hospitals... I wish someone in the family would call us when it haooens and not a week or so later.. 1st Uncle, stepped on a Land Mine YEARS ago and had his leg amputated from the knee down, well know that part is infected so he needs an operation.. 2nd Uncle has 2 infections, 1 in the lungs, the other somewhere else and the DR can't operate on lungs until the other infection is cleared... They are both in the mid to upper 80s so it doesn't look like a good sign for either one of them.. I'll keep you all posted (IF we ever hear again about them) :guilty:

DS will be 15 :earseek: on Friday so we are going to be extremely busy this weekend.. DH's aunt & uncle are coming up from NC to receive a bronze statue of their daughter, who died at 19 of cancer.. so on Thursday we are all going for IceCream to celebrate DS's bday w/ DH's aunt & uncle.. Friday the 3 of us and my mother are going to dinner to celebrate DS's bday & mom's day.. Mom doesn't like Japanese and that is what son really wants so we made him a deal.. Go to dinner w/ grandma at her choice on Friday and we will go to Japanese on Sunday. Only because on Saturday we are going to the statue presentation and then to DH's cousin's 1st communion & party brunch.. Then Sunday..Mom's day, dinner at Ha Na Japanese ..yummmmm..... :cloud9:

So for ALL you Mommy's out there... HAVE A WONDERFUL HAPPY SAFE MOMMY'S DAY !!!!!! :cheer2:

Take care...

Good evening guys,

How is everyone today? slo I'm glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. DO what your boss says and stay at home!!

pfishgirl sorry to hear about your DH's uncles. PD to your family. It sounds like you have some fun days coming up though to enjoy.

NC Belle if you ever do come to England and want to tour some fun parks just ask and I will be happy to help out. I hope you have some luck finding a job soon.

ohanafamily how is TagBabyIan and RRBB doing? I haven't seen RRBB around for a while. Say Hi to her from me please.

Well work today was OK. I can't believe it is only 3 more days until exam week. I think if my kids didn't know how to do things now they never will. We found out today we have some inspectors coming in in the last 3 weeks of term. Just what we need when the kids are winding down. One of the days they are in we are having the dress rehearsal for the drama club play so I won't be teaching that afternoon. Oh well the inspectors can come and watch that instead!!

Well it is 7pm now and Pete has just returned home. I guess I should go and make some dinner. I would have made it a while ago but I have only been in for 20 minutes myself.

I'll be back later.

pfishgirl sorry about your uncles. All the best.

Busy day, did you ever look in your cabnet and and realize it was empty. Just spent $94 at the store and could have spent another $100 on more groceries. Of course was good no chocolate but mom's day will be a bonanza!

Hi guys,
Boy it sure is quiet around here, no posts in over 24 hours!!

Oh well, I hope everyone is OK. Not much to report here, work is busy and the weather is lousy again (Englands famous April showers are here, 2 days of indoor breaks at school = nightmare kids!!)

OK, I'm going to do my internet food shopping. Hopefully I can get a delivery slot for tomorrow evening.

Well if you want really exciting news my daughter is very happy to be having a Scoopy doo frozen dinner after swimming tonight. I know we sure no how to live in Massachusetts!

Hello everyone :wave2: - I'm feeling a little better and I went to work for awhile today. On a scale of 1 -10, I would say I'm a 6 - which is pretty good, because on Sunday I would have said I'm a 2.

ChrisnSteph posted on my "fireman's wife thread" that they are adopting a little boy. I'm so excited for them!! She's going to post some photos once her new son comes home - I'll keep you posted on how they are doing.

Take care everyone and have a good night!!

slo

Have you ever had one of those days were nothing in particular goes wrong, but you're still in a bad mood? Yeah, it's been one of those days! It's just the little things that get ya down. Like some days I really can't stand drill team and the girls in it, even though I call two of them my best friends. IDK, they were just ignoring me or something. It was also really cloudy and drizzly all day, so that gave me a headache. We also worked out for the first time since spring show, and our new captain made us kick, do TONS of crunches and a bunch more aerobic and OMG-I'm-gonna-be-so-sore-in-the-morning stuff. But anyway... enough complaining!
I bought my mother a present for Mother's day (shhh... don't tell her!) after school. So I guess I got something accomplished. Now I have to look up something for Cinco de Mayo for spanish class tomorrow. I hope everyone has had a great day and has a great one tomorrow!

DHS, try a couple of Aadvil before you go to bed... works for me...

I have been grumpy for the last couple of days too, Even IAN was crying for no reason last night... It must be something in the air.... I would NEVER SAY that RRBB was a trifle grumpy, but... well, she is not happy with me at the moment..... My Fault I am sure..... Oh Well...
