Everyone thanx for the PD. I'm still at home sick. My temp last night was 104.
I feel better today and I'm pretty sure I will go back to school tomorrow.

DHSsenior007 sorry it took so long to tell you congrats but congrats.

Here I am - home from work early. BabyKate has a problem with her wrist. I mentioned in an earlier post that she was upset and crying all night and she did again last night. She kept saying "Ouchy!!". I finally pinpointed in to her wrist and now the Pediatrician has us off to a Pediatric Orthopedic doctor. She will have X-rays to see if she has a sprain, fracture, or a problem with her growth plates.

Please wish us luck - she has been through so much in her little life. I am just praying she has a sprain and that is all.

Talk to you later - slo

welllll? how is she???? Hopefully it is just a bruise or something. How old is Kate?

My son lettered last night in indoor track. The only freshman. He now has lettered in two sports. Not too bad for a hs of 5000 plus!!

Busy day. Off to the races.... SLO, please let us know. I'll pop by later to see how she is

Kate is 18 months old and she is just the sweetest little girl princess: To answer your question on how she is - she is doing better. She had dislocated her elbow and the doctor said that a dislocation is as painful or more painful as a fracture. :( The good thing about a dislocation is when the area is relocated the pain almost goes away immediately, except for a little tenderness.

When we went to the doctor, it was right at nap time, and her arm hurt so bad. When they did the X-rays she screamed because they are twisting her arm certain ways, and it was really hard to hold her still - she is very strong. Then when the doctor realized her elbow was dislocated - he popped it back into place - and that made her scream even more. The doctor put a cast on her arm because he said that a dislocation needs to be stabelized after it is relocated - Kate didn't like that either - she screamed the whole time they put on the cast. I felt so bad for my poor baby :guilty: - what a hard day for her!!!

Now she has her purple cast and it is pretty heavy on her little arm - she walks a little off balance. But......last night she was so much happier. :flower: She was laughing, playing with toys, and dancing to music  . There was none of that going on the couple of nights prior to this. :sad2:

She has to have the cast on for 3 1/2 weeks and I have a feeling it's going to be a long 3 1/2 weeks. She eats with her hands still, so she's not going to be able to eat anything that could make the cast wet. So I am going to have to be creative with her meals.

Well, I better get going - I have to wake my 6 yr old up for school and help her get ready. princess:

Thank you pfishgirl for your best wishes and thank you cheeringmom for asking how she is doing :grouphug: I really appreciate it.

I gotta run - I hope everybody has a great and wonderful day today. :sunny:

Good morning!

Last night my friend dropped off her luggage at my house. She has a soccer game tonight, so she won't get here till about 11 PM or so, and then we leave at about 7 AM tomorrow!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!

Since WDW is a two day drive, we're spending the night at my grandparents' house in New Orleans, and then driving the rest of the way on Sunday. We're planning on having dinner at Beaches 'n Cream, and then heading to MGM for their Evening Magic Hours. WOOOHOO!!!!

Slo, Ouch!!! Poor Kate!! PD to her elbow!

CheeringMom, congrats to your son!! Good luck!

PGSweetie, I'm sorry that you were feeling so bad! I hope you do get to go to school today!

Well, in chemistry today, since all of our classes did so bad, he's having a re-test. However, it is open book, open notes, open papers, open anything! He'll also answer questions. For instance, if you want to ask if you are doing it right, he'll tell you yes or no, but that's it. But I heard that he's grading it tougher than what he did before, so I really think this teacher is crazy at this point!

slo :grouphug: i am happy to hear that Katie is doing better. Hopefully the next few weeks won't be as bad as you think. Will you let her draw all over the cast?

Cheeringmom congrats to your son.. have exciting..:cheer2: for both of you.

DHSsenior007 good luck on your test and have a safe drive and fun trip...

dropping off breakfast.. tonga toast and lots of chocolate - milk shakes and smoothies..

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Everyone (and their families) must get and stay well

................I have spoken! Sometimes I wish I ruled the world hehehehehehe

Hey pfishgirl, when is the AP premiere of Soarin ???? I have a trip to WDW 4/9-16 which is kind of in limbo due to health issues of the participants (see, I want EVERYBODY well!!!). I'd love to be able to ride it, if the 'premiere' is the 15th or 16th! If this trip falls through, I'll be heading over to Disneyland/DCA for a long weekend at least. Not quite the same as seven nights at WDW, but still provides some MAGIC.

Have a good day everybody......it's almost the weekend :sunny:

Guess What ?? You're in Luck!!!
AP Preview is April 15th - 17th !!! :sunny:
I hope all your sickies get better so you can join us on Soarin'

SLO----so sorry about DD But I am glad she is feeling better now...I had a purple cast once but I had to wear it for 3 months :earseek: I broke my wrist in 2 places and fractured my fore arm ... Tought me never to Jump on a bed anymore.. :Pinkbounc Good Luck!!! I wish those things weren't so heavy !

checkin' back with ya' all later!!!!
:moped:

Good evening everyone,

Well finally it's the weekend and I sure am glad. Work this week has been hectic and the kids at some points a nightmare. But I have 2 days rest at last.

DHSsenior007 I hope you have an amazing trip to WDW. I am so jealous. I'm sure you have mentioned it but where are you staying and how long for?

slo I hope Katie gets better soon. Poor little girl. I broke my arm when I was 6 and got chicken pox at the same time. My mum had to pour calamine lotion down my pot (I guess you call them a cast) and poke it down with a knitting needle!!

Cheeringmom congratulations to your son. He must be really good at his sports.

PGSweetie how are you feeling today? I hope you are much better.

Oh well it is dinner time here and I have to go out this evening to plan a show for the theatre. We are doing a variety show of pop songs through the decades from 1940's up to now. Does anyone have any suggestions of songs we could do?

Slo I'm sorry to hear about your little one.

DS senior have a great trip. Lots of details when you get back.

I went to school today for about two and a half hours today and then I came home again.

Slo sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she feels better my grandma just got a cast off.

Well gotta go watch General Hospital so talk to you guys later.

Hello everybody and how is everyone tonight? We had a much better day today - BabyKatie is adjusting to her cast real well. She is still a little off balance, but it doesn't seem to bother her. It is just so nice to see her smiling again. princess:

cheeringmom - congratulations to your son for lettering in indoor track. :cheer2: I'm sure you are all very excited about this. It's wonderful to see your child succeed at something they love to do.

DHSsenior007 - if you see this before you leave - have a great trip!!!! Stay safe and have a great time. Let us know as soon as you return and tell us all about the trip.

geffric - to answer your question about BabyKaties cast - I would love to let her and her sister draw all over it - but I can't. The cast is dark purple and it is not a smooth surface - the cast is not plaster it is fiberglass. It is to bad that it can't be written on - my oldest would have loved to decorate it. :p

pfishgirl - how are those girl scout cookies??? I want some. If I come over will you make me one of your famous sundaes
food-smiley-016.gif
?? They sound so yummy!!! :goodvibes

Danauk, s&k'smom, & PG Sweetie - thank you for all your well wishes for my BabyKatie :grouphug: It's so nice to know that everyone cares about my little girl.

Well, I think that covers everything. I hope everyone has a great night tonight and has a great day tomorrow.

Talk to you all later - slo
