That is what I did but cut the sugar in half, I thought the cranberry was too sweet.

Yeah it is quite sweet. I've been using a generous splash of lime with it when I put it in a cosmo.

Oh so you did the same recipe?

Not sure I would cut the sugar quite that much for things that are as sour as lemon/lime or as bitter as grapefruit tho . Maybe like 1/4 to 1/3

I wonder if you could just thinly slice the lemons and have it soak in the vodka for awhile... more of an infusion than a liquor...

No I did not use the same recipe, the others don't have fruit in them, just the rind

Why the dark? I let my cranberry age in the fridge - haha. I still have like half a jar left (made 6, gave away 4). Hoping I get the jars back from the ones I gave away but I am not sure about that anymore... booo


I am going to try to make something more like grey goose limon (so just the citrus flavor - no sugar)... but using limes instead. Then I can use that in my cosmos - yum

I buy this amazing Lime Run, from St Kitts, I just sip on this or make Mijoitos with it, so that should be my next project.

yummy - yeah!! I don't see much lime vodka or rum... but it could be coming soon. I heard that there's been a big shift in switching up lemon and lime flavors lately, so we'll see

Good Morning (almost afternoon) all!!!

Ugh, I hate working when my whole family is at home. :-( I guess I'll appreciate it come the holidays when I have extra time off though....

How was everyones weekends? I never left the house after getting home from work on Friday. It was heaven!!! I got a ton of laundry done and cleared out my piles of bills (2011 and 2012 needed to be sorted and filed). It is nice to have a clean area to start putting 2013 now.

We got our Federal taxes on Friday (woo hoo) so I need to figure out what goes where, LOL.

I need new window coverings for the whole house but have no idea where to start. We have always just done mix and match, a couple of windows at a time. But this time I want to throw it all out and start clean.
Any suggestions? Should I have someone come in and show samples/provide estimates, etc? I guess we can measure all the windows and go somewhere to order them, but I'm leaning towards letting someone else do all the work

Hi Jetski!

That sounds very productive. This was our weekend to go out so we did the Bands, Brew and BBQ at seaworld on Saturday. We ended up skipping Sunday at Busch tho because it was sooooooooo cold saturday and the temps continued. Bummer bcz I love Barenaked Ladies.

Taxes! Filed mine Friday and awaiting it now. Not sure what ours will go to... some put away for vacations and some for savings (or getting some stuff now like tires). Fun fun!

I am anxiously awaiting April 1 so I can book Disneyland (the villas)... we decided to go for a 1 bedroom as we are inviting a friend to join us.
